We were so blessed with his music. We lost him way too soon 😢
Facts
Biggest fact ever. He was just friggin starting remember my mom crying well she was a big early fan
Way too soon
That’s right, king of country right there
His voice was amazing. A voice meant for singing country. R.I.P, Mr. Whitley.
And now you know why the lines “You weren't afraid to face the devil; You were no stranger to the rain” are in Vince Gill’s song Go Rest High On That Mountain.
IMO Keith Whitley was one of the best country singers ever.
RIP Keith. BTW, country artist Vince Gill wrote a song called Go Rest High On That Mountain and in the first part of the song he paid tribute to Keith and this song in particular. The second part of the song was about Gill's brother's passing. It is an amazingly beautiful song and voices don't come any better than Vince Gill's. The original recording is best version, IMO.
One of the greatest voices in country music.
Can you imagine all the amazing music that we missed out on by losing Keith? He was well on his way to being bigger than anyone else in the industry, and he would have been. Definitely right up at the top of my list of all time favorites. RIP KW
I was born In Puerto Rico and Keith Whitley is the man. Joe diffie also. RIP to both.
This song has lot of deep meaning to me, love it. Bless u all😀
He was such a talented blessing. What a loss. 😢
Another Kentucky legend.
One of the most, if not the most purest voice in country music. Keith battled his demons till the end. Him and Lori Morgan, who's is a great singer also were married. She stood with him No Matter What. Please check out their duo Till a Tear Becomes A Rose. You won't regret it.
Keith died to young eight songs on his album he was about to release went number one on the Country music charts after his death. Keith died of alcohol poisoning had he lived I believe he would led have been a legend.
RIP one of the greatest if not the greatest the voice he had range he had.
Nicely done, you two! Some say Keith Whitley had the best male voice in country music... ever. I tend to agree. Smooth, great control, pure... really a pleasure to listen to. We lost him way too soon.
The man with a golden voice!
Wife here..My FAVORITE song from Mr.Whitley!!.(RIP)..., "sacrificed by brothers.., crucified by lovers.."What a phenomenal line.!!., "When can I have some Sunshine?.."Unfortunately I know this feeling all to well..Great Reaction as Always!!
Keith Whitney had the Best country voice there ever was.
A tremendous talent who left us much, much too soon. It's sad when you think of what might've been in store for him. RIP, Keith. 😥
"Miami, My Amy", "Brother Jukebox", "Ten Feet Away", "Homecoming '63", "Till A Tear Becomes A Rose", and "Tell Lorrie I Love Her", are awesome songs by Keith Whitley
Keith was a master guitarist, mandolin player and songwriter. He started playing professionally as a child. Unfortunately he also had a serious problem with alcohol, which finally took his life at a very young age. Every song on his greatest hits album is phenomenal, actually all his songs are great. RIP.
"Tell Lori i Love her" - was recorded but set on the back burner , it was released after his death - but a message to his Wife Lori Keith Whitley
Kieth Whitley was writing about his own battles with Alcohol. He had just got out of rehab... relapsed and lost his life to his addiction.
Gone Too Soon. Keith's songs just hit the heart, and are so relatable. Was married to Country Star Lorrie Morgan who's still touring today.
Such a great talent gone too soon. He has a great song with wife Lorrie Morgan called Til a Tear Becomes a Rose. Another good one is Brotherly Love
The most underrated country singer of all time, book it
Great reaction, and to me that's what makes a great country song, when you can relate to it, either in your life, or someone you knows life, or even but for the grace of God it could have been your life.
This is a theme song for a lot of people. Peace, Love!!
My favorite Whitley song. Thanks.
Best voice in country music
A LEGEND
RIP Keith.
Keep your heads up people, there will be a brighter tomorrow
What a voice! He had a cry in his voice, so beautiful! My favorite Keith Whitley song. REST IN PEACE❤
Being from Ky, we are especially fond of Keith Whitleys music. I sang Miami my Amy for my wife at our wedding. He was incredible to see live
BJ, I know what you're saying. We all have hard times in life. Ups and downs as you say. I'm sorry Asia wasn't understanding what you were talking about. I guess men relate to that kind of thing a little more than women. The ladies are more just about love and romance and being positive. But we men do spend a lot of time alone inside our own minds soul searching and trying to work things out about our life. The ladies should really just try to understand and let us acknowledge that about ourselves instead of shooting us down and demeaning how we feel by saying things like, "Oh, but, you don't have a bad life, What are you complaining about?". That's not the point. The point is, we all have struggles within ourselves regardless of what kind of life we lead. And we push on through. This is a great song! And Keith Whitley was at the top pf his career when he recorded this and had a great life going, but at the same time, he definitely had demons he was dealing with. And one of those demons eventually killed him. Alcoholism. I saw Keith live in Concert a little less than a month before he died.
"Ride the wind, and dance the hurricane."😮
Been waiting for you guys to do this one..... Perfect.
U make it sound like you are living in the rain. That was funny as hell
You guys hit on one of the best. Thank you ❤
I think this might be my favorite song of his. Great voice as always, something simple and beautiful to the lyrics and wholly identifiable in meaning.
Thanks for listening
such an underrated country star, the short career was filled with such lasting music. Thanks for keeping the music alive!
I’ve been waiting for you guys to do this one. His best IMO.
