imo in order
- welded diff
- coilovers
- seat with decent bolsters and smaller steering wheel
- if coilovers made your car drop a lot -> rear camber arms (will save you lots of money in tires)
- with stock power -> harder rear swaybar
Also, if you've been sliding for a while, consider the subframe weld reinforcementes.
Stock handbrake locks up fine for me, and you can even remove the spring in the handle so it doesn't get locked up there

Why would you not recommend the weld in chassis reinforcements?
cause if your drifting it it’ll be totaled by the time those are required.
This video is straight up savage. completely killed it. color grade, cuts, variation of shots. i’m going to hit replay and enjoy this video again :)

TimursFTW glad to hear that!
Got everything on mine besides the hydro e installed 👍🏼
Same story here 😂 Bc Racing/3.91 Plate Welded/Slr Ultra Kit/Nrg seats
Great tips Jon. And the welded dif is great, but you know a welded 6 cylinder automatic dif is even better for drifting, because of better ratio for the purpose. Keep it up. And save them all ;-) . Dutch regards, Nico
Hey man, Ya I'm actually going to try to pull one from a salvage yard soon. Thanks man
I love ur channel bro
Michael Grippa thanks Michael!
Cool to see the tracks that are just right in my area. Looking into getting a e36 here soon to drift. Though judging by what bumper it has it looks like a 318i
nice video man
Thanks man

running a wisefab lock kit on my 323 OBP hydro, welded diff that's it.
Link to weld on dual caliper brackets???
Personally angle is no.1 but how come we don't talk tires. It's literllay the most important thing.
I’m getting all those mods when I get my e36
hi on the engine and reliability, what are must do mods? for example thermostat removal and standalone ecu? etc...
general maintenance. water pump, electric fan, belts, tensioners, intake manifold gaskets, vacuum lines, oil filter housing gasket.
run lucus oil stabilizer if it's a drift car.
@@jspeedracing what does that do?
Where I am from, the average monthly wage in about 600$/month after the income fee. And an 328i e36 costs around 2 grand. So for me suspension is only cut springs.
where u come from
That spoiler on the e36
That blue e36 is actually turbocharged
link for the steering wheel adapter???
Took my e36 drifting last weekend and i had trouble with understeer. my e36 is pretty much stock except for a lsd and coilovers.
work on your alignment and tire size and type up front
Awesome, How are your front tires? Get some good sticky boys up front. Also, welded diff is so much better than a lsd.
stock lsd has little lock. im assuming its a 318is , get a 3.91 diff and weld it. dont use good tires on the rear obviously
Sell the LSD, you can make good buck with it , enough to buy the 3.91 diff and weld it and some other goodies
@@FOXeye95 3.91 diff for an 168 diff?
@@jaumetellez7721 168 diff?
jon drives sounds like inkslasher
curently 14 yrs old lmao. Watching this vid just makes me want to grow older so fvaking fast man
Soon my man
Save up bro alot! You can find odd jobs and stuff like that and im pretyy sure at 16 you can work
@@chrisrod2525 okay 👍 thx for the tip
How much it cost in total
All the 10yr olds be like: where da turbo!?
E36 or e46 for a first drift/project car?
Luis Sandoval I’ve never messed around much with E46’s. But I’m hoping to try them out someday
What are the downside with welded diff? I can only afford 1 car so can I still dailydrive the car?
Jakob 20 yes you can daily drive it. It’s noticeable but if you’re cool with it, you’ll be fine. A friend of mine daily’s his.
Jon Drives oh ok good to know. Since I will mainly daily it, is it still possible to drift occasionally? (Without welded diff)
@@jakob2049 did you find out if you can still drift with the diff on
@@unknownplayer6319 its definitely possible ok wet roads at least
@@jakob2049 what about LSD
Lolz 1st I have to swap an M50 in cos auto 1.6 ain't gona do much 😅😂
Ayee bro I drift at Okc Motorsport complex in my e36 saw you throwing it there at 3:00 minutes, I don’t know how to direct message on RUclips but message me and add me on snap chat
Is it your car reliable in 2020?
A1i it still runs ya lol
I thought all M3's had a LSD?
thats true, but most people use the much cheaper 3 series model for drifting.
@@jensenparker5504 Oh okay I didn't realize they were just talking about standard E36's and not M3's too.
