  • 2008 Chevy Malibu strut replacement. Both sides of the car are lifted onto the jackstands. The nuts are loosened. The pins are hammered out. The strut is suspended by one nut ontop. The strut is lifted, the nut is removed, and the strut is gently taken out.

Impressed on how you managed to change that with only one hand

Thank you for the simple explanation of each step.
I got stuck on the upper nut of the Sway Bar link. I had to purchase a T-40 tip to prevent the bolt from turning.
My second problem was removing the rusted plate holding the brake line (located towards driver). I noticed you removed the rusted plate with bolt pushing it towards you.
Will continue tomorrow. Wish me luck.
    Laters.

The sway bar links were the biggest headache while changing my struts in my 2008 Malibu

Liked the limited but clear method of describing each and every action. Nothing left to chance; well detailed.

Thanks for the video, this alone will save me a lot of time and hassle trying to have a shop charge me $1300-$1500 to do.

I am going to gloat for just a second and say I felt a little bad for you fighting with some of those fasteners down here in the south we don’t have rust or corrosion like that

A impact gun and some deep well sockets would have made this job 50% easier. And no torque wrench to torque the nuts to the proper specs?
