One inexpensive thing I like this time of year is a lettuce and tomato sandwich on cheap white bread with mayo. I was lucky enough to find thin sliced provolone cheese for $1.69 for a 12 oz pack, so I add one slice of cheese to the tomato and lettuce sandwich, and it's so good. If you grow your own tomatoes, this meal is almost free. God love you, Rhoda,. I love your meals and I love your commentary. I know we are all grateful.

Meanwhile, there's ALWAYS $$ for the military industrial complex, who are sittin pretty ($$), but at humanity's expense. Not to mention those who died or are suffering. If you get the glue boards add a little peanut butter to the center to draw the critter to it but walmart sells the cage traps and you can put the peanut buterr in there too.

Thank you for sharing your budget friendly ideas, I will purchase sweet potatoes when they go on sale, I then will bake a whole tray of them and cool them and will freeze them for later uses. They reheat great too. I love the discount fresh produce cart to purchase fresh discounted produce. Peppers freeze well and apples and onions. I will wash them and chopped them up for later uses and freeze them. I love my Instant Pot so much. I will make yogurt in my Instant Pot. Just pour in milk and add some already made yogurt about 2 Tbsps.' to milk and press yogurt button. I also love purchasing family pack of boneless chicken breast on sale and pressure cook in my Instant Pot whole family pack. Just add some water and herbs I like to water and then pressure cook and cool and then can freeze cooked chicken into portions for meals later. Love from Ky.
We purchase the metal useable non-kill mouse traps. They are metal boxes with two openings where mice can enter and cannot get back out. We put dog food and shelled peanuts inside metal container than close lid. The top of lid is clear so know when mice are inside box. Easy to empty out mice and they just run right out. We take them to our park and empty them there. The boxes are only $11.00 per box and can be used forever. We have caught up to 4 mice at time and released. So much more budget friendly and don't have to kill mice either just transport away from home.
Essential oil peppermint spray around the perimeter and baseboards. Also lavender. So is the goal of the stock pile to save money or prepare for shortages/ emergency. You don't have to cook your coconut just blend and squeeze thru cheese cloth. It's easier to not spend if you just don't go to the store.Just conversating!

I always make sure I do the McDonalds Survey on purchase receipts. Lots of times I get BOGO/Buy one get one free large sandwich. Great way that two people can eat at better budget price. I take my own drink from home and my hubby and me share one order fries and BOGO Sandwiches and have picnic.
U may be poor but I respect U because you house looks tidy.......I don't expect anybody's home to look like a display home but many people who are poor ( and sometimes rich) live in a hoarding or a filthy home and then say it's because they are poor. Some people are just piggy wiggies. and are too lazy to put trash in the bin.

If you grow your own tomatoes, it’s not only cheap it’s gourmet! Nothing beats homegrown tomatoes. I do spring for better bread

There is NO good advice in her videos. That's not real butter. Butter requires cream. And her biscuits are shit.
