So true! I felt what she said. I had issues with my body too and things that was said and done. Sexual trauma and some of my friends. It wasn’t until this guy I met that we are still friends to this day, took that shame away from me and made me feel like a sensual sexy woman.
I heard my father when I was 6 saying something to my mother, but talking in metaphors and I heard my mom say, oh no I’m not, and she was taking a bath. She hated having sex with him because he was abusive in all ways and he never made love to her. I didn’t understand until I got older what he was talking about.
Long story short I would meet men who would mention oral sex to me and I really,everted what I heard, and it disgusted me. Because they were saying it in a vulgar way and these guys didn’t even know me to talk to me like that. I was also assaulted and men were always saying things about my body, family, my father, my uncle etc.
So I didn’t want to do anything because of trauma and how men made me feel. I tried to cover myself so men wouldn’t look at me or be attracted to me since I developed so quickly. It took me a while to stop having shame and to feel sensual and beautiful and know my own body, with the help of my friend and spending time with myself.
