Thank you for actually GETTING the story. Not every reactor does - because they're not paying enough attention. Austin, The Baby, God's Country, Honey Bee, and Come Back as a Country Boy are all awesome songs and video's that you should check out. Blake has an awesome rabbit hole to go down. Btw - Blake did this in 2002. Austin was his first single - and still my favourite.
Hound dogs are vastly underrated as pets, but they are smart, short haired, strong, loyal, and probably the softest to touch dogs there are. Not to mention, their sense of smell is considered as expert witness in court. Shout out to all the lives they have saved finding missing people, especially children.
My neighbor had a hound dog named Poppy. When I had a newborn and was waking her up to feed every 3 hours, the hound dog Nextdoor could hear the alarm going off inside mv house (we had no windows open) and he would alert me almost as loud as my alarm would. 🤣 We also always knew when an emergency vehicle was close by, about a minute before we could hear it with our own ears. Poppy would start doing a certain howl and a minute or two later an ambulance, fire truck, or cop car with their sirens on would fly by. Very impressive dogs!
Love it! But now you gotta see Blake having fun in "Boys Round Here" (Official video). And then "God's Country" to bring on the goosebumps (Official video for both songs).💙☮
LOL my granddaughter LOVED Boys Round Here… she was about 5 years old and would go around singing this all the time. When she got to to the “chew tobacco spit” part we would all be just dying! 🤣🤣
I didn't discover this until a couple of years ago, but this is actually a cover of George Jones. I love some of Blake's hits from his early career, like "Goodbye Time".. But I also discovered that that song was a cover of Conway Twitty. "The Baby" and "Austin" are also great hits from his early career. I much prefer his songs from his early career over his more recent songs.
I used to live in Blake’s hometown. My son used to work at a chicken place in town and one night when it was late he and Miranda came through the drive thru! Austin is another good one by Blake. One of my son’s names is Austin so we used to sing it to him.
Wife here...It's soooo cool U 2 got the story..Of coarse.,you 2 would...It's a great story!!..He does look very young..It was his first hit..Great Reaction!!!
Fun fact Blake Shelton was not the first one to sing this, the song was originally recorded by George Jones on his 1990 album You Oughta Be Here with Me and covered by Kenny Rogers on his 1993 album If Only My Heart Had a Voice. Rogers' version was released as a single in August 1993. It was later recorded by Blake Shelton, and his version of the song was released in March 2002 as the third and final single from his self-titled debut album
I love this version! George Jones did a version I found years ago that a lot of people don’t know exists. I liked George‘a version better but I don’t know if it’s because I heard it first. Regardless, thank you!
Love George Jones and saw him in one of his very last concerts and I'll always love his version but you're right most people don't even know it exists and automatically give Blake the credit when he just covered it. I do love Blake's version as well though!
Blake was a baby when he made this one. Another great early tune is 'Home'. Check out "God's Country' which is much newer & he has some great duets with his wife Gwen Stefani. 'Happy anywhere' is a fu one & 'Nobody but you ' is a love song.
What a fun video, love Blake's 90s anyway...Thank you for spreading some love with the hearts, makes us feel good, that you actually read the comments. ☮
When this album came out my uncle got him to play our fair here in Southeast Texas and we got to go on his bus and say hi (my uncle was fair president) i got him to sign my fair badge and man I wished I had kept it...cause now he's a huge star...
