If I understood this correctly -- it is best then NOT to put IoT devices on the guest network in most cases but might be good to isolate them to say the 2.4G network?
If you have IoT devices that need to talk communicate with each other or other devices on your home network, you will need to have them on your 2.4G network. If they are standalone IoT devices that function independently, I would say either network will do fine. If you are concerned about a standalone device being insecure, it might be a good idea to use the guest network. I hope this helps!
Carry on legend ❤
