I truly felt her heart break when she mentioned having to sell the boat, though it was a thought so far i still felt that pain for her, having to give up the boat and that lifestyle, bless her and her husband, they've done a fantastic job fixing and utilising the boat to benefit them. 🙏🏾🧡
What a wonderful adventure she and her husband have been on together. You can tell how much she loves and appreciates her husband, their daughters, and the life they've enjoyed on the boat. It will be a new chapter when they move off the Zenia Sophia, but it should be lovely all the same. God bless them and thanks for sharing this one.
Wow, that is definitely a unique beautiful home! I love the history, and that they put it back to looking more like a tug boat! I also love the artistic touches Oric added! Thanks for a great tour!
This is my favorite of your episodes. It’s a way of living I hadn’t imagined (even though I knew people lived in boats). Loved the boat-home and the enthusiastic owner. And her husband’s artistic work on the boat was wonderful.
Very nice and interesting and also educational. My heart goes out to the homeowner as I could hear the change in her voice when she spoke about aging out of boat life. I hope she and her husband find another unique home that will help with the transition. Best wishes to them.😊❤
I’ve been a livaboard for over 20 years. When I first moved on board I only planned on about 6 months. I learned that it was peaceful , secure and economical. My boat is 44’ with most all home convinces. AC/Heat , full galley , nice size head with separate shower , washer dryer. All in all about 300 square feet. I don’t need any bigger. The boat is in excellent running condition and within moments I can be on my way and use it like any boat. I’m at at a 1000 slip full service marina with security and security gates. We have maybe 25 livaboards at our marina. Lifestyle certainly not for everyone but for those who like it there are a lot of pluses.
Exactly! Not for everyone BUT it's closing a lifestyle not an investment you can turn around and sell for a profit. (And you and I know what BOAT stands for! 😂)
I loved that tour, and Pamela was such a great tour host. It was all so interesting! Her husband Ulrich has such an artistic eye, and the skills to go along with it. Still smiling, here...
It is a beautiful boat. It's so nice how you bragged about your husband's handiwork. You are right, we all go through different life stages. It will be sad but as long as you are together.
What a perfectly beautiful boat!! My goodness, the work that went into this is remarkable. Thank you for sharing! Sending you light, love, peace, joy and abundance always. I love you.
I love that lady and her love for what her and her family has done and lived. First time I’ve ever seen a tiny home tugboat too so very interesting. I knew people lived on boats but never really seen how or what it looked like much. Then to know they kinda tiny homed it also was great and a learning experience too. She seems like such a great person and I hope she can still make life just as great and journey full after moving off of the tugboat🖤✌️
This is my dream and I would love to buy this very boat because I can FEEL the love and the pride in every piece of wood and aluminium. The fact her husband built it for his family and they raised their family just makes my heart clench, unfortunately I am in Australia and I doubt our timings will match up.. but what a beautiful unique boat and family! Thankyou so, so much for sharing your home and life onboard with us.. I hung on everyword. I must say when you mentioned selling, tears were in MY eyes.. if I bought it you'd forever be welcome ❤ Good luck and fare well!!
After all the time they have been living on the water (and I do envy the lifestyle they've had), it will be quite the adjustment living on land. I wish them all the best and a lifetime more of happiness.
😢felt my own heart sink for her when she said she had to sell her home. It’s such a shame, but they are being sensible as one slip on that ladder….(mind she made it look very easy and appears to be extremely agile). What a wonderful voyage they’ve been on, lovely memories and living on land isn’t that bad; your own home and pop your stamp on it. They’ve worked hard for a beautiful home, which someone else will too love and call home too. Thanks for sharing and good luck.
What a life she has led with her husband and children! No matter which path you take in life, when you reach your final act, season or quarter; there may be regrets. I'm sure their daughters missed some things like maybe the prom or playing sports-but look at all that they gained. Our landlocked lives are the same-what have we missed out on and what would WE do differently. Just this one amazing video has made me think tonight-what have I missed out on while chasing the American dream of "success," which means buying things and changing houses every few years to bigger and 'better.' WoW. I don't smoke or drink but this has stirred up some deep questions in me and for me! Thank you Jenna! Thank you to this family for sharing their home. I am in awe of this woman.
When I see someone who's lived on the water I wonder why I never tried it. My aunt had a house boat and it was wonderful. Especially when the bosta would go by with their Christmas lights on in a parade. There was even a group that would dress up in Victorian era clothes and sing carols. It was incredible. I can't help thinking that a houseboat would be a great transition from the tug boat. I was starting to tear up when her voice changed. 😢🖖💕
Understandably you start loving the place you live in. But living on land will be a great experience too. You'll feel good spreading out a little. Hats off .. 30+ years is a long time on a boat
I think you should take her on land. She is your home, the home you raised your beautiful family in. She wouldn't want to be anywhere else but with you. Keep the adventure going.
I feel her pain when she mentioned having to sell their boat and move on land. I understand, she has lived on the water seemingly forever. Best of luck.
Hi Jenna, and also Pamela, that was Interesting and engaging. I wish you well for the future and hope you find an alternative to simply selling the boat! There's a lot of happiness in successfully completing your own work.
Amazing teamwork, stunning craftsmanship! We were also liveaboards and loved the experience. The heart of an adventurer finds new adventures and you will too, when the time comes. Thanks for sharing and for recharging our memories!
Fantastic…love all the unique, creative designs throughout the boat..I stayed in Shell Shock marina in 1977. On a 1940’s , 60’ boat, used in WW!!, patrolling the NW coast. That started my love and fascination of living on a boat. Unfortunately I’m back on land, but dream of returning to that life. It is the best. Coming home at night, walking down the dock with a cacophony of sail rigging creating the best chime ever and most importantly all of the light reflections on the water…thanks…be safe…
Beautiful renovated tugboat. I love the swirl-buffed aluminum that adds a sculptural touch to your boat, as well as the windows, captain's chair, woodwork, and cozy knooks. I used to have a friend who was a live-aboard on her sailboat, the Sputnik, which she moored on J-Dock, which was also moored at Shilshoe Bay Marina. I've enjoyed Golden Gardens, Little Coney, and Ray's Boat House nearby. It's a lovely place to live with the Olympics across the Sound. Thank you for sharing! Jenny
Absolutely love this!!! I would definitely want this over van/tiny homes. The customization of everything is phenomenal and perfect! Also just to say that van/tiny home is good, I personally would rather be on the ocean.
For me personally I wouldn’t be able to live in such a confined space. I wouldn’t say I’m claustrophobic but I just need a little more space than that. But I must say that it’s obvious that they put their heart and soul into that boat. They molded it into how they wanted it and I think if that were something I wanted to do I would probably do it just how they did, by making it how I want it and I wouldn’t want it any other way!
My mom lives about a stones throw away in the condos, all the way to the left. Bottom floor. Next time I visit, I'll be sure to say hello. Such a beautiful vessel. I'd bet that the builder's would be flabbergasted at the history that this boat has endured and cultivated.

