Hi! So I have a boy bunny named benson and he is a Holland lop. I have had him for it 2 months and potty training is going rly bad he is 6months do u have any personal tips?
I added my question in your comments which was probably crazy because there's a lot of comments to go through for you but my question is about where you got your hay bag? it looks super flexible large and easy access to the hay for cinnamon.😁 I have literally button five different feeding bags and ones with bars and a wooden one LOL none of them are easy for my bunny to get hay out of I'm tired of spending money so I ended up just putting some in her tent and her litter box but I'd prefer a bag☺️thank you very much in advance I really enjoy your thorough videos
9:00 I know you were talking to me! 😂 I have a 11.5 week old Lionhead. She took to peeing in the litter box rather quickly, as I too used a play yard with her. However, after 51 days (I got her at 4 weeks old) of having her and with tons of time, patience and treats, she *finally* jumped up on my lap. After 53 days, she purred on my lap as I was petting her. I was so excited… I cried lol BUT now when she jumps on my lap, she’ll pee on me about 50% of the time. It’s so aggravating! (just being honest here) I didn’t realize that about their tails going up, so I’ll definitely keep an eye on her little tail. She also leaves a trail of poops wherever she goes. She is an only pet and we installed new carpet and bought new furniture about a year before we got her.. so another pet isn’t the issue. Her spay date is July 26th and I couldn’t be more excited for it to be over with. Im nervous about it but excited for it. I just want her to stop pottying on me! ☹️I swear I’m not gonna cheat on her!! 🙄 😆 😒
My rabbit is a "rescue" (I adopted him from my moving boss for free). He's about a year old, and after a month of having him he's stopped having ANY accidents. Frankie's so good with his litter box :)
We were having some issues with my 3.5 month old bunny that was popping every where and we didn’t know why bc she was doing so good going in her litter box and this video deff helped ! i didn’t know her hormones would cause this ! i’m deff going to buy a urine order spray thank you!
Ahh yay! My bun is obsessed with going on my bed..let’s just get this straight I don’t really take it as a compliment 🤣 but please make a bunny proofing video! :)
Thank you so much for this video! I have two Lionhead bunnies I just got and they are 5 months old. I don’t want to let them out of their pen because they poop and pee everywhere. I followed your advice about using the urine enzyme spray and staying in top of cleaning up their mess, and it worked! I’ve only been at it for one day, and when I returned home this afternoon instead of finding 100 poop balls inside their pen area, I only found five! So I sprayed those five spots and tossed their poop balls in their potty and I’m hoping that tomorrow will be even better! I really want them to free roam all the time, but I can’t have them urinating all over the carpet everywhere lol! Thank you again! And I also love your video about how to bond with your bunnies! I was trying too hard and going too fast. So I am sitting in their pen as I write this, hand feeding them a snack❤️You are the best!
I'm not a bunny mom yet because where I live right now we are not allow to have animals, but these videos warm my heart so much. I love them 🥺 and once I can have a bunny I'll be ready with all the advice that you and cinnabun have given me. Thank! Ily ♥️
iml literally seeing on every video the worst thing to do is pick up ur bunny and put them in the littrt box for punishment or whatever and i totaly did that with all my dogs so im confused now
I just adopted a 4 month old bunny I named Maisy. She is such a sweet baby. We have two dogs, so I'm not sure that I can let her free roam. I have a feeling that our Maisy will look very similar to your bunnie when she's full grown. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you!
These are such helpful tips! Thank you Morgan for breaking down the key basics for litter training and setup! You hit all the important stuff in such a short time 👏🏼👏🏼
Great video, this is exactly how I trained my bunny. For the clean up I just used equal parts vinegar and water, in a clean spray bottle. Works wonders.
When you clean their urine with a spray even if it’s the spray you used or vinegar did you put that paper towel in the litter box too? Didn’t know if that was okay. First time having a bunny just got him yesterday 😊
@@heatherthomas1788 No I put a clean paper towel dipped in his urine only, inside his litter box. Then cleaned the rest up with the vinegar water mixture.
Just bought a bunny and I’ve been letting him free roam but he typically doesn’t use the bathroom in the house. Maybe here and there but I’ve been using your technique of putting it in his litter box. But yesterday there were no accidents! Yay!
