- Can you buy a new 4x4 bakkie for less than R350k and still be able to drive almost everywhere? We try and find out with the Mahindra Scorpio Pick Up S6 and the JAC T6 Lux. Before you guys crucify us, we've never done off-roading before. This is like a 4x4 for dummies thing and like always we'll be doing a DRAG RACE!

The chinese JAC is something that is built to look appealing a few thousand kilometres and it will be lying around, while the mahindra is a proven offroad brand with over 70 year of experience and their vehicles usually last for 400000-500000 km.
Dont compare the workhorse Mahindra with that chinese doodoo
I used mahindras, they are super reliable and very tough vehicles for rough usage.
Mahindra runs on every Road in India, if a vehicle which can run on rough roads like in India, it can run anywhere.
Super reliable, cheap servicing, good availability of the parts.
Ye scorpio is king in its segment in India 🔥
I don't recommend buying JAC as it is a cheap Chinese company and has reliability issues, just go for mahindra it is a reliable and stronger car
Greetings from Guatemala, I've just got a Mahindra long bed pickup to work my farm, and I am Impressed, so far it's been really good, I have been putting it to work hard on dirt roads and mountains and all within my budget.
Modify the Scorpio like how Taiwanese do and Conquer offroad😍😍

If I buy a Mahindra I am concerned when people ask me a question I will wobble my head sideways... Good video , Mahindra is making some ground world wide based on mechanical reliability. The Chinese are out to break into this market. Durability will be their obstacle to win over buyer confidence. Time will tell.

Mahindra is the best
Mahindra is competing the mainstream brands like Toyota and hyundai here in India. The reliability is at par if not superior.
Great video guys! If you're going to be doing more off-road testing, I highly recommend taking an off-road driving course or two, it just teaches you some of the smaller things to get more out of your vehicle and in a safer way.
It was pretty good to see a comparison between these budget bakkies.

Why do you call 4x4's Bucky's?
It’s actually “bakkie” which is from the afrikaans language used in south africa. Seems this video was made in south africa. The word is used where other countries might call it a “truck”. “Bakkie” refers more to the load bin aspect of the vehicle.
Well... I can probably bend the bak of my Ford Ranger if I fart hard enough so.... Bakkies need to be cheaper and tougher. None of this performance bs that is going around now.
