Back in 3rd grade (1993), The L.A. BEAST received a Valentines Day card from his classmates & besides everyone saying "Kevin, You Are Very Nice", the only other comment on there was by John who said, "I think Kevin has Some of the neatest Things." Growing up as a kid in the late 1980's & early 1990's the L.A. BEAST always used to receive sweet toys for Christmas, Holidays and other Special occasions and because his mom never threw any of his stuff away throughout the years, the BEast still has bins and bins full of his broken toys and games.
Back in 2015, After seeing what some VINTAGE 80's & 90's toys can fetch on ebay, the L.A. BEAST started kicking himself for taking his old original toys out of their original packaging and playing with them....almost diminishing any value completely.
For the past 5 years, the L.A. BEAST has slowly been purchasing back his FAVORITE toys from his childhood (pieces of pop culture history) in their original packages and when you hold these special artifacts it really does feel like you are holding a piece of history.
In this video you will be awarded a BLAST INTO THE PAST with the L. A. BEAST as he shares with you some of the TOP SELLING Toys of the 1980's and 1990's.

Born in the same year myself. Our era was basically the golden era for commercializing products aimed at kids. He-Man was created as a toy line with the cartoon show an afterthought of how to promote it, basically a 20min tv advertisement...brilliant! We had it great though with original Transformers, Voltron, GI Joe, Toxic Crusaders, hand held nintendo games, WWF thumb wrestlers and then the hasbro line, commodore 64 and The Amiga 500, nintendo and Sega Master System, Micro Machines, Garbage Pail Kids and heaps more. AEWSOME TIMES!

I'm glad I'm not the only grown man who still buys wrestling figures. I just keep most of them in their packaging and display them on my wall, but also have a shelf for the ones that I found without the packaging or felt the need to open for whatever reason. I get so much shit for that being one of the things I collect from some people, but really don't care cause they remind me of being a kid and make me happy, so who is anyone to tell me what I can and can't spend my money on?

I don´t often press like on videos. I only do it to save videos to watch later for some reason. HOWEVER, this video made me press the like button out of sheer joy. this video is like a representation of the untouched and uncorrupted soul that only a child could still have. I have no memories of ANY of these items as i am too young, but Kevin, you still made me feel nostalgic and i forgot about every worry i have. Finals due to next monday, me not being good enough for anything, not having any money left for the month, bills, the fact that i should be studying and much more. WHOOSH just pure childish joy for a great half an hour. This world can seem bleak and hopeless, and it is. the only light that exists in the dark is the one that people create. it exists in spite of the world not because of it.
I may be nothing, a no-one, but for what it´s worth i´m looking for something good, and maybe i can create something good to alleviate someone else´s suffering like you did with mine.
    cheers kevin.
    and
    Have a good day

I'm so glad you made this video. You spent a lot of time, money and research and it was fun to learn some things about older toys. I'm from 96 so I didn't see a lot of these toys but I do remember a lot. The early 2000 shared a lot of things from the 90s. I've never gotten rid of anything I've owned. My room right now is full of old toys on the shelves. Gameboy colors, PS1 games, stretch Screamers, Furbies, Beanie Babies, Don't Wake Daddy, mousetrap , Simon, I spy books. The list goes on and on. Maybe I should start selling on eBay

Beast!!! I had most of these toys as a kid, and also the whole M.A.S.K Boulder Hill playset, hundreds of Transformers, and a huge Star Wars collection with the Ewok Village playset. I opened them all, broke nearly all of them from constant use, and I feel sorry for anyone that didn't play with these toys and kept them for a later date just to make a few bucks. The fun I had with the toys of my childhood is so much more than the money I could get for them today. They don't make em like they used to... Great vid, btw! Keep up the good work! 👍

I remember when the super soaker first came out. At that point, the only squirt guns we had were those little see through plastic ones with the little plastic stopper in the back of it. When the commercials came on it was like WHAM! You can shoot this thing UP TO 10 FEEEEETTTTTT! It really was a game changer in the world of water based tag.
