Nice job looks pretty easy to do, I'm also hearing a clicking noise when turning to the right and it doesn't make the noise when turning to the left so I was told if it makes noise when turning to right it's usually the cv axle so I hope
Thats definitely what it sounds like. They really show themselves at slow speeds.
Very good video!!
Thank you for the great feedback , much appreciated.
as always ,thanks for sharing, watching as always...
Thank you , I greatly appreciate my loyal viewers.
Thank you
@S33therfan- Great content for someone who follows the GM Cruze Malibu Sonics. In the case of Transmission removal with these 6T40's, what are you doing to address the TCM and make it compatible with the vehicle? What kind of scanner are you using, or is there another trick to "trick" the car into believing the replacement used transmission is acceptable? I don't have access to a fancy Launch or Autel. You have great content, thanks for sharing.. Your channel should be larger than what it is! Give this guy some thumbs UP!!
You are correct , I believe even when swapping the same year there is programming required , by the dealer or someone having a dealer type scanner. My solution in the instance of my Gmc Acadia was swapping the tcm( link below) . It was not hard and I even swapped it over in the vehicle , it worked perfectly. Thank you for the terrific feedback , it is much appreciated.

What fluid did you use to pour back in would this be a good time completely flush the transmission as well?
Excellent Video, THank You
Thank you for watching.

@@s33therfan hi my car is 2.0 diesel model in south korea
unknown clicking noise has been happened in front of the car
i guess cv axle has problem with ball joint
so i replaced cv axle by my self with ur video
im very satisfied with your contents thank you !
Is that the same procedure for 2015 Chevy Cruze??
Yes they are very similar , I believe some cruze share the same 6T40 transmission with minor differences. Thanks for the feedback.
Was this done with a V6 or a 4cylinder?
2.5l 4 cylinder , thanks for watching.
just replaced my cv axle but i still have a whinging sound that increases with speed. can u help?
If the tires are okay , I would be looking for a bad wheel bearing. If you know which wheel , take the tire , caliper off , and try spinning the hub. Tires would be the first suspect. Thanks for the feedback.
@@s33therfan will do thanks so much, it might just be tire noise seeing as its pretty quite
Mine isn’t just “popping in”. Iv tried to rotate it until the clip is at the top, but it refuses to seat all the way in.
I have found using the cv axle itself applying hammering action works the best. Simply grabbing the end of the cv axle and hammering the opposite end into place. You might measure and verify splined end length as well to make sure it matches the old. Hope this helps.
Why did you put the old one back in?