Love Keith. R.I.P
Keith did hav a troubled life and it was short, we were just blessed 2 receive, and be able 2 steel hear his GR8 talent
You guys are awesome I love your reactions and your truthfulness.
My mother showed me Keith, loved him ever since although his music makes me emotional his voice is one of a kind.
I met Keith decades ago. Such a soft spoken gentleman with command of the stage. A sad untimely death.
Great reaction.
BJ can relate.
Ron Hellard and Sonny Curtis wrote this song back in the 80’s, and it was sat on the shelf for years until Keith got a hold of it.
The first time Keith heard the song, he said, “Somebody’s been reading my mail.”
There's always light at the end of the tunnel. But just remember sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel is the train lol.
He'll yea this why I love yall 😃💪🤝🙏✌
I'd love to hear you guys do some Powerwolf. They are a metal band but their singer is amazing. Dancing with the dead, army of the night, sanctified with dynamite, we drink your blood, demons are a girl's best friend, are all great songs. I'd love to hear Asia's opinion of the singing. I think she'd really appreciate it. The singer Attila is classically trained in opera. I love you guys so much😁❤
RIP Keith!
Love that you two reacted to this gifted musician.
Sadly, alcohol got him at 34 years young. He had some great hits & the world missed a great talent. 'Don't close your eyes' & 'When you say nothing at all' are my favorites. He was married to another country singer when he passed. Lottie Morgan & she is one of my favs. Check out her sexy song 'Something in red'. Cool song.
Where we say the names of Straight, Brooks and Gill. If he had lived we would be saying Keith Whitley.
BJ..... bro .........Dog you stepped in it, man I thought you was going to slip in it too.. Lmao..!😅😂😅
I just love Keith Whitley music and voice
Miami, My Ami should be the next Keith Whitley song
Can y'all check out "Hard Livin'" by him? It's a faster and more fun song.
"No Stranger to the Rain" is a great one and I'm glad that y'all checked it out.
Since y’all seem to like Keith Whitley y’all should hear his song “Nobody in his right mind would have left her”. It’s the original version of George Straits remix which somehow is just as good which rarely happens with a remix sounding just as good or if not better then the original. Most artist mess it up not worth listening to.. but u should hear Keith’s version before George’s version to appreciate the difference both made but to know how it originally sounded before being changed
This is such a good song😊
BJ living in the rain and Asia’s like; what?
😂
If you get a chance you should listen to his then wife Lorrie Morgan, she had a beautiful voice as well. And her song Dear Me, was a tribute to her losing Keith.
RIP a voice gone to soon.
This is probably my favorite country song.
Like to introduce you to some Australian music. Australia is more than Olivia Newton John and the Beegees. Suggestion - John Farnham & Jimmy Barnes "When something is wrong" or INXS & Jimmy Barnes " Good Times". 🇦🇺
DJ thinks very deeply.
Smooth as butter. He could sing high, too, he sang tenor with a bluegrass band in his early days, incredible range. So much wasted talent. Really tragic.
On the day he died, a friend stopped by around 9:00 for coffee and he was fine, but dead of alcohol poisoning by 10:00 with a .47 BAC level. Very strange and sad.
Asia and BJ you guys must check out Keith Whitley's son Jesse Keith Whitley.....oh my goodness he looks and sounds just like his daddy....he even sings some of his dads songs
I feel ya man
Love you BJ,😳 talkin real life!
I think BJ is still talking about the cornbread😁
Great reaction!
Thank you!! 😁
but look at you know BJ.... You have a Beautiful Lady... YOU lucky guy....
I thought we were going to pick up from this weekend yesterday I was looking forward to my song
Well, Sharon we had a family emergency so it had to be canceled. You can watch all about it here. ruclips.net/video/iLv5TdVjoig/видео.html
Y’all would love the vibe of: Miami, My Amy.
Keith could sing what he wanted. He was just country. I like to think he's the country Whitney in a very limited sense. He also drank himself to death before 35.
BJ, Asia is testing you LOL "Why you act like everyday is rain?" She is trying to see if she is your rain. LOL Asia, I am 100% certain that you are his sunshiny days.
(Eddie Rabbit)-step by step
♥️
Omg!!! This hit hard
In the thumbnail he looks like Hugh jackman
I wonder do you think of me , I never go around mirrors, Somebody’s doing me right
I'll beg, steal or borrow a little sunshine
He left us way too soon. 😥
Can you do Hardy Wait in the truck
React to welcome to my house by Nu Breed
I like how you, Asia stare at the camera when you don't fully agree with BJ's assesment.
Please react to GUMBO and Superstar!
This song is about those days, weeks, and months that feel like you are living in Hell. We all have them.
Keith Whitley was a troubled soul who turned to alcohol to numb himself..that unfortunately was his undoing..like so many others
React to banco bizmol "fakes and island talk" pleaseeeeeeeee🤞
If you gonna check out Keith Whitley you need to check out a couple of Lorrie Morgan (his ex-wife's) hits.
She's his widow not ex wife they were still married when he died
PLEASE GO DIMASH REACTION
This era of country music is probably my favorite genre. Country music today is disgusting noise pollution. God I love Keith Whitley. You guys need to check out some George Strait. George Strait is the undisputed king of country music. Nobody has more number 1's than George Strait.
Kentucky wins again!!!
Alcohol kills he tell u if he was here..........
