    THANK YOU!
Your video saved me a ton of time - I swapped out the starter motor on my 2011 2.0 Diesel in under 2hrs, including a coffee break :)
A couple of extra tips, in case it helps anyone:
    - I only removed the middle section of the "business". Removed the large hose on the bottom as per your video. By removing the three additional caphead bolts holding the top section to the middle, the middle section can be slid out. Much less faff, as long as you've got small-ish hands.
    - My standard Halfords socket set let me get straight onto all of the bolts required

Thank you for this movie. Thanks to you, I was able to replace the starter motor in a immobilized car in an underground car park. :)

nice one mate, I did mine from the bottom, and top! I did borrow an 18mm long reach socket to get the top bolt (working from underneath) out, but ended up doing your spanner trick from the top. worked a treat. good luck for the new year and its people like you who save people like me $$$$$$$$$$$. thanks.

Another great video. Thank you for uploading. I managed to sort out the Alternator problem last week, with your help. Now, i feel sure, the starter motor has packed up. Can you pls tell me tell me if it can also be removed from under the car to avoid dismanteling the air intake and connectors?

Thanks 👍 I think dismantling air intake is much easier that trying access it from the bottom. At least for me it was.

Thank you very much for your videos on the Ford Galaxy 2.0 TdCi, it has really helped me with changing the air and pollen filters on this car. Can you provide some help/guide on how to locate and replace the O2 sensor (upstream, Bank 1 Sensor 1) on this car? I know it is at the back of the engine somewhere, my local garage has struggled to get it out and they are suggesting taking some parts of the engine out to get to the sensor which seems a bit extreme but I would like to know your opinion on it. Thanks again.

Hello, I didn't see that car for some time, because it's my friend's car.. We will meet at some point I will have a look.
Normally meaning of Bank 1 Sensor 1 is Bank 1 means first cylinder head and have only 1 anyway, Sensor 1 is the 1st sensor on exhaust system and with my experience on VWs it normally sits somewhere on DPF.

Gr8 vid you made that look easy. Have u pulled 1 of these dct450 transmissions out? You’d make that look easy too. Theres 10 videos how to remove a dct250 focus transmission and 10 on how to rebuild a dct450 on a bench. The dct250 has a lifting point on top to balance n lower the transmission easily but doesn’t appear to have 1 on the dct450
I’m sure any transmission can be replaced easily on a car hoist with trans jacks I don’t have that. Surprised there isn’t a vid on removing 1 of these dct450s yet, a global problem all powershift transmissions

You didn't mention removing the airbox or what cables you disconnected on the battery. Red, black or both? Didn;t you lose any settings disconnecting it please?

Please have a look in my video about cambelt change for this car. This material is taken from there. Disconnecing the battery didn't affect any settings for us.

4:23 I can’t slide the hose off. It seems to be some special thing at the backside of the clamp holding the clamp in place and also the hose.

    • @wawayltd
      @wawayltd  Год назад

      Did you slacken the clamp?

@@wawayltd Yes. Problem solved. There was just some goey stuff inside the hose, I just had to pull and pry a lot and it came off. Timing belt changed.
