This band is one of a kind. I've heard a LOT of this progressive post-hardcore style and they still stand out to me. Especially First Temple. I also really like Stolas' (band) self-titled for similar reasons, but it's darker than this.
12 years on and this song is still every bit as good as it always was. Such a unique but powerful vocal sound, inventive writing with good foundations, catchy melodies... just all around excellent music 👏
one of the smartest moves equalvision has made in a long time is to sign this band. the melbourne local scene is full of amazingly talented bands like this.
This song is one of the most refreshing songs I have heard in years. To convey this energy with clean vocals is amazing. Rock right now is in a weird place, and the Anthony Green Saosins, and Names Takens are long gone. This is one of my favorite rock songs ever.
Finally redound this band! I used to listen back in 09ish but forgot the name and I kid you not it came to me this morning while I was half asleep! A light bulb went off after a DECADE
the soft voice with the metal intrumentals is new, and nice, its like some bad pop-rock vox made good by the instuments, such a voice actually sounds good with a metal backround
i looked up shows for skylit drive then saw senses fail is gonna b ther 2 and got rly excited then i checked out closure to moscow and luved them. cant wait for the show.
This band is pretty sick. The guitar riffs are awesome and I don't think it's overly busy at all. Personally, I'm tired of music being dumbed down to the point that there is no sonic atmosphere at all. I hope these guys get enough notoriety to make an album. Keep rockin!
their singer is amazing, and he sounds identical live too. unlike a lot of bands that use autotuners and shit to make their vocals sound better, he is just naturally amazing.
I cant wait to see them this summer. they are one of those bands that will be life changing when you see them. They are so unique and original. I love it.
wicked band saw them at the art factory in sydney playing alongside the mission in motion and fifty sixx last year! singer was wearing a dress...he loved it feekin good tunes really enjoy seeing upcoming bands smash it up well done guys keep it up!
"get well aquainted with your ache, dont look away, casue and effecft will be our tragic end" i love that part :D whole song is amazing, but that part stands out to me
So I also went and seen these guys play for MCR in Sydney... When I walked in they were talking about penguins in bondage... And band that has lyrics like that = RESPECT! also = Win
@ofkeysandcages funnily enough, they're on Warped Tour this summer, haha. I'm really stoked, too because they're coming through my town. Also, I agree with your prog rock position. Definitely a talent-taxing style to cater to.
I agree with pastach1, having another bass pedal can allow for more creativity than less. It's just that it's more likely easier to learn with just one pedal first and go on to another for maybe the metal genre--they incorporate a lot of double bass, and it makes it all the more brutal if they can hold those for days without the foot twitch.
i saw them live like four days ago, and i had never heard about them. the lead singer kept grabbing himself and flopping all over the stage, i fell in love :)
Australian Post-Hardcore FTFW!!! :D Seen Closure In Moscow about 50million times live here in Melbourne, now seeing them signed and doing well for themselves brings me heaps of happiness :] Oh, but I do agree with a lot of the people. A few screams here and there would help their music along a bit.
@Troubledpro This is their EP, and this is a pretty straightforward "rock song". They had to make a splash, and get in peoples heads. You get a chaotic performance to get people listening.
@ItchyKneeSon Heavy prog elements, solid guitar work, and topics/themes outside the realm of wearing skinny jeans and going through relationships like most pop punk bands.
@Ninja3853049 Agree completely. This song is not too bad but it doesn't really showcase the bands talent. Their CD and EP tho are absolutely amazing. They are super talent musicians, which was something I didn't expect after hearing this song. I thought they would just be another catchy pop-alternative band. I was blown away for sure.
THIS REALLY WORKS!!!! FIRST put both hands on your chest. (boy or girl) SECOND think of someone you like. THIRD tomorrow that person will ask you out or say they love you. FOURTH Heres the catch, write this to five videos
it's funny to listen to this kind of music thinking "oh finally some fresh air in the room" and you look at when this track was released...
Post hardcore will never be what it used to be. The mid to late 2000s were the golden age :(
This band is one of a kind. I've heard a LOT of this progressive post-hardcore style and they still stand out to me. Especially First Temple. I also really like Stolas' (band) self-titled for similar reasons, but it's darker than this.
It's 2020 and here we are.
2024 and here we stand.