Sooo my niece gave me a bunny for my birthday but I have no information about it’s medical history whatsoever but I kept him despite that. He was very well litter trained but when I let him hop around he started marking the kitchen 🤣 so I put him in my room so he can get used to that space . Then tried free roaming again and he did great for a while until family kept coming over then he started marking the couch 😬 I tried cleaning it with vinegar water. But he still kept going there. So like you said I only let him in that area supervised. I was pretty upset because I had to keep moving him around the house since family was over and I had to surrender my room… but Chip (my bunny) has been handling it like a champ When I am able to take him to the vet I think I will go ahead and talk about neutering him and maybe get an accurate age range… he looks like an adult bunny to me. We are bonding great❤ the tips you gave us in the other video really helped me make him feel at home. Now he is my “battle bunny” (play in words from the military term battle buddy) he hops around with me everywhere 🥰
I adopted my bun from the shelter they said she was about 2 however I think she is about 5… she was really easy to potty train!! I was amazed…. As soon as I set everything up it took about 3days for her to get into the groove of it and she has been amazing ever since
So thankful I found U. I rescued a wild cotton tail bunny 6 days ago. I needed information. Thank u for being explaining everything. Of course I subscribed
I love all my buns I've got 7 of them and yes I have them in my house , believe it or not they all started to use this old bean bag I had thrown in the living room floor so what I did is threw some hay in the middle of it and that's where they all go At first I'd say to myself " it has to smell , I'm just use to the smell because I really didn't smell anything out of the ordinary , so I started to ask my family if they could smell anything and they simply would say " if your asking if it stinks in here " no , I don't smell anything " so that was a relief because I wasn't about to get rid of my bunnies now I am making them a nice big fenced in area outside for the spring and summer so they could run around and jump and play I've got lots of big stuffed animals they love them they jump on them over them and they also love sleeping by them But thanks for sharing this video it's definitely very helpful
hi morgan! i would love a video about the pros and cons of having a single rabbit!! i've had my bun for almost 2 years and shes super happy but i wonder if i'm doing something wrong by not getting her a partner. since CB is also a solo bunny, i would love to hear your thoughts on this!!!
I would recommend fostering bunnies. We originally were only having one until we got a foster bunny. They originally didn't get along, or so we thought, until we saw them licking each other through the baby gate. Now they are so close and love the company.
Thanks for your videos. My wife and kids literally convinced me to buy 3, yes THREE, dwarf bunnies today. It was suppose to be 2 bc one for her parents, but wife got super attached on the ride home, so now its 3. Anyway, I am trying to absorb as much information as possible bc I've never had bunnies. I usually do my research b4 buying but the power of those cute lil bunnies was too much to resist. ❤️ 😍
FINALLY a video talking about bunnies and beds hahahaha I gave up on trying to teach my bun how to "behave" while on my bed so I just don't let her into my room anymore hahaha and I block the couch as well because she was starting to dig on it
Thank you! I'm getting 2 lops on the 18th and I was really nervous about poop being everywhere, I never realised that bunnies can be litter trained, but I guess they can.
For best potty set-up, I recommend Pelletize Bedding which expels a wonderful fresh wood smell that lasts. Plus, extremely cheap at any farm store. The pellets remove the urine smell and absorbs urine. You don't have to change for many days. I also put a pee pad underneath for easy cleaning. And will sprinkle scent crystals after a few days, to remove any smell.
Hi. Great video. One question I have, when you clean up any accidents, is it safe to put the paper towel in the litter box? I know it depends on the rabbit, but won't they nibble on it?
To add: i let my new bunny explore and adjust to the ew home for the first 2 or 3 days and i usually have like a rug/yoga mat/dish rag/towel/or some kind of place matt that might be designes for pets that the bunny can hop and skip and poop and pee lol. Basically just use that claimed material for a destination area to keep their litter pan. Its pretty easy to sweep the poop and hay whe they make a mess on it. And pee is gona have to be washed on some routine-basis. Its makes things easier for bunny to have a sense of territory and safe-zones.
Thank you this video is so helpful im a new bunny owner of a 8wk old mini rex and potty training has been the first thing we've been working on since we brought her home i want her to be able to free roam since the cage we have is abit small for her right now her play pen is in shipping and she'll use that til we can get her a bigger play pen area and not the cage
Thank you so much for this video, I didn't understand why my bunny was potty trained but not on the couch.. Now I know and know what to do, I couldn't find any information on this !
I saw you on tic tok and now found you here. We will be getting our first bunny soon. I’m stealing your hamper idea! And hanging hay feeder. I think the same ones. I saw you then used a wayfair cover. But really love this one. Thanks
Wow! Your tips are awesome..we just got our 2 month old bunny and didnt have any idea how to potty train...until i found your video!. Thank you so mch!
