Many rabbits HATE the smell and will not go near anything sprayed with ACV for days until the odor is gone. The smell is VERY irritating to their gentle mucus membranes. Much safer to use 3% Hydrogen Peroxide for disinfection which is odorless and inactivates quickly. Hydrogen Peroxide also does not leave a residue like ACV does that can irritate bunnies skin or taste bad if they lick themselves. The more you know.. 🌈

Just made a switch to the hooded litterbox and so glad I did! Was worried my bun wouldn't use it after being used to the standard open trays, but he started using it straight away after I set it up. Now I don't have to worry about having people over and judging my buns open toilet lol 😂

I use a hooded litter box with a door because my bun likes to dig all her litter out. My bun likes to chew pee pads, if I use them and cut the plastic sides is it still safe for her to chew? Or should I just use paper bags or newspaper?
I can't use pee pads either, i use a 3 layered litter box. First layer is hemp pellets (0 dust and absorb up to a week if needed) second layer is hurgo hemp bedding, and ater it i use a thick layer of straw. I keep hay in a hay pen right next to the litterboxes :)
I use horse stall bedding it's cheap and effective, however if you dont live in a town full of farms it may be hard to get your hands on as the bags are usually 40 lbs, and the manufacturer is probably not willing to ship it to your address.
I’m so glad Lennon is feeling better! The last video scared the crap out of me! I too use puppy pads in my bunnies boxes and the litter I use is just Horse stall pine pellets.

Pain management is very important for a quick and healthy recovery. Your rabbit needs to begin eating as soon as possible - within 24 hours of surgery. Offer fresh water, hay, veggies, and pellets. Keep a close eye on food and water consumption. If normal eating and drinking does not resume within 24 hours consult your veterinarian. Once back at home put your rabbit in a quiet, warm environment. If your bunny is part of a bonded pair or a group keep them together, as long as they interact calmly with each other. Being together during recovery should be comforting for your rabbit and can reduce stress and facilitate healing. Avoid handling your rabbit to much the first night after surgery. She’ll appreciate having a quiet space to rest without too much interference. In the three or four days following surgery she should resume her normal routine, including her normal activities, appetite, and interactions with you. Do limit exercise for the first 10 days. Be sure to monitor your rabbit’s poops! Output should return to normal within a day or two. If fecal output slows or stops contact your vet right away. Rabbits generally recover quickly from spay/neuter surgery and often return to their normal behavior in just a few days. Males usually recover from neuter surgery more quickly than females recover from spay surgery. It is important that you wait 30 days after surgery before making an introduction to other rabbits.
And if your asking what type of breed she is I really don’t know we saved her from a swap meet because she was in a super small cage and they were so many bunnies in it and she didn’t have no food or water it was sad so we took her in without no information about her what we found our gender quick
I am SO happy I found your channel! Since watching your first video I’ve watched nearly all of them in a day and my bunny seems SO much happier and even healthier!
Hi Lorelei and Lennon! I love your channel and have been watching for around 3 weeks now. I adopted a rabbit called bubbles and wanted to provide him with the best care I could. Initially we were advised to have him in a cage a give him a water bottle. I now give him a bowl with water. I now am transitioning him into a large pen and I give up to 12 hours of play time. Thank you so much for providing great information and spreading awareness. I love your channel so much and wish you and Lennon much luck in the future. Xx lots of love from London ❤️
😂😂 You must be wasting a lot of money! check craigslist to see if there are farms near you that sell 50 lbs. for $5 also if you look on amazon you can find hay thats slightly cheaper than pet store hay Please don't waste your money on that!!!!
Wolfi fan yes a few days after the comment i just posted i stopped getting small bags of hay at the local pet shop, now i buy at a hay mill where they sell lots of big bags of timothy hay for very cheap! Thank you though

