Hotel Review - Westin Downtown St Louis

- Seems I'm on a roll with touring local hotels. A few months ago I got an opportunity to tour the Westin in downtown St Louis, one of the only downtown hotels I haven't gotten to see before. While I wouldn't be shocked to see the property undergo a renovation in the next few years, the room was very well appointed. I was particularly impressed with the luxurious bathroom and plush bed linens.

The constant detail on the back of the door and fire escape instructions were the greatest most useful things I've ever seen in a travel review video
Very Nice Hotel!!! And I LOVE those Westin Heavenly Beds!!! They are some of the best beds I've ever slept on!!!
not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you guys are bored like me atm then you can stream pretty much all the new series on Instaflixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last weeks :)

I laughed when I saw the phone by the toilet. It's one of those things like a TV that doesn't belong in a bathroom. Still, a very nice room.
I wonder how bacteria is on that handset? You know people don't wash their hands mid dump to use the poo fone.

Oh no. I thought a high class place would have the coffee maker in a different room than where people poop. Since the supplies are elsewhere with a. Conveniently placed outlet, I wonder if it’s not supposed to be in the bathroom.
The phone in the bathroom is REQUIRED for 4 diamond from AAA oddly enough.

Nice access to the game or if you get a room up on the upper rooms, you can see the game and not have to buy an extra ticket. The MetroLink stops here. I do wish the hotel had a van for those who don't want to go to this hotel on the MetroLink train.
do people who stay at these hotels even use public transportation?
@@nomadcowatbk Yes they do. When I was ambassador at the airport, there were some guests staying at some hotels near the airport would board vans and head over to the airport to ride the MetroLink. But nowdays, ridership may be sinking because of some childish behavior on the trains Although they do use the bus There is one route that they ride if they are downtown That is the Downtown Trolley which is MetroBus route 99 And that bus goes to the City Museum.

I remember going there for my 10 or 11th birthday with my mom and dad, late at night, I would be too exited to go to the city museum the next day so i would be up later than usual, and my dad would get up with me and we would walk to every corner of that hotel and explore. We went to the ball room, the lobby, the executive rooms, the office rooms, and we went to the gym and it was just amazing. I will love the Westin for the rest of my life.

You have to agree that if he did a Disney hotel review that would be COOL!
He probably can't afford that. When he travels on his own, just like anyone who is young like myself, he needs to stay at the most cost effective and affordable place there is. If he ever made it to Orlando, he'd probably stay at one of the Sketchy Motels on the Northern Section of I-Drive, or stay in Kissimmee or stay at the sketchy Days Inn next to the Orange County jail LOL. That all being said, I'm sure if he got permission, they may let him tour a room at one of the Disney places, but idk. They tend to be pretty strict about things there...
And before you call me out on staying in fancy and expensive places, Yes I do, but that's cause I'm with my mom and she has lots of accounts with hotel companies such as Marriott, Wyndham, Starwood and Hilton, and my mom is paying when she does. In a year or two when I start traveling on my own, I'm gonna be just like Jacob lol.
Very nice... probably WAY above my America's Best Value budget.. lol. Hey, if you're ever looking for something to explore around STL, I have a request. Not even a room tour... just a look around elevators, atrium, pool, etc. at Holiday Inn by the convention ctr. on 9th & Convention Plaza. I only stayed there once but it was MANY years ago... 1984. It was a Radisson back then but will forever be the place I was in the swimming pool with David Lee Roth when I was 13!! Van Halen was playing the Checker Dome. I'm just a bit curious what it looks like these days. Fun anecdote... Security was all over the lobby. Security told us Van Halen was coming. My Mom (I love her dearly) asked "What's a Van Halen?"... D'oh!! Also of interest is the Hampton Inn at the I-44 fwy and Washington. I stayed at that one many times in the Days Inn period... just if you're ever looking for new ideas. All of your material is fantastic!
Do you have a favorite hotel in Downtown St. Louis that's a little easier on the budget? I'll be in the city a couple of times this summer, and would appreciate a recommendation.

$6 water? What happens if you drink it than fill it up with tap water 😂
The next person gets tap water for $6.
If you drink it, they will notice that it was opened, and charge you $6., ha ha. Anyone paying $6 for water would want to check that the cap hasn't been opened by a prior guest, no?

It's typical for a major business hotel like this. In the luxury places, like the Ritz Carlton, it's far worse LOL.
No they have free ones in the front, bigger bottles $6.

While nice this hotel definitely needs a update. Western hotels aren’t great
Westin Hotels are EXCELLENT lol. I've always stayed in Marriott/Starwood properties ever since I remember my first time traveling, and they, especially the Westins never fail to dissapoint!!! Yes, some can be a bit dated and worn but I have no problem with that as long as the rooms are still clean, comfortable and well kept up, and Westin keepa everything up very well and are almost always spotless, and the Heavenly Beds are among some of the BEST Hotel beds I've EVER slept on!!! I don't know why you have the opinion you do, I respect it, but I disagree.

A Westin in St. Louis is not a top tier luxury hotel.
