- In this video im using the windows 11 creation tool to make an installer and during setup i dont want to use a microsoft account
I do have another method using a USB Ethernet Adapter to bypass the online account

For anyone who's on a desktop like me, at the point where he turns on airplane mode, just turn off your wifi router or whatever internet you're connected to, worked for me.
great tip, if its a laptop and you cannot turn off the modem, just walk away out of the building with your laptop till after range
Another way to do it is to type a as email address and a as password, doesn't have to be a but it is as good as anything that will cause an error message, which after you press okay switches to making an offline account

I had issue with switching on the Flight Mode on my laptop, so what I did was, tethered from my mobile, then switched of the tethering, and that solved the issue. Great video! Thanks mate!

if you are downloading from the microsoft store you will still need an account
We just brought up a new Dell laptop with Windows 11. We didn't get any choice about backing up to OneDrive, which I absolutely don't want. I had the next button and the back button and nothing else. I eventually used the next button and it took me into the next topic. I tried to use the back button to go back to the OneDrive option, not that I could have made any different choice, and the back button wouldn't work any more. How do I stop backing up my files to the cloud? That's the last thing I want.

This video isn't bad! I have two gaming laptops, one is running Windows 10 Home, the other is Windows 10 Pro.
I also have an 6 (yes, 6) year old Acer desktop that is running Windows 10 Home as well. I'm planning to use that desktop as a "test tube" for the Windows 11 installation. At the same time, I wanted to use a local account. What are your suggestions?
Try one machine at a time
I would use the windows 11 upgrade assistant to upgrade the older Acer (will use about 5-10gb of internet data)
If you can do a fresh install of Windows 11 I usually go that path
Unfortunately, it didn't work for me on the latest Windows 11 version 😭 😭.

I figured this out by accident when I moved my laptop to another house while setting it up. I realized that since I was no longer connected to wifi, it let me skip the account sign in! Microsoft why must you fight us

This not worked for me since I can't turn off/on airplane mode with the FN. Last update Windows ISO block that function on keyboard.
The alternative iv used is work away from the wireless network, or turn off the modem

You glossed over the creation/use of the USB stick, you called it Windows 10 in the video but it was labeled Windows 11. More information about this would be very helpful

Actually, this is a good question. I have a similar situation. A new pc with win11 installed with an ISO o on a usb. But it needs it's own legit activation code. I want to pay for the code but keep my account local

bruh i dont have an airplane mode on the dell inspiron 15 3000. what do i do?
one method is turn off you router, or move out the the building and away from the wifi network (iv done that a couple of times myself)

Good idea !
Here's a better way to do it lol. Connect your phone and share mobile data just to skip that first step and then turn it off immediately. Windows will automatically skip the account login step.
That is another useful method :)

@@rickstechrepairs i thnik is related to which installation media version is used i donwloaded the latest one today believe 11H2. The create account, airplane mode on, back steps no longer work. When clicking back it gives the "Oops you don't have network" message and takes you back to connect to a network each time. I managed to bypass it by proceding to create an account, on that page turning on airplane mode on not creating an account and than skipping the account creation.
here is another another method that has worked for me but needs a USB Ethernet adapter, or using an ethernet port on the machine
