I've been interested in modding game consoles for around 4-5 years, but I never even thought about attempting an RGH until about 2 years ago. I think I first saw your 2018 RGH 1.2 video, and that was the first RGH that I successfully completed. Thank you for the work that you've been putting into all of these videos and guides, it has helped many people including me!

I just successfully RGH’d my Corona 4GB! I tried to RGH an old phat around seven years ago when I was fifteen and failed miserably. This time, I decided to invest in a Hako iron, buy all the necessary supplies from you, and most importantly…take my damn time. Thank you for all the videos/guides, and proud to say my Corona instant boots every time!

Cool idea! I never considered using Software to flash the RGH3 compatible NAND before doing the RGH3 wiring.

Its usually best to disconnect signal wires that aren't connected to anything due to floating voltages. I was messing around with an Arduino the other day that a button between 5 volts and a digital input pin. Immediately when I plugged a jumper into the input pin and not connected to the other side of the button yet, the pin started reading high randomly and my code was firing prematurely, all due to floating voltages. It wasn't until I put in a pull-down resistor to keep the signal low only until the circuit was completed when the button was pressed. Something to keep in mind if you ever have reliability issues.

@TheWeekendModder I have this old Xenon that I did the RGH with EXT_CLK and works just fine. But after watching this video I'm curious if it would be possible to pull the mod chip and flash the NAND with JTAG. Like the Xenon you did with old dashboard. Would that work? This would be for science of course lol

Does this also apply for converting a Trinty with rgh2 to rgh3? My brother done a rgh2 sometime last year and want's to convert it to a rgh3 due to it's inconsistent boot times

Can you for testing purpose before everything is disconnected remove only 3.3V wire from modchip and then when everything is ok remove the rest?

using Picoflasher backup Nand & Write Nand is succesfully..
and wiring RGH3 im sure is good (because im experience RGH3 around 8 Console)
but No Display on my TV.. consol just center green light..
as far as remember my Dashboard when RGH2 is 2.0.17148..
then create & write RGH3 with 2.0.17559..
is this causing problem No Display??
or i must update Dashboard 2.0.17559 before RGH3??

i need to do this to a couple slim trinity's. one has an old cool runner rev.b and one has a x360ace v4. boot times on the cool runner are pretty bad, the x360ace boots pretty quick sometimes, its not as good as my old jasper though.
An alternative to get the chip out could be using dental floss between the chip and the board. People have done it in the past to replace the glass of phone screens.
Just transitioned my Trinity over, never thought about flashing the new image with XeLL instead of the NAND reader so that definitely saved me some time lol.

I had to do the software way for my GoW Trinity as I could not detect the console with the NAND header for whatever reason

Downloaded the Jrunner RGH3 repack but the kernel version is blank and the only options there is Add Dash/Delete dash. How do I add dash ?
You have to download a FULL jrinner, then put that exe over the original. Running just the exe from my pack will behave how you describe

I've had a slim corrona 4gb rgh2 for years always boots up. I've noticed if u use a cheap or old/damage hdmi cable you will get slower boot times but if you use a high speed hdmi or even better the original hd av cables its instant boot 90% of the time and will always boot within 30 seconds.

No, as I stated multiple times in the video - you can do this with just two wires and the resistor.

I think I just corrupted my nand by either writing the wrong files/ecc or by accidentally turning on the console when Jrunner was still plugged in. The console had a dead x360run chip so I thought I could experiment with RGH3 . The dump was good with no bad blocks but now I can not read nand, and writing nand backup brings several errors like this...
"Error: 000 writing block 0" etc
"Failed to write 0×30" etc
Checking console....

Please help, I just need to be able to write back the original modded nand dump. I don't think it's my Brunner either because it can still write timing files into a matrix chip without a problem
Is there away to reset/erase nand and write back the original dump so I can begin from there. Another thing is that I didn't use a 1k resistor on the rst point and it's 16mb Trinity. I have modded 5 consoles before successfully so I am sure about the soldering
I solved this problem by reflashing the firmware on my JR programmmer
