Black Rifle is my daily driver coffee. It’s really hard to find better for the price and availability, especially after military discount. Plus they send coffee to people overseas, so they have earned my loyalty because they have been loyal to me.

I just tried the "just black" roast. I bought whole beans. It's a lot darker than I'd expect a medium roast to be. It has a very distinct "incense" smell / taste to me. It's a taste / smell that strongly reminds me of a church. It's not bad, but it's so different from how everyone else describes it that I think I got a bad bag.
I made some cold brew with the Black Rifle light roast last night. I was going to put some sweet cream in it but decided to drink it black after the first sip.
I picked up some Keurig pods at walmart when I saw this brand and thought the price was right. The JB brew. I think its ok. Not bad, not great, right in there in the middle. Id give it a 5/10
Absolutely love BRCC, call me crazy but takes me back to taking warm water and throwing the mre coffee in my mouth and having it sit while in the field.
Can you explain the differences between their medium roasts? They have like 4 different medium names and pics on the bags, but they don't give a flavor description. The bags all just say medium
My favorite go-to though has got to be Gunship. Medium roast, super smooth, and it doesn't matter how I brew it I love it every time. Second on my list is AK-47 it's an espresso blend but I cold brew it or French press and it's got a lot of chocolate it's just wonderful. Oh, and worthy of mention is the vanilla

"Stumptown" & "kicking horse" are also very good and if you like very high caffeinated coffee "death wish" has great taste and mean kick. 🇺🇲#FJB🇺🇲
Now when you go down the walmart coffee isle they have about 12 different preground coffee, km sure they sell whole bean, but walmart doesnt carry much whole bean anymore
Great video. I’ve only been drinking coffee for a few years, so I’m still a novice. I drink Black Rifle from a French Press every day and really enjoy it. I add flavored creamer to it (usually chocolate). I started that way to ease into coffee and I’ve just been stuck there. Should I try to move to black coffee or just stay where I am?
You know, I used to do the same exact thing for years. There is nothing inherently wrong with putting sugar, cream, or flavorings into your coffee. If that's what you like, then go for it! What I discovered however, is that when you drink a high quality coffee that you really enjoy, any additive just completely ruins the natural flavor. It's like putting ketchup on a delicious expensive steak. So to summarize, drink your coffee in whatever way you prefer. But eventually you will find a bean so delicious that any additives will detract from, rather than enhance the experience.
I agree. I put french vanilla in my coffee and it goes very well with the 'Just Black' roast. can you name a bean that you've tried that changed your perspective on putting additives to your coffee? I'd love to try a bean that good
@@ConservativeGangstR the first one that comes to mind is Kopi Luwak - we got a bag from Kaya Kopi. The taste was so buttery smooth and delicious and just... perfect. Recently tried their Tactisquatch Dark Roast. Easily the best dark roast I’ve had, and I’ve tried a bunch. It’s far more complex and less one note than most darks. Molasses, orange, and dark cocoa all come through with a heavy viscous body. These guys know what they’re doing.
Honestly, we weren't expecting much at first but we were pleasantly surprised and impressed with everything we have tried from them so far. Gotta try the Tactisquatch now.
Agreed. I'm not much of a dark roast fan, but I do like the Squatch roast. I do cold brew most of my coffee and I have to add that I like the Squatch better hot than I do cold-brewed. Where most of the time cold brew brings out the sweetness, it's more prevalent in this roast when it's brewed hot.
You would probably do better buying directly from them anyway. You will get a fresher bag that hasn't sat on a grocery store shelf for an undetermined amount of time. Good luck!
I love their mission statement, but to be honest, I've had Just Black, Silencer Smooth, AK-47, and Loyalty Roast, and they all suck. I don't know if it's because it was pre ground and lost its flavor or because I drink it black, but compared to other pre grounds consumed black too, their flavors are second to worst. Again, I love their mission statement behind the coffee, but the coffee itself is trash, unfortunately.
