I find every Kirkland coffee to be way darker than what the bag says! Not bad, just not what you expect by a “medium roast”, just be weary as sometimes the beans will be oily and go stale pretty quick.
These were pretty oily and dark but they held up surprisingly well. It's always a hit or miss with these types of bags as they have multiple year expiration dates and you never really know how old the beans are when you buy them. This bag was probably pretty fresh though. I always like seeing a "roasted on" date on a bag rather than an expiration date
Probably my favorite coffee beans. I've tried numerous and I always go back to this.
Been drinking this coffee every morning for about 2 years! I really like it for the price and taste :)
I've used these beans in my espresso machine and absolutely love them. My family friends and relatives now buy these beans after tasting them from me.
Very nice! Always feels good to introduce someone to a nice coffee
I think you guys were a bit harsh. This is my favorite affordable coffee brand for bulk. It's dark yes, but that's what I like. I prefer a dark coffee that isn't burnt like French Roast. Usually this is my favorite bang for the buck dark roast, and it reminds strongly of a dark bitter chocolate. This is not a coffee I'm preparing anyway more special then in a mr coffee maker after fresh grinding. This is just on stand by for family waking up. However what I like best about it is it's dependable with hardly any variation. This coffee is stronger then 90% of the world's pansy feelings. I know what I'm getting and I'm getting good coffee for the price point. Also this is NOTHING like chickory coffee...maybe you should try and review nawlins style chikory coffee (technically not coffee) it's also a root, not a wood. Is this the best coffee? nope, Do I also like to buy better coffee for special occasions or maybe after dinner? yes. Do I need snooty coffee to keep from murdering people in the morning? Nope.
Do you guys have a favorite dark roast? I saw your review of Oakland's father of all dark roast and actually ended up trying that coffee and it was pretty good but I'm looking for some others to try. My preference has always been ULTRA dark roasts like the oakland father of all dark roasts. I like italian style of french roast coffees. There's a richness in them that I just prefer.
Good morning boys, I'm a huge fan of Jamaican Blue Mountain. I would love to see your take on this. Thanks!
Request to Test: Kirkland House Blend.
I do espresso with these and very happy with the results
In store this is three pounds for $18 I think. I agree it's on the darker side but quite good for cold brew or iced coffee. I wish Costco would carry more light roast in store.
I just tasted, seems nice to drink
I read somewhere, maybe on the bag, that it is roasted by Starbucks. This might explain the dark burnt taste. I make my morning brew in an electric percolator. I measure my coffee by weight, and I've found that I use less coffee per pot because of its strength. In my opinion, Sam's Makers mart offering is a better bargain, and a better taste overall...
I haven't bought either of these I'm assuming the the big can of pre-grind supremo is same coffee my main question what's your taste comparison towards bustelo coffee
I would take this over bustelo for most applications. Bustelo would probably be better suited in an espresso format
@@WholeBrainCoffee 👍👍 thanks at costco now
Can you let us know whats your Favorite coffee they Sale ?
Can you please please try BJs Welsley Farms Colombian whole bean coffee?
Absolutely! We love suggestions so thank you for this one - added to the list. We have a bit in the queue but will get to it asap. Thanks!
Great video as usual.. I totally agree on the Starbucks coffee it is awful
Good morning guys! Costco has some good coffee. The Kirkland House Blend also claims to be medium roast but is very smoky and dark. The Kirkland House is roasted by Starbucks I wonder if this Colombia Supreme is as well. It would explain the darkness to them.
Ohh that's an interesting fact, I didn't know that Starbucks roasted their Kirkland house blend. I wonder if this one has similar origins as it would explain a lot
Just tried them. I hate them, I tried it in pour overs and a mocha pot with various grind settings. Maybe only good in espresso?
It was OK in a pour over, nothing special. I'd suggest just going for a different coffee if you really disliked this one!
I would say 🤔 that the cat on the label is a Jaguar, because the coffee is Columbian, and Jaguars exist in south America, Cheetah's are from Africa and have the distinct black tear drops, and do not exist in south America. Leopards 🐆 are slightly smaller than Jaguars
Jaguar for sure! I spent many sleepless nights trying to identify the depicted cat and eventually came to the same conclusion as you
Great video
Thank you!! Means a lot to us
This particular coffee came out pretty good from the moka pot
I bought this recently at Costco and instantly regret it. The coffee tastes very burnt, very woody and smoky. It's terrible. I'm returning the bag back to Costco. Costco says if you're not satisfied with the product, it can be returned - I'm going to do just that.
You know next they'll have to review an actual chicory coffee
You taught me something today - chicory root coffee is a real thing. Don't think we will be reviewing that any time soon though! It's claimed to be a "healthy alternative to coffee" but I'll stick with the unhealthy kind :)
I think the coffee is good
Kirkland products... Honestly, best bang for the buck
The Animal in that Bag is a Yaguar Baby.
Leopardo 🐆
Are you sure? I believe leopards only exist in Africa and Asia
Lol. I threw this bag out couldn’t stand it
You... threw... out.... coffee??????
Snow leopard
Are you sure? Those aren't native to South America!
Snow in Colombia? Maybe not.
Pretty sure this is Starbucks coffee…
A jaguar is a type of leopard that lives in Central & South America - so while leopard is technically correct, I'm guessing they were aiming for a jaguar since that's were the coffee is grown.
My suspicions have been confirmed. Thanks!