The song was originally recorded by George Jones in 1990. Kenny Rogers covered the song 1993. Blake Shelton's version of the song was released in 2002. Shelton would have been around 35.
Wonderful reactions. The very first time I heard this It was an instant favorite and I got the story before the end of the song. I have always enjoyed a good story song - regardless of music style.
This song is what got me hooked to you tube!! I watched SHAQ back years ago when he reacted to everything and I was hooked forever!! I love to watch Asia’s expressions!! And bj just bobbin’ hahaha ❤️Tennessee
I never knew who Blake Shelton was until I saw him on the voice and hes so funny I had to check Him out. The 1st song I heard was Austin which is a beautiful Song and he looks so young and handsome. You have to check out his first time meeting his ex wife miranda lambert and him singing together on a song called you're the reason god made oklahoma and you can see the chemistry from the beginning. I always love them as a couple and i'm not sure what happened but check out some of his songs❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loved your reaction! I have been a sub for a short while but forgot to turn on the notification bell. DUH! So many great country artists and songs with a rich history of storytelling! To understand country music history you need to go back to the early days and work your way up to current!
Great video with Blake and Trace Atkins called “Hillbilly Bone”. ruclips.net/video/OGoiiwxTWeE/видео.html They are both huge guys, and when they sing together, such fun. You can tell they had a good time making the video too. Not a huge country fan but the right singer doing the right song, well there’s alway a chance for magic.
Tom T Hall … The Year Clayton Delaney died another great storytelling songwriter singer kind of goes along with the Curtis Lowe song you played last week
Lol! Gotta love Blake & Ole Red! Can't think of the name of it, but there's another song with a good story like this by Johnny Cash about a Cadillac. You would love this story & song too. Maybe somebody reading this can tell you the name of the song I'm trying to think of. Always enjoy you guys reactions. Thank you for what you do Asia & BJ.
Hey Asia and BJ, watch y'all's back. They're canceling all my favorite people and you guys are in the category of my favorite so don't copyright infringe nothing you don't already know but I love you all
Good reaction yall. Not a fan of country music but thos wasn't that bad. Can't lie... Please react Roy Buchanan! Either his, Roy Blues or his version of Hey Joe. Y'all really missing out, I promise! Best underrated guitarist ever!
I’m from the South, when my youngest son was 15 he and his friends were picked up by the law, for throwing water balloons during Homecoming week, which is a tradition here. When we got to the jail to pick him up, we could hear him and his friends all 16 of them back in their cell singing this song. The Sherriff was dying laughing but the officer who arrested them did not find it funny. Of course he got a chewing out from me when they released him and I tried to hold it together. But later that night I laughed til I cried.
Thank you for actually GETTING the story. Not every reactor does - because they're not paying enough attention. Dont forget -- KISS MY COUNTRY ASS
Ol' Reds good but Austin is an amazing song.
@@nomadhakunamatata5793 I believe that was the song that saved his career, if I'm not mistaken.
Ole Red is the name of his bar. His bar was the place to be over the weekend during the CMA Fest. There was always a line to get in.
One of the all-time best story songs.
Ol' Red recorded originally by George Jones on the album You Outta be Here With Me 1990. Released by Kenny Rogers 1993. Redone by Blake Shelton.
Hound dogs are vastly underrated as pets, but they are smart, short haired, strong, loyal, and probably the softest to touch dogs there are. 100%!

