What a surprise! As a vocal major in college I studied this song, sang this song and have listened to it performed by the best. But here I am enjoying it more than ever. Knowing the text is, of course, essential and the sensitivity with which it is played transports me into a wonderful state of muse have over the years lived this song.

I live in Vancouver BC so if you ever play anywhere near where I can come to your performances....it will be one of the highlights of my life. For me it is not more and not less than a valid answer to the suffering we find in our human existence and the sadness that goes along with it. "Valid" because it has the astonishing effect of dissolving very gently all my pain, very much like what happens in prayer and deep meditation. That's why I call Val a prophet. Her "message" touches my soul like the speeches of Buddha or the timeless teachings of forgiveness by Jesus.
