Only getting to watch this now - well done getting the grass in. I am Keady area waiting to cut haylage and can't see a few dry days in the forecast - I will have to just wait
Might be dry from Monday til Thursday….. keep an eye on it. Ive haylage to make and I might cut in morning and take chance. Need ground for grazing so need it cut
Gerry, I think the reason the harvester clogged is because the row extended out to the outside of the reel and beyond. I have a 900 and have seen that. It never clogs with overrun on the inside of the reel, but will happen on the outside. It seems harder for the grass to be pulled in from there.
I never looked back ( pardon the pun). When we changed from loading to the right to the left. Instead of turning whole body especially the neck it was a flick of the eyes over left shoulder... Plus my bad back cleared up too..
Nice to see that time of the year again. JF looking in great shape. Can you get a shoot extension for that. Would make it easier to fill High sided trailers.
Great video Gerry , brings back memories of doing our own silage with a pottinger Mex6 and our 3050 . Kept the cobwebs out of her 😂. 3130 on the pit , in latter years replaced with jcb412
I always look forward to your silage videos, seeing the JF in action. Did you replace the older silage trailer with the Smith? The Field Master is a beast of a trailer.
Gerry did you buy that smith fieldmaster grain trailer 😳 fine yoke never mind them oul herron or kane half-pipe bean tins 😅won't be hard get silage rims out smith s in carlow fine big load the smith s bring I use them an braughan trailers contractor I work with down south east grate video 📹
I think smith field master is pick of the trailers out there. Built very strong. Broughan very close behind. Think the northern trailer manufacturers have slipped abit. Although I do like the look of the redrock.
Hey Gerry Great videos as always For the drone footage, does your drone have active track ? This would allow to set up the drone so it follows you Just a thought
Yes it has. It’s a good feature but the problem is it never seems to be in the position you want. And loses the subject all the time. I do use it from time to time. Nothing beats taking control yourself. Tge newer mavic 3 pro it’s probably better. Mines a mavic 2 pro
Dad was out of action this year with a back problem and we got a friend to put it up. He used his own telehandler as he’s used to driving it 👍 Deere will be back for second cut I hope

Hi gerry. U a some man on the jf .all grass going into trailers .
Cracking video. Great setup. Keep up the good work
Gerry you could leave one side of the Smyth high it would help especially with the way the jf shoots in grass

always good feeling when silage in c ur buddy in cavan could do with a green machine 😂😂😂
Both Adrian and Phil having Massey problems…. If they Got a Deere they wouldn’t know them selves. 👍😂
Great video, Gerry. Take it you'll be going canny with the big tractor 🚜 to protect the chopper?
Yea don’t push it. I turn off the boost and don’t let it up the power bar too hard. If did it bust the harvester
Super video
Good what have 10 /11 ton to the acre nice crop gerry
Nice out fit. You keep it well maintained. How s your dad getting on?

What speed were you picking the silage at
Is the Smyth trailer yer own Gerry 🤔
Take it u never have back filled with JF like you used to do with the old double chop harvester
Just wondering how come there was a jcb on de pit instead of the John Deere
Dad was out of action this year with a back problem and we got a friend to put it up. He used his own telehandler as he’s used to driving it 👍 Deere will be back for second cut I hope
@@gerry6420 o right I just assumed u had de same person on de pit as always they just didn't like the John Deere
Were is the 3650?. good video.
She wasn’t on silage duty this year. Maybe in second cut. It’ll be mowing hay and tedding soon as weather right. You’ll see plenty of it 💪🏻
@@gerry6420 nice to see the 3650 working, are you getting any other old Deere's in the future?.
👍👍👍.
👍
😄🚜👍
🇵🇱 i like a john deere
Why didn’t you buy silage extensions for the smyth trailer
did you not listen too the video ? they have them but they are getting modified as where too high
@@joshoweragriphotography154 come off your high horse dumbfuck
How many acres do you cut Gerry?
Only 29 acres this year. Have maize silage so won’t need as much grass silage
👍👍💪💪🇮🇪🇮🇪🙏🙏
Time for a new chopper next season..than
No she do a while still. Going well
Would you ever see yourself using a wagon instead of the JF?
Why do all you Irish farmers fill at the wrong side ?
why do you brit farmers kill markets with cheap low quality products?
@@jamesmccabe1702 I wasn’t being sarcastic you’re prick