For whoever sees this and has a bunny, for a hay feeder you can get a plastic rubber maid and cut two holes at the bottom for the bunny to eat through, just hand it over your litter box so they're more tempted to go to the bathroom in the litter box
Thank you for all the tips! I have one question my bunny Winston is fully trained to go in his litter box and is usually fantastic at going there so no pee accidents but I do clean up a lot of poops because when he jumps out of the litters box it’s like he poops on his way out! Lol! Any ideas on how to get him to not do this or is this something that’s just common with bunnies? Thank you!
The bunny in this video looks exactly like my little Billy he is know 7 months and is litter trained your videos have been how I managed to successfully litter train mine, he is great and has been littler rained barring the turds occasionally left on the floor of his kennel, mine lives in an xtra large dog kennel but is allowed out to run around the house. he still has to be in because we have a dog, so we have to supervise him and he needs his space as Cody is intense at times, Billy likes his space o feel safe. so his litter training has been easy and much faster then dog house training, my dog took longer to train then the rabbit, when he leaves turds around now its only a few and I clean them up and wipe where it was, so the smell is less and he puts 99% lf it in the litter. he is very clean.
I don't recommend using a hooded litter tray because of poor ventilation and if you have a pair of rabbits, there needs to be more than one exit for every hide or litter tray and a hooded litter tray means if they have a little tiff they can't easily move away from each other.
I have two bunnies because I thought their poops don't smell and it's ok to let them roam around the house. I was wrong! They're pooping and peeing everywhere and it was a mess. Compared with our cats, even without training them, they'll instantly use litter box. I returned them to my place (because my parents locked them in a cage) where I stay because I don't want them in the cage. So I ended up cleaning my place twice or thrice a day. Hahahaha.
I got Beatrice around 6 months. Around 8 months she started marking so I moved a litter box to the area she did it in. I scheduled a vet appointment to get her fixed. Once I put the litter box down, she used it but then started marking the other corner of my carpet 😭. I'm kind of hoping she stops doing this after she's fixed in a couple weeks and doesn't continue this new bad habit.
My bunny was super trained at the potty until we introduced him to a female friend, both are spayed, but he then started pooping outside the litter box and even peeing outside it and she seems to be the only one that uses the toilet like she’s claimed it. I’ll try cleaning the pee and putting it in the litter box but when it’s those big orange puddles it’s not easy.
@@rowanheart8122 I do have two. Still they owe outside it where they eat their hay. Next plan is to get a hay bag to sit where they can eat and do their business at the same time as they like to do.
Let me know if you use any of these tips :)

I literally subsricibed to u yesterday. Ty for all these amazing vids 😊
Im getting my bunny in 2 weeks, so this will be so helpful!! (Btw, Cinnabun is beautiful!!!!!)
This helps so much! Thank you! I would’ve died without this video
I've only just come across your channel, you have some great tips on there, I've subscribed 😀 Your Fab!, cinnabun looks like our Barney 🥰.
Thank you for the help!
By the way, your hair looks so pretty in this video!
Hahahaha.
Love all of your videos! Thank you for all the content!
This video was so helpful for me
Also so important to secure any heavy objects they want to try to jump on/over which could fall on them!
I wish I had found this channel or something like it before my rabbit passed.
These tips are really really helpful
💕💕💕
That’s so cool you can potty train bunnies.
Just came up on your oage! Your amazing!
I got Beatrice around 6 months. Around 8 months she started marking so I moved a litter box to the area she did it in. I scheduled a vet appointment to get her fixed. Once I put the litter box down, she used it but then started marking the other corner of my carpet 😭. I'm kind of hoping she stops doing this after she's fixed in a couple weeks and doesn't continue this new bad habit.
thank you so much im a huge fan of your channel!
Ohh thank you 💕
My male rabbit, Cocoa looks exactly like Cinnabun 😂
My bun is three months old and I got her a few weeks ago this is so helpful😭✋🏻
I decided to get my bunny spayed. Worst decision I ever made. He died as soon as the anesthesia was administered. I’ll never get a bunny fixed again 🥺
I'm so sorry
Maybe the baby was too young?
Unfortunately it probably had nothing to do with anesthesia, their was probably something underlying that was undiagnosed.
I’m so sorry! But I agree it’s so dangerous and the risk is so high!
Also, if the bunny died like that they likely had an underlying serious disease like cardiovascular illness or renal disease
Maybe you should get a second litter box
@@rowanheart8122 I do have two. Still they owe outside it where they eat their hay. Next plan is to get a hay bag to sit where they can eat and do their business at the same time as they like to do.
