Lyrics:
I’ll be a martyr for your indifference
if you promise to line my tomb with trinkets
There won’t be a resonating cry
just an awkward formal dialogue
between my ghost and those I’ve denied
We want guarantees, not hunger pains
but starvation just won’t subside
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
You drift with every word they say
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
I think we’ve lost our way
You told me what you stand for
The sleepless crusade
The bitter campaign
In every room that we walk in
the walls are skin and they’re writhing
oh they’re writhing
In every room that we walk in
the walls are skin and they’re writhing
oh they’re writhing
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
You drift with every word they say
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
I think we’ve lost our way
You’d be unwise to sate the urge
but go ahead you wouldn’t be the first
In every room that we walk in
the walls are skin and they’re writhing
oh they’re writhing
In every room that we walk in
the walls are skin and they’re writhing
oh they’re writhing
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
You drift with every word they say
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
I think we’ve lost our way
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
You drift with every word they say
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
I think we’ve lost our way
Somewhere between the penance & the patience
Somewhere between the penance & the patience

Equal Vision sucks for not getting this band the exposure they deserved.
Agreed, I think they were with Taper-Jean when my band opened for them ages ago. They should have been huge.
I just found this band a couple weeks ago and had a discussion with a friend about why they didn't get bigger. They deserved to. They sound great, their style is semi-unique. These other bands I see on this channel are far worse.
Amen. I remember when they moved to Washington from Australia to pursue their dream... and they just fell off the face of the earth. This EP was one hell of an introduction to this band...
1000%, I cannot believe they didn't blow up off the back of this EP. It was gold.
Agreed
This album isn't on Spotify anymore...what a shame but at least it's still on RUclips
they're back!
@@dethtolldotmid I just discovered this today and I was so damn happy! What a killer EP!
Definitely still in Spotify
@@CasualT840was temporarily removed when they switched studios i think
Another criminally underrated band, still love these guys.
HUGE
This band deserved more exposure. So well written & arranged
This song still enters my mind from time to time, catchy af!
Somewhere between the penance and the patience!!!
These guys will go far, they deserve it. Songs are perfect
Their drummer is hella good! The vocals are BOSS!!!
How have I not heard of these guys before???
Never gets old with these guys. There music is like a rollercoaster
enjoying their newest album?
um why doesn't this have at least a million views? just discovered these guys recently. amazing discovery.
This band is fantastic; I've been listening to their EP like crazy. First Temple and Pink Lemonade were amazing too. Furthermore, any music these guyz create is amazing. Their is just to much epic talent behind this music. Keep it up, CIM.
First Temple was their best, in my opinion. Such a shame...
@@JanoyCresvaZero I don't think its a shame, first temple is their best album but pink lemonade and penance and the patience are great as well. these guys aren't a full time band and have jobs of their own outside of music, so it takes them a while to create new material. if you want a teaser of some new stuff they are writing have a look at their Instagram, they have a bass tracking video and it sounds pretty sick imo.
@@Bakauvu
They just never reached their potential.
I love their lead singer. He's so talented and charismatic and funny.
Does he make you wet for jesus?
@@Jackson-xq2et I'm wet for wetty
Long time no hear.. holy crap
0:55 the classic single stroke drum roll as a lick is an undervalued tool missing from most modern drummer's lexicons
What can i say!
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GREAT!!!!
Voice, Guitars, Bass, Battery, the all band are a genious!!!!!!!
One of their bests.
Closure In Moscow are so amazing, I remember seeing them for like $10 at local gigs.
So lucky
I just found this song in my suggestions. The moment I heard the singer open his mouth I melted & fell in love. Gorgeous voice.
I haven't heard this song in forever. Brings back memories.
This band is crazy good live. Saw them last summer without ever having heard their music before and was blown away.
What in the Mars Volta! I love this band. They remind me of many of my favorite bands, Circa Survive, The Mars Volta, and Hail The Sun.
i love the way chris bounces around when he sings ^^ its makes me happy :D
my thought exactly!
My favorite song of this guys ♥
just saw them live with Emery and Maylene and the sons of disaster. they were amazing. definately not a dissapointment
Saw these guys last week as well with a couple of months ago. They get better and better each time. You definitely would not be disappointed.
1:48 - 2:08 will always be a damn catchy bit
amesome music...
