Love Adrienne but wow that’s SOOOO INCONSIDERATE. You’re on time for work but not for your friends!? Shows you know what’s important and not important to you. I used to be this way until a friend called me out. I never meant to do it on purpose but her words helped me see that I was being inconsiderate of her (my friend) and her time. Since that moment, I’ve made sure to always be on time and keep my plans with others. Adrienne, if you care about your friends, practice CONSIDERATION OF YOUR FRIENDS AND BE RESPECTFUL OF THEIR TIME❤️

I pause for safety reasons, rather crossing by foot or in my car, drivers are always too much in a rush & I have seen several accidents by those running red lights so will continue to wait & approach with cautious.
Also, it's safer to wait a second to see if people are running the light. This causes so many accidents

I’m Garcelle 100%. I don’t play with my time, if you ask me to be somewhere ima be there. When it’s time for me asking you to be somewhere and you’re late then there’s a problem. If I can figure out how long it will take for me to get somewhere, you should do the same as well. Adrianne said she’s on time for work but late for red carpets, isn’t red carpets that involves the real considered work. Also even if you don’t drive you should still be able to map out how far you’re doing and book a driver to get you where you need to be on time. I always say if you can catch a flight on time, why can’t you be at other places on time.

Being late to things is her flaw, however it is a terrible flaw because if you can be on time for work why can’t you be on time for your personal time.

I used to be late or running in my 20s until my supervisor told me that it was unprofessional and disrespectful of other people and their time. Over 30 years ago and I am never late. That's not about patience; it's about keeping your word and being respectful. 💛
I broke up a 6 year friendship over this. I drove 2 hrs to meet her after she said she was on her way. Showed up 7 hours after the text. Never again, that was last time I let her waste my time.

I don’t immediately go when the light turns green because sometimes there’s cars who run the light even seconds AFTER it’s been red and im not risking getting into a car accident for the sake of the person in back of me just cause they’re in a rush. I also don’t honk at the person in front of me when they’ve been there and the light is green cause these days you don’t know what kind of person is in that car. I’m not risking honking and getting a gun pulled out on me. No thanks!

I personally am not bothered by late people, however, I think people who do get upset at it are valid for feeling that way. It’s disrespectful and you’re wasting other people’s time. As long as I have music or a book to read, I’m fine with waiting, but it’s just never a good look on the other person’s part. Also, if you tell me that you manage to show up for work on time every time but can’t do so for other personal engagements, that is the equivalent of saying that you are not putting the effort in with me vs. your job which is an even more disrespectful thing… someone needs to check Adrienne!

No Adrienne,you dont have to be a driver to know how far places are.especially if its in a city you live in.if anything you could ask the person driving you how far its gonna take to get to a place.or use google maps(which is what i do!).

I agree with garcelle on time... I’m always punctual and plan everything out the night before... I plan how far it’s gonna be... I plan on anticipating traffic and factoring all that in... time is precious and life is short ... I’m like the wise and prudent virgins from the Bible that brought their lamp oil in anticipation for the groom to arrive... the ones that forgot to bring their oil had to go to the market... the groom suddenly arrived and the virgins that were prepared got to go inside while the ones that rushed from the market finally arrived but the doors were bolted shut.. I’m sorry Adrienne but this ain’t it honey. I understand running 5-15 minutes behind but that is extremely inconsiderate if you expect them wait on you 45 minutes, especially for a red carpet event. & the audacity to laugh it off like it’s about “practicing patience” It’s not an excuse to say it’s because you don’t drive. You can easily look up travel times on your phone PLUS your team should be helping you stay on schedule in these kind of situations. Judging by this conversation it seems like it’s a consistent pattern which isn’t cool or cute. Trust me I’m not judging because as a Latina I KNOW our culture tends to RUN LATE & it’s silently understood between us, but managing my time better is something I’ve made it a point to work on because it’s important to respect other people’s time.

Honestly, I’m somebody who is chronically late because of my OCD and general anxiety, so I’m almost never bothered by people running late because that would be hypocritical of me. But I can see how it’s annoying and frustrating. I always text when I’m running late.

Sometimes you can pick up bad habits from friends. I had friends that were always late. I would show up to functions, parties etc and notice barely anyone was there. Same for birthday events. I stop coming early and started coming late. Next thing you know I would start being late for some of my things. I agree with Garcelle it can be inconsiderate; especially, when it's a habit.
Right, I only give people a grace period if they’re never late. Things happen. But if the person has a history of late, then no. Because then thats just disrespectful.
I hate it when someone doesn't pay attention at a light. Just because you are at a light, it doesn't mean that you should hop on your phone and mess around and make everyone wait behind you and potentially have to wait again at the light. Especially since there are red light cameras nowadays.

Now even if I suspect I would delay I'm not planning to stick around and if anything I'd reschedule.
