New CV Axle Shaft from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1AAC...
This video shows you how to install a cv axle shaft on your 2006-2013 Chevrolet Impala. A CV axle has flexible joints. Often, these joints wear out, or seize from contaminants due to the protective boot tearing open. A worn joint is prone to breakage, or other hazards. If your vehicle needs a new CV axle, install a quality TRQ axle that is engineered to your vehicle’s specifications.
This process should be similar on the following vehicles:
    2006 Chevrolet Impala
    2007 Chevrolet Impala
    2008 Chevrolet Impala
    2009 Chevrolet Impala
    2010 Chevrolet Impala
    2011 Chevrolet Impala
    2012 Chevrolet Impala
    2013 Chevrolet Impala

To be clear: Disassembly is normally a lot harder than this! The obvious reason hes having such an easy time is that all of these parts are brand new! If only all jobs were like that Id still have skin on my knuckles!

Great video, but I wanted to add something. The ONLY thing you have to take off is the axle nut, and two strut bolts. That's it. Pull the spindle down (be mindful of the brake line) and get the axle out of the hub. It's a tight fit, but if if compress it in and tweak it, it will come out. From there, put a single bolt (or screw driver) back in the strut just to hold the spindle in place so you are not stressing the brake line.
From there, just tap the axle out as shown and reverse the process. You don't have to remove the tie-rod end or anything. 8 nuts (5 lug, 1 axle, 2, strut) and two bolts (strut) and it's a done deal.
Another tip. Don't worry about 100% seating the CV axle in the trans until you are ready to torque the axle nut. Make sure it's aligned enough you fell the splines engage in the transmission. Use a block of wood and a hammer, dead blow or something soft and give the axle end (where the nut goes) a few taps and it should seat in the trans. The axle should be almost all the way flush with the trans. Give it a few push and pulls and you should feel it locked in place. It'll only move a 1/16th of an inch or so. Done and done.

4:20, should mention to people who are trying to learn what to do...that you have to feed the shaft through the wheel bearing BEFORE connecting the knuckle to the strut. Also, by using the impact you overtorqued the axle nut, which can also cause premature wear to the hub assembly. Your torque wrenched beeped without moving the nut...so you either lucked out and torqued it to exactly the right torque with the impact (unlikely), or your impact set the torque well beyond the max torque spec. Moog specifically states to not use an impact on that nut, for that reason.

After removing the wheel, switch the vehicle from a salt-blasted rust heap to something shiny and clean before proceeding.

I watched this video then I purchased the socket sizes he mentioned. The axle shaft change went well. This is a great video and I am sure people can nitpick it to death. If you are going to change your axle, go by what he says. In the comments some people are saying the torque value he gives for the axle nuts is wrong. The specification he gave is correct. I have the 2004 shop manual for this car that was written and published by GM. The shop manual torque value agrees with what he said.

If your knuckle assembly/cv axle is rusty you will need more than a push with your finger, i broke a 20 ton press trying to break them apart, when it finally gave it came out with a piece of the bearing. Trying removing the axle nut in advance and soaking it with penetrating oil. You may even want to put the nut back on and drive the car a few days to help it loosen (do not drive with a loose nut). Hope this helps

Checking the transmission level, have the car in the most level parking area you can find, I had my car pointing down and the level on the stick was way higher, so check that out.

I must put a disclaimer that they didn't add. From what I have experienced, this looks like the passenger side. I know a person can see that in the beginning, but if a person is new to this, they may be slightly surprised when pulling the driver side axle off and realizing its not splined... Other than that, it is an informative video.

Also blasting down that axle nut with an impact is a good way to melt the bearing

You obviously tightened the axle not too tight with the impact because when you torqued it down it didn't move.
