Labour ministry needs to act .
They must amend whereever required /implement labour laws to stop people working beyond permissible number hours each day .
There must be 10 to 5 jobs when working in India . If people are made to work between 5PM to 10AM it must be treated as Night shifts and must mean double salary and a mandatory layoff each time they are made to work at these odd hours . The worst part is in several MNCs they have additional scheduling of meetings at odd hours to suit the time of clients and bosses , overseas .

First of all its necessary to remove so called agile type methodology from the software industry which adds unnecessary daily pressure to employees. I have seen degradation in the software developed and more and more repaires are required to fix those changes. I had to left the industry only because of daily pressure.

They say you are working for 14 hours a day because you are not able to do it in 8 hours. Whoever is working more than 9 hours please start collecting evidence now, voice recording of managers and login time of laptop. Record all things in you diary. In case of you die, your parents can fight. Boycotting of these mnc can give them understand that Indians are not cheap labour.

This won't work, make 360 degree feedback mandatory and put the key points as a part of feedback. Some work in multiple teams and multiple hrs of meetings with hardly any time left for work which is compensated by working more making the life of employees miserable. Good working employees are always 40 percent and rest as just making fools around taking credits of others.

Pure opportunistic move. Why did they have to announce it publicly now? They just want to take the benefit of news nd be part of good hashtag story. It's all business at the end of the day. No saints here. And for god's sake they should think of renaming 'chief happiness officer' ! Naming it that itself is a joke. It's not happiness, it more complex than that. Making a joke out of the issue. Just opportunistic businesses making a mark in the internet

HR is under the control of the partners in all the Big4. Whatever you voice out to HR will reach the partner next second. There is no such thing called 'Confidential' about your concerns or feedback. Every feedback reached the superior. Such toxic people act like they own the firm. Never join Big4 is what i would say

You have to understand how consulting firms make money , when the cost of sourcing work is higher than the cost of doing work. So work per employee is an important metric here , if you as an employee of a consulting firm want less work the employee count has to increase hence the salary has to decrease. I think this is a trade off that most of the consultants will not do. You have to understand that everything is not for everyone and you have to choose your battles wisely otherwise natural selection will wipe you out.

Lol probe. Just implement a strict policy of mandatory office closing at 7 30 pm , that way if anyone has to work past 5, it won't extend to 2.5 hrs overtime.
