    As an Air B&B for short-term stays, this place is fantastic! As a long-term living arrangement, though, it doesn't work. The lack of a bathroom sink, as you mentioned, is going to make this place very inconvenient, but that kitchen is also completely impractical. Sure, if you're on vacation, you can maybe go out and eat at the great restaurants in the area, but for day-to-day living I can't imagine having to eat out every day. There is also very little in the way of storage compared to other tiny houses--this would require massive downsizing. I do like the fact that there is no loft for the bedroom, though.

    • @honesty5964

      I agree to everything you said. The kitchen is a little nook. A person can not live comfortably there.

      Completely agree, you couldn't live here full time, no storage, where would you put pots and pans etc, it's nice to go out and eat but it's not practical every day, unless you can afford to just eat out or order takeaway. I always think places like this are designed by men lol.

    • @Adogslife54
      @Adogslife54 Год назад +1

      I agree 100%. Extensive studies have been done on how people use their houses. All of these studies support the fact that the kitchen is the most used, most consistently occupied room in the house. So, why do kitchens occupy such a small percentage of the total square footage? I never understood that.
      Plus…they say kitchens and baths sell houses. The comments about this house seem to support that.
      Nice vacation home, however!

    Nice design in general, but for me, the lack of a sink in the bathroom is a deal breaker. They could have added a flip-down sink or recessed sink into the wall. But now you either have to turn on the shower or touch the door to get out and use the kitchen sink. I prefer bathroom germs to be separated from kitchen germs.

    • @cloverhighfive
      @cloverhighfive Год назад +15

      Also, people with periods will want a sink in the bathroom. People with a chronic disease with their digestive system will want a sink in the bathroom. What if you party too much and you are sick in the toilet? A sink in the bathroom to brush your teeth asap and wash your hands would be nice. Yep. The no-sink is a deal breaker for me too.

I'm a dog lover and pet owner & I wonder where would you keep your doggie and where to take them out to do their pet business? Also afraid of them jumping into the water and drowning. But for a person who lives a surfer beach type lifestyle this is more for you or for someone in travel mode. The pricetag is probably hefty as well. I've seen so many tiny homes on other channels where with the same dimensions pack so much more into a home that one could actually live in full time. If this home were not on the water, where one is distracted by the beauty of that, I think people would notice its shortcomings much more.

    Id love this, but not paying for it. That said, the home itself is affordable, just not the location. Fortunately my family had docking and dredging rights to have our own dock to tie off our boats onto. But our neighbors who were not waterfront but owned sailboard or outboards had to pay an annual fee for a dock slip at the neighborhood pier. They started at like $6000 a month.....this concept is not one for people looking to save. Maybe on a case by case basis you could negotiate a long term dock slip rental rate, but I can confidently predict it would far exceed the cost of the home in the long run.

    Y'all are using this as a sales model to sell them to folks for full time living or rental investment of some kind.
    These are the ways you missed the mark:
    1a) Kitchen - As a temporary rental...maybe. A renter would have tell folks that the 'Kitchenette' only has a microwave and a cooler size fridge. A potential buyer might not be adjacent to a nice little area with restaurants. Plus some folks NEED to cook their own food, even on vacation.
    1b) Kitchen - as a full time home...not a chance. It's too small, no where to cook, and only a bar size fridge. The vast majority of people will not have the funds to eat out all the time, or even want to for that matter.
    2) Bathroom - No sink. You are expecting folks to either use the toilet with the door open or to use it then touch the door handle. This is a huge, huge, HUGE cleanliness issue. Lose the robes on the wall, seriously. Put in a small rectangular sink, hanging towel ring, a mirror, and a small shelf for, um stuff, plus a small waste bin.
    3) Bedroom - Too small for full time living, it's just too tight. Just an exposed hanging rod for clothes would probably work for a rental, but not as a home. Other than the under the (nice) couch & the almost nonexistent cupboard space in the kitchen, the bedroom is the only place that has ANY storage. For a short term rental, this is fine, as a full time home...ah NO.
    You're trying to sell a pretty view as part of the package, I get it...and so are prospective buyers. The downstairs outside patio space comes at a huge price, it's costing the living space needed inside.