12 years on and this song is still every bit as good as it always was. Such a unique but powerful vocal sound, inventive writing with good foundations, catchy melodies... just all around excellent music 👏
I remember seeing this band at warped tour - EXTREMELY underrated. I used to have both their albums constantly on repeat
Damn you saw them live!? So lucky...
the drumming in this track is just insane
Timmy Andre saw them live. The drummer is huge behind the drum kit. Had to be 6'2 or more
Not the original drummer. Beau McKee was fucking insane!!!
I have always said the same about this song. The whole Penance ep really
Drummer is really good.. Can tell he makes the drums really a part of the music and not just sound like a drumtrack... Has emotion
one of the smartest moves equalvision has made in a long time is to sign this band.

Holy fucking shit, they've changed so much. They're so much more funky now.
I love how animated they are in their videos as well as on stage. This band is amazing and so are their personalities.
pretty sad they never play this song live, can only imagine the energy that would be producer in the room
I cant believed that has been 15 years from this
If this song doesn't wake you up, you're dead. This made me love the band when I first heard it.
i love these guys so much.
it feels like there should be screaming,
but im so glad that there isnt any.
its different and pretty much incredible
この時代の君たちに戻ってくれ。
今ならまだ間に合う。
良いじゃんこの曲も程よくDiscoっぽくて、ほどよくEmoで、程よくatmosphereで、最高じゃん。
1:08 to 1:24 is the stuff of legend!! Love it!!
the soft voice with the metal intrumentals is new, and nice, its like some bad pop-rock vox made good by the instuments, such a voice actually sounds good with a metal backround
THis band is amazing...And some of the nicest guys i have ever met
Can I upvote this 50 million times please? x
i looked up shows for skylit drive then saw senses fail is gonna b ther 2 and got rly excited then i checked out closure to moscow and luved them. cant wait for the show.
These guys are perfect live, I really need to see them again
saw them yesterday in eindhoven supporting Dance Gavin Dance... what an awesome band!
2008 my shit. I remember thinking when they first signed how far they would come and im quite pleased they kept at it
kind of reminds of an Aussie version of Saison
This band is pretty sick. The guitar riffs are awesome and I don't think it's overly busy at all. Personally, I'm tired of music being dumbed down to the point that there is no sonic atmosphere at all. I hope these guys get enough notoriety to make an album. Keep rockin!
I agree, screaming would take alot away from this song
plus the singer has got one of the best voices i've heard, i'm fine with just listening to that
This band is soooo gedamn diverse. Funk, experimental, post-hardcore, these guys have layers son.
these guys are great, i saw them yesterday with Dance Gavin Dance and The Audition
hella cool, i bought the cd and met the bass player, great people
seriously cant get enough of this song......
their singer is amazing, and he sounds identical live too. unlike a lot of bands that use autotuners and shit to make their vocals sound better, he is just naturally amazing.
I cant wait to see them this summer. they are one of those bands that will be life changing when you see them. They are so unique and original. I love it.
This song is amazing....closure in moscow is amazing
wicked band saw them at the art factory in sydney playing alongside the mission in motion and fifty sixx last year! singer was wearing a dress...he loved it feekin good tunes really enjoy seeing upcoming bands smash it up well done guys keep it up!
i saw these guys live!!! wooow, there were good assss, and i spoke to them all!
i saw 'em Suppot Coheed in Melbourne! was amazed! went in expecting some lame-oh hardcore wunnabe support band, got these guys instead! so good!
that transition into that outro was ridiculous-epic
closure in moscow are awesome,
they have such a frantic style though,
it's crazy but awesome
I just wanna know why they took this song off of Spotify😭
Me too man, me too smh.
brooooo its treasonous that they did. This their best track imo
Issues with the publishers. Should be up in a couple weeks.
It’s up there
Saw these guys at the Gyro gig last night! Quite enjoyed them! Singer has great presence and voice!
"get well aquainted with your ache, dont look away, casue and effecft will be our tragic end"
i love that part :D whole song is amazing, but that part stands out to me
I saw them last night in Hartford, CT. Amazing live and really cool dudes.
So I also went and seen these guys play for MCR in Sydney... When I walked in they were talking about penguins in bondage... And band that has lyrics like that = RESPECT! also = Win
Closure Playing Warped this year has me psyched :) Can't wait to see em on July 28th in Cincinnati!
