Fortunately the 12 hour operation was a great success. Unfortunately it was reported today that John may never perform again. How sad, I am heartbroken.

Olivia and John started together as teens in Australia. They remained lifelong friends. This was the Main Event Concerts and John’s wife Jill was just as close to Livvie. They made a few albums together including a Christmas one. This whole concert is on RUclips and it is funny and beautiful. He is our Chameleon and much loved. You have over 50 years of music to choose from.
Yes indeed his voice is epic. The whole of Australia is praying for him right now. I just hope that this cancer hasn't taken his voice from him. Olivia is a great Australian artist, of international fame; and John is a true gentleman and consummate entertainer, although he never lauded international fame he is none the less on of the greatest entertainers of all time.
John Farnham just under went an 11 hour surgery for a tumour from 8am to 7pm on wednesday in a Melbourne hospital and it said to be that hes doing well and just recovering and of course Olivia Newton John is from Melbourne, Australia as well and her family here from her mother and fathers side of the family to her niece who's a former tv presenter Tottie Goldsmith and more family and all of us melburnians are greiving in her home town. Of course Olivia is buried on her ranch in California over where you live in the USA. But R.I.P Liv. And great reaction mate.

Just a FYI. John was admitted to hospital yesterday and operated on for cancer in the mouth. His family has advised today that the surgery was very successful but he will spend some time in hospital.

The kiss with Olivia was probably part of the show but it might have been spontaneous as John loves and is loyal to all his friends. He’s a lovely man. I’m sure many Aussie believers pray for him and his family that one day they’ll find Jesus. His talent is prodigious- and a gift from God and he is so loved here in Australia. Olivia was a great worker for and supporter of those with cancer. She raised $100 million to build a cancer and wellness centre in her home city of Melbourne. She devoted a lot of her life to raising funds for the centre and always visited the patients and staff to lift their spirits and encourage them. She also built a centre in the U.S. She was more to us than a great singer and entertainer, she was a great soul and a hero.

I can't believe you have never seen ONJ singing before and only heard of Grease. She has been on the entertainment front as a singer since the 1960s and has had numerous awards for her singing having produced many albums - yes records, which I don't think you know about either. She started in the game in Melbourne, Victoria around the same time as John. John did a famous song called SADIE THE CLEANING LADY (on youtube) in 1967 when he was 18. Liv and her friend were on a talent contest on TV and won a trip to the UK and that's how she met up with Sir Cliff Richard and went on his show several times and eventually went to the US and became a country western singer with songs like LET ME BE THERE and SAM. Lots of other ones too. She met up with John on several occasions back in Australia and sang with him. Now sadly John has lost part of his jaw in the marathon 12 hour operation to remove cancer from his mouth and will probably never perform again I'd presume. End of an era.

I'm not sure you got the meaning behind this song! It's about being committed to other people but yearning for another. It's about being very close to cheating. You said the one you cant live without is the one you're supposed to be with, declaring that love is more than just an emotion and "This video is on point!" but then in the next breath, you lamented how divorce rates are through the roof lol. I'm not sure you got the meaning behind this song! It's about being committed to other people but yearning for another. It's about being very close to cheating. You said the one you cant live without is the one you're supposed to be with, declaring that love is more than just an emotion and "This video is on point!" but then in the next breath, you lamented how divorce rates are through the roof lol. I quite enjoy angsty love songs, so the drama depicted here is quite enjoyable to me. For someone so caught up in religion though, I'm surprised we didn't get a lecture about committing adultery :D
