if you liked Mad father, you should give a shot to Witchs house, IB, MISAO, the crooked man, and Mermaid Swamp! (maybe even OFF) your commentary is WONDERFUL i've seen several let's players do these RPG games and you're incredibly charming + your voices are great and you never like, overtake the seriousness of some scenes with jokes, it's very well balanced
Watching your Mad Father letsplay for the first time after seeing your Misao series, and it's really been a treat. I really do just adore how Aya carries herself after she considers what her life could've been like if she ran away with Robin/Blond Youth. (Fun fact, in ye olden times of the fandom, we called him Dio! He had no official name back then.) The way she seems to fidget with her fingers and walks very briskly back to her room, it so clearly weighs heavily on her... She probably wouldn't have succumbed to following in her father's footsteps. That being said though, a big fan theory at the time was that she doesn't kill in the same way her father did, but instead viewed it as an act of mercy. Curing someone of their pain in a way, even if it meant cutting their time here with us short. If we believe this, we can assume Maria's the one who goes out into town, and spots weak/feeble people for Aya's benefit. I just love how open the ending is for interpretation. This seems to have been canonized for the remake with Aya's acknowledgement of the promise she once made! Just a detail I always loved.
i think it's less that papa turned a new life and was good and more that he realized his own mother's side of the being a murderer child thing. turning Aya into a doll was terrible, but he meant well or better considering the whole situation. also hey you are playing blood! i'm glad you are enjoying the differences!

So I just wanted to say, I was so desperate to see if Aya was like her father, apparently what she does is kill people thru anesthesia to end their suffering. At least according to the wiki. I haven’t finished the video so idk if this topic’s been brought up already 😭
It's still a very insane thing to do either way, that girl in the epilogue of the main story, Jean was just born feeble and had coughing fits. Aya didn't even do a proper checkup before putting her under anaesthesia and killing her. In the first place, euthanasia towards terminally ill patients is still very much debatable. Much less someone who probably just had a weak constitution. And without the patient's consent, or family if the patient is incapable of giving it??? 100% unethical. Whatever her reasons, as Maria said, I do think Aya turned out to be like her father, not as bad but definitely still a murderer