My all time favorite song by Blake is The Baby!! One of his first BIG hits!! AMAZING!!
Love it! But now you gotta see Blake having fun in "Boys Round Here" (Official video). And then "God's Country" to bring on the goosebumps (Official video for both songs).💙☮
I second both of these…. ‘Boys’ is fun…. ‘God’s Country’ is spiritual in a Blake Shelton kinda way…
LOL my granddaughter LOVED Boys Round Here… she was about 5 years old and would go around singing this all the time. When she got to to the “chew tobacco spit” part we would all be just dying! 🤣🤣
Yes please react to these two songs. 🥰
Love both those songs!
Agree 100% with her!
Good ole country song .. can't go wrong
One of the best stories ever told
I didn't discover this until a couple of years ago, but this is actually a cover of George Jones.

"The Baby" and "Austin" are also great hits from his early career. I much prefer his songs from his early career over his more recent songs.
George Jones version is way better. Golden voice.
I’m a huge fan of Blake’s music and love him on The Voice - so funny! Ole Red is one of my favorite.
I used to live in Blake’s hometown. My son used to work at a chicken place in town and one night when it was late he and Miranda came through the drive thru! Austin is another good one by Blake. One of my son’s names is Austin so we used to sing it to him.

Blake and Christina have one called Just a Fool.
One of my favorites of Blake's!
Nice job y'all, former nascar driver Elliott Sadler played his cousin in video
I love this version! George Jones did a version I found years ago that a lot of people don’t know exists. I liked George‘a version better but I don’t know if it’s because I heard it first. Regardless, thank you!
Yeah I like George's also. Blake took it mainstream so kudos to him for that.
Love George Jones and saw him in one of his very last concerts and I'll always love his version but you're right most people don't even know it exists and automatically give Blake the credit when he just covered it. I do love Blake's version as well though!

Old red went looking for his girl .😂😂😂😂😂😂
When this album came out my uncle got him to play our fair here in Southeast Texas and we got to go on his bus and say hi (my uncle was fair president) i got him to sign my fair badge and man I wished I had kept it...cause now he's a huge star...
I adore this song, glad you liked it too
I dearly love that song ! 🎵
The song was originally recorded by George Jones in 1990. Kenny Rogers covered the song 1993. Blake Shelton's version of the song was released in 2002. Shelton would have been around 35.
Don't make poor Blake any older than he is. In 2002 he was 26.
One of my all time favorites
Wonderful reactions. The very first time I heard this It was an instant favorite and I got the story before the end of the song. I have always enjoyed a good story song - regardless of music style.
I’ve heard the song many times but I’ve never seen the video, thanks, it also sounds like Miranda is singing backing vocals
This song is what got me hooked to you tube!! I watched SHAQ back years ago when he reacted to everything and I was hooked forever!! I love to watch Asia’s expressions!! And bj just bobbin’ hahaha ❤️Tennessee

Good reaction. A couple of other early Blake Shelton songs that are worth a reaction are "Austin" and "Cotton Pickin' Time"
You must see the video to Blake’s “Some Beach”.

From Blake Shelton
Great video with Blake and Trace Atkins called “Hillbilly Bone”. ruclips.net/video/OGoiiwxTWeE/видео.html They are both huge guys, and when they sing together, such fun. You can tell they had a good time making the video too. Not a huge country fan but the right singer doing the right song, well there’s alway a chance for magic.

Blake Shelton - She's Got A Way With Words (Official Music Video)
Lol! Gotta love Blake & Ole Red! Can't think of the name of it, but there's another song with a good story like this by Johnny Cash about a Cadillac. You would love this story & song too. You gotta check out Blake Shelton's "Austin". It was his 1st big song and it was great.

Blake has many many hits but Gods Country is a must!!!
If you haven’t listen to Gods Country by Blake it’s a must
Blake is one of the best storytellers in music today.
disagree. Chris Knight is a storyteller..and he writes all of his own stuff and sells it to the Nashville hacks.
Good reaction yall. Not a fan of country music but thos wasn't that bad. Can't lie... Please react Roy Buchanan! Either his, Roy Blues or his version of Hey Joe. Y'all really missing out, I promise! Best underrated guitarist ever!
Please check out 2 songs from Brad Paisley 1. Ticks 2. Little Moments . Love from Denmark
Hounds Drool and RULE!
This is my absolute favorite of ALL his songs. I wish he'd go back to this bluesy country instead of pop country.
Great reaction! Maybe one day you could react to Blake Shelton singing “Goodbye Time,” the official video? Pretty Please… 🙏😊
Enjoyed it, but one tiny correction.....he didn't say "it cost me 99" he said "it cost me IN '99" as in 1999.
I’m from the South, when my youngest son was 15 he and his friends were picked up by the law, for throwing water balloons during Homecoming week, which is a tradition here. When we got to the jail to pick him up, we could hear him and his friends all 16 of them back in their cell singing this song. But later that night I laughed til I cried.
My son is now a homicide investigator, the Sherriff has now retired but he still calls my son Ole Red
Y’all should react to some Montgomery gentry like speed and this is my town
My "brother" has some pretty good songs 🤣
You should check out his version of She Talks To Angels
Blake has lots of good songs you should do more
The more I drink is a great ode to drinking.
Again another long ago request of mine thanks for finally playing it . 🫤
Thanks to you too John ! 🍻
Have a Blessed Day y’all 😎
If he was such pals with Ol Red he should have taken him on his evening walk and just kept on going!
Y’all need to watch Honey Bee by Blake Shelton . Also Some beach. It’s funny . Blake has great sense of humor in them.
