"This song is about being in love with a person so much so that they inspire a positive change in you and drive you to improve yourself. But then have to let go of that person for some reason. Maybe upon realizing you can never be good enough for them. (Because you didn’t sow that much anyways) Not being able to forget is what really hurts."
A liar of the sharpest tongue We can't be something we're not I've met with the winged things baying And they feed off the winter lurking in your mind I can see it in your eyes I just want you to get out I just want you to get out But once you were beautiful enough to bear seeds of gold I didn't sow much You would hold me and I would stare A pillar of salt, Whisked away by the air Beautiful right from the start I loved your soul enough to leave in the cold Just when I think I'll be safer out here By picking up the pace, covering ground Something is looming, wicked in these clouds and calling me back Where will I run when all these winged things circle over my head? When you're young in the wild, living in denial You'll never survive But once you were beautiful enough to bear seeds of gold I didn't sow much You would hold me and I would stare A pillar of salt, Whisked away by the air Beautiful right from the start I loved your soul enough to leave in the cold I don't know if it's your voice that dissolves on the brittle light You supplicate from the place I dare not tread and ask me to lay myself bare But your are dressed in night and snow beautiful enough to bear seeds of gold I didn't sow much You would hold me and I would stare A pillar of salt, Whisked away by the air Beautiful right from the start I loved your soul enough to leave in the cold and now into the shroud (Now that I know that we're one in the same)
I don't think people get that this album is just inspired by the styles in the 70's. The story the album follows is a very psychedelic and trippy tale. It made sense to make the music resemble styles of a time where there was more of a transcendent atmosphere in the music and other art forms. Now you can argue that there were 70's funk inspired vocal harmonies in first temple and that it might have just been the direction they were going in but I don't think so. I think they'll either go back to a style similar to that of first temple or somewhere completely new. Either way this album was great and so was their other stuff. I have faith that these guys won't disappoint no matter what they pick up.
It turns out you can set your username to a random sentence so that is exactly what I have done look up the singer's explanation the album. He goes track by track. I would explain it but it's very complicated and confusing. I couldn't really sum it up for you.

Anthony Valenti Well, I think this really is just kind of more of the direction they were going in, and they most likely won't be going back to the sound of First Temple. I've talked to Chris, the singer, quite a bit and they really just kind of listen to a lot of older music like this. Their style reflects what they listen to, ya know? Chris is super into Queen and Frank Zappa. This album is heavily influenced by those two bands. I think their evolution makes a lot of sense. Every album has just gotten more and more funky and psychedelic and progressive.
I can tell you from experience that while you're right about about those genres and styles influencing Pink Lemonade for the reasons you stated, that also WAS just generally the direction they were and have kind of always been going in. Just listen to the progression and evolution they went through from their first EP to First Temple. They just keep getting more diverse sonically and blending more genres, to the point that one could maybe say they're just creating a whole new subgenre of their own. At least I'd personally say that's what they've done. And the new stuff most definitely won't be a return to the sounds of First Temple, or a return to anything they've done before. It'll be influenced by their older shit of course, but they'll always just keep moving forward and making something new for us to experience. And I can say without a doubt that, as long as you like good music, it will not disappoint. They never, ever do.
My friend just introduced me to them a couple months ago. Tbh the post hard-core early stuff doesn't really stand out to me, but the later shit hits like a freighter. The first time I heard pink lemonade they were solidified as a forever band in my favorites.
bruh you are a god :) saw them in a Melbourne a few times. one in the temple days and once during pink lemonade and holy fuck they are fun dudes @@froydian9185
I know every comment in the 8 years this has been up keeps saying this, but damn if it isnt true, this song is a hit, it has all the making of one, its got the fantastic talent needed to appeal to music nerds and the accessibility and groove to be casual listener friendly. Its only circumstance that (at least in the US) this song didnt blow up. Or at least bring the band to a larger status similar to a band like Coheed and Cambria or Muse
Another amazing music video. I can't really decide whether I like this or Church of the Technochrist better. They are both so good. I would love to see you guys come to San Francisco.
Been listening to guys since they pretty much started.I remember when they released "Chemical Inside Me" back in 2007,and just to see the evolution of their music has been awesome, keep it up.
Love it!!! I wanted to make it as my ring tone but my boyfriend said no as he didn't want me to ruin the song for him as he loves it too. I hope you guys get all the success you crave as you deserve it.
+HammersmashedTaco I had literally the same exact thought process about a year ago as well. I don't even remember how I got here but that was the same sequence of thoughts I went through. Sir, I commend you on the BTBAM flag.
Dont know why there are so many negative comments?!? This is AMAZING!! You fellas have come such a long way since TP&TP. This is a unique style and as a musician myself, I can honestly say that you have tuned your own sound!! Good job to Chris and the fellas! It took a while but the City of Casey kids always stick together!!
You're like a Mars Volta that i can play on a pool party.
Thanks Spotify Discovery Weekly.
That's a perfect description for them
Finally! A good description of Closure in reference to Volta.
That ever so slight tint of Secret & Whisper helps a lot with the vocals
Mars Volta is as unique as Closure In Moscow - but I would also play Mars Volta on my pool party, haha.
Thanks.
On a pool party?
surprised this didn't go mainstream, it sounds really catchy
I think it got decent play in Australia
Better it was ruined by the mainstream
Good music never does.
@@justandardprocedure That’s awesome! I would love to see the Closure In Moscow go to main stream in America.
Woulda loved to see these boys in CAN

when you find out WetforJesus on Twitch has been a singer in a band for years and you never knew until they announced new music
What
After finding this band in the latter part of last year I'm patiently waiting on a new album.
well you got it ^^ theyre releasing stuff rn. we´ve waited for 9 years

if it's your voice that dissolves on the brittle light

This is my favorite Joe Exotic song!
Excellent track, needs more exposure despite the release date.
a masterpiece. so jazzed for "Soft Hell" coming soon this year
Closure in Moscow has been a breath of fresh air for post-hardcore with every release they had, now they're doing that for music in general.
How did you boys not blow up like crazy? This is a goddamn jam.
The drum guy was my drum teacher for primary school
If true, that is cool asf dude.
he seems a little overqualified
thats hella rad
They are finally making a new album it was annonced on the their twitter !
YASSSS
Any updates?
Whoaaah yes!
@@LeondreWilsono0o in the studio recording frequently as of now, working with andrei eremin. new album is a funky pop prog... i dont even know.
The lead singer of this band is also a super funny twitch streamer. This band needs more attention. LOVE THIS~!

If people had good taste in music , this album would have been number one around the world. Can't wait for the follow up.
If I remember correctly, they took loans and sold their cars to produce that and it didn't sell. I think they gave up.
@@absflgd nope. New stuff dropping soon!

Truly a lost gem this band is. Could've been so amazing. This jam leaves most modern pop nowadays in the dust
They are in process of making a new album, should be out this year

It's artsy, weird, and funky. Yep. This video defines Closure in Moscow. I kinda felt this song was fit to be a music video/single.
Chorus is an absolute banger
Brilliant video for a brilliant song. Good job, guys. I hope this song/video gets you some new fans!
This is the best song that nobody has heard