Hey, I have a question... Why would i put hay on the litter would he pee on the then ingest the " pee hay ". And if hay is 80 percent of there food why wouldn't i put the hay simply in the food bowl. Please respond im planning on getting a rabbit
@@Solmulaa Rabbits are intelligent animals, so your bun will most likely know to pick out the fresh bits of hay from their litter box. Rabbits are like to eat while doing their business, which is why we put hay in their litter box.
I love the use of the cat litter tray, I mean really they should just call them pet litter trays. I plan on getting a tray with a hood. Currently using an open tray since my bun is so big, and can't really find a big hooded litter tray. Love the video as usual ❤
I got my first rabbit two days ago, and I haven't planned a litter at all. I didn't do my research well, but this evening I tried it and it seems like he understood how to use it right away ! It's a start, as I am aware that he probably make some mistakes again, but I'm soooo relaxed about it now ! It was such a source of stress
Thank you for your videos! I was also stuck in the commercial method shavings and cage set up. I watched your video and hay in the litterbox! I was at first. Food where you do your thing??? But it works brilliant. I converted my one after neutering and after 48 hours I’m converting everyone now. I have 5 so free roam together is not possible. But they all get their individual time. They are almost all on fleece and litterbox method now. Happier bunnies= happier me. They are my “fur babies”
I have bought them at the dollar store but we also have a Ollie's its like a little bit of everything store I get the Big Pee Pad cheap by the Hundred for around 10 dollars when on sale www.ollies.us/home.html
Also don’t overwhelme yourself with heaps of responsibilities like don’t ever think your doing a bad job I’ve grown up with bunnies and since I had my own (my past ones were family bunnys) I’ve always felt bad I could never do the best job I’m sure you’ll do an amazing job taking care of your bunny good luck :)
I just got my rabbit 3 days ago and she’s already litter trained in just 2 days..so i gave her a treat as a reward..she doesn’t poop or pee everywhere already :D
OMG I'm so happy I just got a new bunny today I cried when my mom got me it AHHHHHHHH it's black and white and it's name is Valentine!!😭😭😭🐰🐇🐰🐇🐰🐇🌈🌈🦄🦄🦄💖💖💖💖💖💖🐰💖🐰🐇🐇🐰
I ise the equi e bedding pellets as the wood can be composted. I change my box once a week as its incredibly good at reducing smell. I dont clean when it gets smelly though I clean for hygiene reasons.
Took me a while, but Cadbury now eats his hay regularly! I don’t leave it in his litter box but he does get it everywhere! So your tips are great! He has his own room so it’s no biggie. I don’t mind sweeping everyday. My mom has a dog which is why he has a room to himself. I let him out and play and the dog is elsewhere. Normally they are okay but I feel better when she’s away from him.
I just wanted to say, your videos are the reason my flemish giant bunny has free run of the house unless I an mopping. She's six months old and we love her to bits. Her name is cornell in honor of the late Chris cornell. Another rock star bunny. I am glad lenen likes her new home. Keep hopping.
She is about eleven pounds now. The vet said she'll top out around twenty two pounds. That box of spring mix lasts two days not a week. I need a garden to feed this girl which is fine with me. When we bought hay for the first time the farmer wasn't sure it was a bunny, he'd never seen one like her.
I just got my bunny Gracie on Saturday, I had bought a different type of little box from amazon and she really likes it and has used it consistently at 2 months old I am impressed. She has poops outside her box but not pee. I am needing to move her to one like yours as this is really small but is only 2 months old and I worry she can't get into it for now she is in an x-pen but I plan on free ranging in the main part of my apartment it has no carpet. But where not there yet and I have a dog so they are getting acquainted slowly and she won't be able to be free roaming when leave but I work from home. My dog is actually afraid of the bunny for now. Thank you for your info.
My rabbit grew up in a cage (I eventually free roamed in my room because I found you) and I turned turned it into a litter box by removing the metal so she thinks its her old home I think. My rabbit is not spayed but since she grew up in the cage, she got used to it. She is also just a super smart rabbit :). I'm thinking on throwing it out and buying an actual litter box because the old cage is an eye sore and the sides are low. I needed some information on how to set one up so thank you!! :DD
The person I am getting my rabbits from told me to buy cat litter, but I couldnt find it in the store so I got paper litter for rabbits, and I am so happy I did that!!!! Was a lil weirded out by the cat litter
My litter box set up is similar but I use a extra large storage bin with one side cut low for entry. No lid as my bun is massive (20lbs). I use the puppy pads to line, paper pellets for litter then hay on top. I keep a supply of baby wipes and use those to clean/wipe out the box during cleaning.
I really had no idea on how to care for a rabbit until watching theses videos . I really continued to watch to make sure I wanted a rabbit 🐇 thank you so much for inspiring me to adopt my own baby rabbit. I just have a problem with getting to know my baby she doesn’t like being touched yet . 😔
LOL I was looking on Amazon for litter boxes and I saw one so I went to look at the reviews and I saw your review and a picture of Lennon in front of it
My buns always appreciate the low front, high back entry boxes. I can't find lids but discreet corners under a wood TV table do very well. Hardwood or Pine pellets are great odor absorbents. My guests could unwittingly sit right next to one and never notice a smell.
These videos are so incredibly helpful! I'm currently about to foster 2 bonded bunnies and i've been preparing using handbooks and your videos - Thank you so much for all the tips!

