Absolutely magnificent. I am a lifelong (age 63) American musician, and I have heard many American "youth orchestras" that are very good, indeed. But I have NEVER heard a youth orchestra of this caliber in my life. And the conductor is a genius!

The distinct rallentando at the end is a wise choice. Bravo to this beautiful orchestra!

The thundering organ decimates everything and like a god commands its angels orchestra to follow its lead. What a composition and what a brilliant performance!

Maravilloso concierto.

Wow, I've just checked out a number of different videos of this on RUclips and this has to be by far the most exciting... and you don't ever feel like the organ is too loud or the orchestra is too loud... everything is loud at the end but with a great balance... bravo!

I cannot believe that there were empty seats at this rendition. These young folk may not be of the stuffy tweed exactitude, but such brio, verve, passion. The freedom that the maestro gives these kids in the finale of the fourth movement makes me glad to be alive. Bravo!! Why haven't we invited them to england? They've played in every other 'serious' venue in europe. Torons. Cheers maggie!!??!!

Yes, this is my favorite performance by a conductor for this piece, so far on RUclips! The various tempo choices enhanced the drama. And by far the best performance by any video crew, which was totally world class. Go watch another dozen videos of this piece and you will see what I mean!

Congratulations to the sound crew on a superb job.

Admirable !

    Indeed, brilliant, as always!
Today we are having this extraordinary orchestra playing at the "Grande Auditório" of the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, Portugal. They will be playing this sinphony and the 10th of Chostakovitch. Thrilled to attend! Can`t wait!
Trully inspirational and meaningfull the work of Maestro José António Abreu!
