The first thing I tried that changed my life was volunteering. I will forever remember the first time I served food at a soup kitchen for the poor. It shattered all my stereotypes of "who" I thought the poor are.
To this day my passion is paying it forward and being generous of both my time and money. It has everything to do with my political and spiritual beliefs. It is why I love everone so much and have no patience for people that show hate and divisiveness.