Use to listen to this song all the time I'm glad Luke covered this(Big fan of Luke's covers hes been on youtube for a while......) but they were very good before ...
no one did an electric guitar cover of this song...i'm so sad :(
this guys are great musicians, especialy the drummer. At liest it seams, i never saw them live. So what they sound like someone else. It's hard to come up whit somethin 100% original.
so true
this band is so epic, their sound is so refined
so damn underrated
i agree! funeral for a friend video and cover art!
this is the osng that sold me years ago
Their drummer is amazing!
i get what youre saying. after listening to them a lot, i think theyre a little unique. just the guitar, and vocals. plus their songs have a great energy
yup they're performing with some local band - a vacant affair or sth. at scape youth park (the somerset skate park place :P)
i m loving the background vocalist's voice
haha im from singapore too ^^ saosin coming soon too next yr! cant wait haha.
this reminds me of jamie's elsewhere's 'the end of innocence'
@coltonfears actually the backup singer does when hes singing in his lower register.
Love this.
One of the greatest bands ever.
they're playing at The Toff in Town tomorrow! Can't wait to see em back here :D
HOLY CRAP THIS IS SO AWESOME! i like the backup vocals, he looks like he could have potential but not enough as the lead singer
I always loved Jaoquin Phoenix
hey thanks for the suggestions... just found these guys. always lookin for new tunes. and the fall of troy is definitely one of my favs. so i'll have a looksee about the other bands.
as far as this band goes... i'm diggin them. fresh sound.
This is how heaven sounds like.
I like it.
This song is so amazing!
Can't wait for the new album! Finally!
This is my favourite Band!
Please cover this man, my old drum teach played for these guys and it would mean allot if you uploaded a cover of theirs.
...and they don't even know how influential these guys were/are to all there little favorites!
I feel lame, cause I'm way into music and JUST found these guys.
They are graaand.
holy shit!! they got signed to equal vision!!
oh my goodness. This band is amazing
agreed
Closure in Moscow, if you guys ever need an official photographer, I would love to be the man!
@Swansen03 yeah thats just my opinion. But FYI there are a few vids floating around of them playing live.
Have you heard Night at the Spleen by them? That's a solid song.
i used to hang with these dudes when they first started in australia lol
sounds pretty good.
man this song is pretty hard rocking :)
lovely song!
@rickcrouch honestly man, thats basically all i really want in a music video, some crazy version of a live show.. simply because i'll probably never get the chance to see them live.
This band is amazing. I'm sad I didn't know about the.
holy frick. amazing.
@jessemangiagli tru dat. Cedric's range is ridiculously large. In goliath he hits notes I didn't even know existed
@PeepBox
Eastwood Airline Map. Black one looks like an aerodyne telecaster.
fuckkk, good times :c
They'll Be Playing In Warped Tour '10!!
"in every room that we walk in the walls are skin and they're writhing OHH THEY'RE WRITHING" ohhh i want them to come back to aus.
it was sick
thats what i thought, like post hardcore with no screaming xD
Agree, but seems like these guys change genre every album
these guys r soooo awesome
they're #1 all the way :))
@trtisme Defently not mathcore, mathcore bands all the different instruments are in different time signatures, and are still all going in proper rhythm to each other
Breath taking!!!! wow!!! xDDDD its gorgeous!!!
Oh god forever banging to CiM
love it
in all his vids the singers hand are like having seizures lol thier music is beautiful
if you have heard him before, you should know this. He make covers of what the fans want.
Hey man, go for a cover then! I think I wouldn't be the only one enjoying a CIM cover by you!
good!
actually this band sounds almost exactly like "the rise of science" both bands got signed around the same time but honestly its hard to tell the difference between the two sound wise.
and what an amazing combo it is :)
This needs more views
OKAY!!!!
Sweet goodness! This is fantastic!
And Chris looks reallllly attractive in this too ;D
This actually sounds really amazing.
Started off weird but got over that quickly. :)
definitely sounds a lot like saosin. the singers have very similar ranges and the style of music is very similar
@sockmon no that parts awesome
@rickcrouch welp, seeing a band play in person is one thing, watching them play live through a screen is something else, so, for a disconnected experience, the theatrics are nice for me. Being viewed through a screen, the antics fit. but, as you have stated, this is just to my liking. :)
FINALLY, A ROCK VID WITHOUT ANY HATER COMMENTS!
Wow.. these guys really like hands!
the best music comes form australia =]
yeah their new bassist is my lesson teacher hahaha
@alienboyguitar and also they don't have same voice. maybe of a same music. chris is more of a Bert(the used) voice.