Yea dude. I love the rythm he does at :37
This drummer needs to be know! Beau is my idol!
this song just picks u pick u up from a blahh mood to a pumped up mood. cant wait to see them at wapred
@ofkeysandcages funnily enough, they're on Warped Tour this summer, haha. I'm really stoked, too because they're coming through my town.
Also, I agree with your prog rock position. Definitely a talent-taxing style to cater to.
Great song, and CiM's most viewed one on youtube. I remember this from my Myspace days. I still love this band lol
Quite possibly my new favorite band, after thirty seconds of this song.
The drummer looks like he's having loads of fun!
Thank you for Dance Gavin Dance!
yeah, ive seen them like 3 or 4 times. in melbourne, they are badass
I'm with you bro. I thoroughly enjoy The Mars Volta and Closure. I only hear the similarities on a couple of songs.
i saw them live like four days ago, and i had never heard about them. the lead singer kept grabbing himself and flopping all over the stage, i fell in love :)
hahaahaha at 1:07 the girl behind him doesn't know the cut is coming and is still headbanging as they stop
These guys played at my school with dream on dreamer. Best night and best band :)
true dat... live gigs are sick!
HECK YUSSS TO SLAPP BASS!!!! cant get nuff of these guitars :D
one of the greatest sets at bamboozle, hands down
Such a good singer
HECK YUSSS TO SLAPP BASS!!!! cant get nuff of these guitars :D also.... 2:44
Australian Post-Hardcore FTFW!!!
:D
Seen Closure In Moscow about 50million times live here in Melbourne, now seeing them signed and doing well for themselves brings me heaps of happiness :]
Oh, but I do agree with a lot of the people. A few screams here and there would help their music along a bit.
Ofelia Ofelia is my favorite, but this is a close second. I love them
The singer sounds like the lead singer in Akissforjersey! :) Amazing Voice
So, I am listening to every band thats attending warped tour and this was one. I usually find the good and the bad.. This is the good. :D yessshh.
man im jealous that that tour didnt come by my town.
three of my favorite bands.
great band. great song.
@Troubledpro This is their EP, and this is a pretty straightforward "rock song". They had to make a splash, and get in peoples heads. You get a chaotic performance to get people listening.
love the beginning part.just like saosin =)
SOUNDWAVE 2010!!!!!
These guys are amazing!
Definite Mars Volta influence there
gross are you kidding? that bits fucking amazing i swear.
most talented melbourne band round i swear.
anyone else get reminded of Funeral For a Friend listening to these guys?
Keep up with the melodic vocals. High-pitched vocals ftw.
This is my band teacher's favorite band, sweeeet.
OMFG I can see myself.
Thats so scary :P but awesome at the same time!!!
ILY so much guys x
its all good i like them..they r almost like a chiodos without screaming
This EP crushes their full length, what are you talking about???
what a FANTASTIC bass tone, i love it!
glad they made a video for this, best song on the ep
watched these guys at a gig, they are great live!
Probably one of the most intense music videos ever.
@ItchyKneeSon
Heavy prog elements, solid guitar work, and topics/themes outside the realm of wearing skinny jeans and going through relationships like most pop punk bands.
woooow, insaneee!
first time listening they are really good. surprised i havent heard of them
@Ninja3853049 Agree completely. This song is not too bad but it doesn't really showcase the bands talent. Their CD and EP tho are absolutely amazing. They are super talent musicians, which was something I didn't expect after hearing this song. I thought they would just be another catchy pop-alternative band. I was blown away for sure.
awesome music video and i love the way they sound.
The beginning scared me XD i had the volume high haha i love when voices echo softly
So unique..... so good
@samfitz888 Has to be the double bass pedal since i find that Fact isn't really that similar except when it comes to the drums that just me.
@brandonG93 that's ok, they've matured their sound since then, hence probably why they remade it
Ahaha woo i use to hang out with Beau and Brad in highschool. Things change sooo fast!
this is a legit song. blew me away. i heard about this band threw emarosa.
THIS REALLY WORKS!!!!
FIRST put both hands on your chest. (boy or girl)
SECOND think of someone you like.
THIRD tomorrow that person will ask you out or say they love you.
FOURTH Heres the catch, write this to five videos
it's really soo true instrumentally there's no comparison (not to mention Cedric), however I still like these guys quite a bit
Best. Breakdown. Ever.
Everyone should know that both their albums are fucking amazing! I suggest you all get them and listen them for at least 1 week :P
saw them live last night, really awesome