Ok, i just loved a tiny house that had actual rooms (even if tiny ones) for the kids. It looked like when the kids lived there, the parents took the hit in space.
i enjoy seeing what you call alternative. im thinking about at some point doing my own. im a Scifi fan and have been thinking, sketching wondering. Geodesic container or building a 200 square footer. I know i want solar everything, a lot of natural light, maybe a greenhouse section. a tall area 12 feet section or a bit more in center. this living on the water looks cool too
I could see from the work they did that their love from their hearts went straight to their hands when they was building on that boat. If you don't put love along with pride into your work then it wont last nor look as good. Thats talking from a man that's over 50 plus years old. I know about that type of stuff.
Loved this one ! i have a co worker that lives on a boat ... i think i would do it , except i have a horse , caballo , 🐎 so that wont work ... otherwise i'm pretty sure i would live on a boat . Atleast for a couple of years to see sea how i like it 😊 thanks for this one , yes i would love to see more live on boats 👍🩵
I personally couldn’t live like this. Too cluttered. Too close, too many small stairs. But it is definitely different. They did do a lot of work. 👍interesting video.
Moving would be very hard and sad to do.. I had my day where I had to sell my home that I built from nothing.. but what made it more special is i bought it from a elderly couple that didn't no me it was just a bare peace of land and they helped me with everything the well and septic and milled are own lumber to give me a home that I can call my own.... I can never thank them enough for everything they did for me... But that one day came that change everything my family health was getting to where I had to sell and go to be there to help them... I drove by couple of times and a lot has changed Amish moved in nothing looks the same but I have my memories....
We need to see more boat houses.
Jens channel is #1!
I use to live in a 2 story houseboat on Biscayne Bay Florida. It was so much fun hurricanes and all.
House Boats you mean :)
@@brian.7966 yes
This is a house boat.. Not a boat house
There is something so endearing about the owner and how much she loves her boat
It was wonderful to hear from someone who had lived in their "tiny house" for decades.
I truly felt her heart break when she mentioned having to sell the boat, though it was a thought so far i still felt that pain for her, having to give up the boat and that lifestyle, bless her and her husband, they've done a fantastic job fixing and utilising the boat to benefit them. 🙏🏾🧡
I like house boats living on a water, what happens when a hurricane hits
Me to!

Every thing is perfect , exept the uncontrolable mold , humedity , intoleriable ,i been there ,no again for me.

one of the most homely/warm/rustic/welcoming/&retro feeling boats ive ever seen. This wonderful characterful boat really has a heart.
Very nice and interesting and also educational. My heart goes out to the homeowner as I could hear the change in her voice when she spoke about aging out of boat life. I hope she and her husband find another unique home that will help with the transition. Best wishes to them.😊❤
I loved the tour & Pamela. What a fascinating life she & her family lead. ♥️💐🌹

Coolest people ever! Their children are so fortunate to have parents that provided them this unique life experience.
What a unique and meaningful home. The next “voyage” will be equally wonderful, and bring different joys.

More floating homes please.
As a little kid I always dreamed about living on a house boat.
I lived on a boat for 4 years! Most fun ever!! This is one of the most beautifully crafted boats I have ever seen! High marks for maintenance!
I watched to the very end and i did not see the cameo. I did enjoy the tour of the boat. She was a very good presenter.
Hello hope all’s well you there?
Live on a 55 foot custom trawler. Love it, been full time livaboard for 3 years. Lake Ontario so winters are fun lol
It is a beautiful boat. It's so nice how you bragged about your husband's handiwork. You are right, we all go through different life stages. It will be sad but as long as you are together.

I love it. It will be very hard for them to ever leave the boat after putting their hearts into it for so many years.

Getting old is hell. But what a life!

Getting older wouldn’t be bad. If it wasn’t for getting old.🤪
Painful blessing
After all the time they have been living on the water (and I do envy the lifestyle they've had), it will be quite the adjustment living on land. I wish them all the best and a lifetime more of happiness.
I love your tug boat home. I would like to live in a boat myself. I tired of apartment living .
Wow, I love this boat! Totally could see myself living like this, with my cats inside.
Absolutely a wonderful life living on this gorgeous boat, wow‼️