@@Solmulaa rabbits like to eat where they pee so if you put hay in a separate place they will start to pee and poo there
Can’t get over how perfect your intro is!
I have this litter box!! It’s very good!
Bunny Runner where did you find it? My rabbit luvs to kick all of his litter out, so this will help!
I believe it was Fred Meyer!
Bunny Runner Thank you! I will soon be buying this.
I hope u make more videos u are a amazing u should make more video everyday lol u are amaz2
Amazing
Thank u 💕 so helpful!!!
Hii lorelei i have a question: how do i get my 2 months old rabbit to eat alfalfa hay? He hates it. LOVE U 💜🇮🇹
My buns won't eat Timothy hay... I've heard if you mix it with an orchard grass because its sweeter this helps
You have to limit their pellets. My bun wouldn't eat hay and just starve and I literally had to follow him all day to make him eat hay lol
Baby rabbits don't need alfalfa hay, I would just give him timothy. Sometimes mine get picky and I mix in sweeter hay and then they go to town on it
You don't necessarily need to have alfalfa hay. You can just have regular Timothy hay and some alfalfa pellets.
@@ShiningStarrz I thought younger rabbits actually need the alfalfa hay for weight gain and nutrients?
Thank you for making videos about bunnies. Your videos helped me a lot when I adopted my bunny about 3 - 4 weeks ago.
Can I ask where you get your pee pads from? I’ve been trying to find some but all the ones I’ve found are so expensive. Thanks ☺️
Link in description!
or try the 99 cent store or dollar store
I get mine at the dollar store and they work pretty well.
I have bought them at the dollar store but we also have a Ollie's its like a little bit of everything store I get the Big Pee Pad cheap by the Hundred for around 10 dollars when on sale

I am glad to see that Lennon is back and doing great. 💕💞💖💜🐇🐰💜💖💞💕😇
im getting a bunny in 5 months and I just need to know is it ok to have just a single rabbit bc my parents won't let me get to 2
Tuysu Asui It’s fine if you can spend lots of time also give them a stuffed animal so they don’t get lonely. I
@@midnightblooper6029 ok thank you!
@@honeypie7535 thank you so much
Tuysu Asui No problem :)
Thumper and LuckyBun Love Lennon! You are wonderful to teach and promote good Bunny Parenting. I can not live Without Bunnies!♡♡♡♡♡
Like love u girl and Lennon x
I just got my rabbit 3 days ago and she’s already litter trained in just 2 days..so i gave her a treat as a reward..she doesn’t poop or pee everywhere already :D
OMG I'm so happy I just got a new bunny today I cried when my mom got me it AHHHHHHHH it's black and white and it's name is Valentine!!😭😭😭🐰🐇🐰🐇🐰🐇🌈🌈🦄🦄🦄💖💖💖💖💖💖🐰💖🐰🐇🐇🐰
It?
Thanks God for making Lennon stronger
The pee pad is not very good for the environment
thats why I also include newspaper and paper grocery bag :)
would a fleece liner work?
I ise the equi e bedding pellets as the wood can be composted. I change my box once a week as its incredibly good at reducing smell. I dont clean when it gets smelly though I clean for hygiene reasons.
Tator Kator that is a good idea. :O
Neither is the air we breath in most places.
YES! bunny mommy! I need this! I am in bed with the flu after caring for my child with the flu all morning! thanks for the video!

