Pro Guide Corona RGH CR4 Muffin style install using Matrix V1

Quick introduction to the CR4 Muffin style install on a 16mb nand Corona console. This isn't meant to be a detailed tutorial, but is enough info that anyone who does RGH's should be able to get the idea and try for themselves if they like.

Hi, I have a little problem regarding this modification. I have installed your timing file (CR4, Matrix), run xell, read cpu key, write NAND (CR4) and when this modified NAND is installed on my console, xbox wont boot. I see that it is trying because its restarting itself but without any success. Xell run within couple of seconds. This is not my first RGH i have made a lot of them but i have never seen something like this. Do you know what might be a problem?

FYI, that led tell cpu frequency, faint means it successfully slowing down cpu since RGH works by drawing V_CPUPLL (cpu voltage). The caps on glitch chip used for drawing power more but can be fatal to CPU regulator or power management module.

I can't get consistent fadt boots with this install. Tried on 2 different Coronas and different Matrix chips, and they are very inonsistent. Using same timing file. Any ideas?

Do you have to check the "cr4" box on JRunner? Could you program a Chip before you connect vcc and ground to the console on standby mode?

Yes, check cr4. Yes, you can program chip in advance if you like.

TheWeekendModder what if I have already a corona (not 4gb) with ace V3 and I just wanna swap it with a matrix glitcher(apart from different solder points of course) do I have to rebuilt a new nand image checking the cr4 box or I have to swap only the chip and leave the nand as it was with the ace V3?PS: Sorry for my English

That depends on how the Ace V3 was installed. The Ace can be installed in standard RGH2 configuration without CR4 speedup, but it can also be done as "S-RGH" aka with CR4 speedup. So how your console was done originally would determine if you can simply swap the chip or if you need a new nand image with the cr4 box checked,

It's a normal install on corona. Not S-RGH neither RGH 1.2 because it's a slim. So I guess I have to build a new nand image with cr4 speed up box checked

Hello if under my case i dont need a post fix adaptor for my corona 16mb since the R2C6 and 7 are present which points should I use to solder my Matrix V3. can you please help

Yea, it is very possible to wreck your console doing this.

Will this tutorial work if I substitute the nand-x with the sd tool? will everything be the same?

If you are missing a 4gv nand Corona, ya. But you still need a way to program the timing file on the glitch chip.(or get it pre programmed)

@@TheWeekendModder Thank you for your reply. I have a 4GB Console. That means it is a corona, correct? I plan to buy the matrix chip from your site pre-programmed with the muffin_3-1 timing file. I've only rgh'd fat consoles in the past.

@@hughjanus6975 no. You could have a 4gb Trinity. It being 4gb isn't itself sufficient to say it's a Corona
