Growing up as a husky sized child in the late 1980's and early 1990's, the L.A. BEAST used to love riding his Huffy Bicycle to The Baseball Card Store in Midland Park, New Jersey to buy packs of sports cards with the hopes of taking them home, tearing them open and finding some rare gems and rookie cards of his favorite players. Over the years, He has collected cards from some of his favorite players such Kirby Puckett, George Brett, Nolan Ryan, Greg Maddux and has also racked up a sweet autograph collection as well. When reading the old Beckett Price guide magazines, there would always be articles on some of the more rare cards in circulation, such as the 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan Rookie card, A Frank Thomas Topps Rookie error card with no name on the front, and cards like Babe Ruth and Honus Wagner to name a few.....which are all valued in the 10's of thousands of dollars if not hundreds of thousands...when in PRISTINE CONDITION. After roaming around on eBay randomly one day, the L.A. BEAST stumbled upon the opportunity to bid on two RARE Wax Packs of 1986 Fleer Basketball cards, which not only could contain rookie cards from Hall of Famers like Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Dominique Wilkins, Isiah THomas, Akeem Olajuwan, and Clyde Drexler, but also Michael Jordan's official rookie card....which if in mint condition could be valued at $20,000 plus. After winning both bids and $579 later, the L.A. BEAST is about to take a trip back in time and hopefully meet face to face with arguably the best player in NBA History, by scoring his rookie card.

Bowflex, tools and built a new addition to the garage plus a new suburban. Bastard said he was just putting it in a safe place for me. My card is valued at 6 million dollars today.

I actually had one... picked it up for literally 10 cents in a commons box at a baseball card show. Sold it for two hundred bucks in the 90s. No regrets.

This is definitely real. I used to work at a card shop back in the 80s and learned fairly quickly after buying many packs of this set that they are sequenced. Every other card runs in order. So when you said the first couple of cards, I knew you were going to get the Jordan. So if you just happen to have the set and packs and wanted to fake it, I guess you could. But otherwise, this is definitely legit.

@@logikylearguments6852 i mentioned in another comment about magic the gathering cards. in MTG community fakes have gotten so good (for modern cards especially) it is hard to tell good fakes. but the problem with unopened vintage packs is more of people "searching" them or opening and resealing them. you use your fingernail to push each card up to the top so you can see what the card is. so when you buy unopened packs you never get the big hits because people have already searched/opened them to make sure expensive things arent in there. BUT my point is, you dont really get unopened packs with a fake card in it. you get fakes when you buy singles, or you get ripped off on unopened packs that have already been searched/opened. it wouldnt make sense to re-seal a pack and put a fake. the people buying the expensive pack would be ripped off either way if the pack had been opened. why put in a fake card to increase chances of them finding out?
This is legit amazing. That card goes from $1,000 to $15,000 depending on the PSA rating. Very very cool

I don’t trust those packs online or from anywhere. Their to easy to seal back up.
There’s a rating system of eBay that keeps most sellers and buyers in check. Only buy from stores that have tons of positive reviews, and you’re usually okay.

When did sports trading cards go from 12 cards, a sticker and a long ass piece of gum in every pack, and less than 150 cards to collect, to 5 cards in every pack and 600 cards to collect?

I've been burnt on ebay buying 80 Topps looking for a bird rc. It's very hard to say how many packs of these are left. I imagine not many at all. It's a huge deal whenever a box turns up. It's possible in a storage unit or basement that there are sealed cases though long lost.

I would only go thru PSA, they are the top grading company. You could try the New Jersey branch, but I'm not sure they allow walk-in's. I know in CA we only allow some customers to walk-in, most not.

If it was real it would be worth over a thousand at worst. A ton more if it graded a 10. Unfortunately that’s a fake RC card. Easy to spot if you know what to look for. Definitely wouldn’t trust this dude

Fun Fact about the 1986 Fleer set. Although, a PSA Mint 10 MJ card is the most valuable card in the set because its well…Michael Jordan, the second most valuable card in that set would surprise you.
No, it’s not Isaiah Thomas, or Hakeem, or Ewing. It’s a man, you have never heard of. It’s a man who never made an all star team. A man who averaged 9.4 points and 7.4 assists over his nine-season career. His name is Johnny Moore.
While everyone has been hoarding all of the MJ, and Olajuwon cards, Johnny was being thrown into the trash. It is for that reason that Johnny’s card is extremely valuable.
For the collectors who want the entire 132 card set, and have seemingly endless amounts of cash to throw at pieces of cardboard, they need the ever sought after Johnny Moore Card. Otherwise, the don’t have the complete set.

I second that... Ive been trying for that card for YEARS! Even when I was a kid that card was worth hundreds of dollars so I was never able to buy it. Now I wish I would of bought the set back in the day.

I remember there being like 5 open boxes of those 86’ Fleer’s at a drug store I used to go to with my mom when I was 11. She would only buy me a couple packs at a time & I ended up with probably 100 cards & never got the MJ rookie. I had no confidence he would get one & I was as shocked & happy as LA Beast himself when he got one. Congrats!

Unfortunately the one he pulled is only about $20. Only the centered PSA 10 ones will sell for a lot. Even the Jordan is probably only a couple thousand AT BEST, and that was before the spit.

@@jnscrews they are trackable for the most part, the runs were standard, once you opened two packs you know which direction to go to get the Jordan in the case. Usually 1 per case sometimes 2. My guess is it's set up.