This was a much needed video. Thanks for being such a great rabbit care advisor. I hope Lennon feels good.
Thank you sooooo much for linking your common seen products
so happy you posted 😁😀😃lennon 🐰
I love your channel and im happy that lennon is way better good luck
Lennon is so lucky to have you as her mom!
Thx for helping !
Thank you so much for doing this video and for all your tips! Love you Channel from Portugal ❤💫🇵🇹👑
Great video. Glad that Lennon is doing great
I'm new to this channel but i love it. i have already watched most of your videos!!!
Your rabbit's gonna be huge! Is she already quite big or just not there yet?
She is about eleven pounds now. The vet said she'll top out around twenty two pounds. That box of spring mix lasts two days not a week. I need a garden to feed this girl which is fine with me. When we bought hay for the first time the farmer wasn't sure it was a bunny, he'd never seen one like her.
@@ablindgibsongirl omg that's so much bigger than i thought. i know flemish giants are a huge breed but i still can't help being surprised lol.
You are definitely my favorite channel
My rabbit grew up in a cage (I eventually free roamed in my room because I found you) and I turned turned it into a litter box by removing the metal so she thinks its her old home I think. My rabbit is not spayed but since she grew up in the cage, she got used to it. She is also just a super smart rabbit :). I'm thinking on throwing it out and buying an actual litter box because the old cage is an eye sore and the sides are low. I needed some information on how to set one up so thank you!! :DD
Im so glad Lennon is back! ❤
The person I am getting my rabbits from told me to buy cat litter, but I couldnt find it in the store so I got paper litter for rabbits, and I am so happy I did that!!!! Was a lil weirded out by the cat litter
Good to know Lennons recovering fast!
Thank you so much you have helped A LOT with my new bunnies
My litter box set up is similar but I use a extra large storage bin with one side cut low for entry. No lid as my bun is massive (20lbs). I use the puppy pads to line, paper pellets for litter then hay on top. I keep a supply of baby wipes and use those to clean/wipe out the box during cleaning.
I’m getting a bunny soon so this channel really helps me:)
Yah I luv this vid and I see that lennon is enjoying the new apartment.im happy she is okay also😊
SOOO glad Lennon is ok and strong again!🌸
thank you for the video i do most of that with buttons nice to see lennon feeling better :)
Aw so cute and adorable Lennon 🙏👍☺️😁🐇🐰💯💋😘❤💕💖💝🌹💐🌾🥀🌼😍
Loving these videos as I’m setting up for my new rabbit, Nugget
Your channel makes everyone's days better🐰
Lennon is a very talented bunny. I didn't know she could make her own thumbnails.
You're videos are always so informative. I'll be much more prepared when I get my bun bun. Thank you!!!
ahhhhh love you! so glad that lennon's doing okay. by the way, your voice is very nice and relaxing.
LOL I was looking on Amazon for litter boxes and I saw one so I went to look at the reviews and I saw your review and a picture of Lennon in front of it
I love yours and Lennon's videos! So cute and you learn something!
I’m adopting a bunny today!! Thanks for all your videos, I can’t wait for my little guy to come home
You taught me so much about rabbits thank you so much ❤️
YAYYYY Lennon is back! :D
Thank you so much for your videos! These have been so helpful.
That video was really helpful, Lennon is so cute and I'm glad that she's recoverd from Bunnyfest. I would love to see an apartment tour. 🐰🐇😊💜
RLLY HELPFUL AND AWESOME
My buns always appreciate the low front, high back entry boxes. I can't find lids but discreet corners under a wood TV table do very well. Hardwood or Pine pellets are great odor absorbents. My guests could unwittingly sit right next to one and never notice a smell.
I never knew how to clean it or set it up and now I know how to clean it and set up.THANK YOU!!!!😃😁👍🏼🐰🐇🐰🐰🐰
These videos are so incredibly helpful! I'm currently about to foster 2 bonded bunnies and i've been preparing using handbooks and your videos - Thank you so much for all the tips!
