Hi I like your tips, thank you Just want to clarify something, you mentioned that "memorize by bullet points only after you have written out your script and memorized it" May I know what do you mean by after you have memorized it? Do you mean that we have to write out the whole script first then memorize it word for word and then only after that we can change to memorize by bullet points?
yes that is my suggestion. The reason you write out your script first is because you want to get out every single idea and concept out of your head before you begin memorizing your "Main Points". You are essentially funneling out the content that does match your purpose. After you do that, you can then focus more on "Bullet Points" which serves more as "Performance" practice versus "Reciting". Does that make sense?
@@JonPengSpeech thank you for the reply. Just to check, after we have written out the whole entire script, do we then start to memorise it word for word or just memorise it by bullet points?
my honest suggestion to you is to do what works best for you. I personally will at least have the script slightly memorized from A to Z so that the information is "Embedded" in my brain. When it comes to performance time I will practice the "Bullet Points". The benefit of memorizing your script and then bullet points is that you'll have the content in your "Reserve" memory just in case you mess up! Think of it as your natural reflex.
I like your speech very much. I am a member of Suzhou toastmasters club.
丁正东 thank you my friend! Hopefully one day I can visit your club.
