This song is legendary on so many levels- a cholo blending rapping with emotional shred guitar over thrash is as amazing as it sounds. I fell in love with this album in middle school in the mid-80’s and it’s still one of my all-time favorites.

In about the 7th or 8th grade, a new metal head friend of mine told me about Suicidal Tendencies and lent me his CD. He said, “Make sure I get it back.” Of course I did. Hell, at the time, I think I had literally just gotten my first CD player, a component CD player that I picked up relatively cheap (at the time for a CD player) from Sears Surplus. CD players were still pretty new at the time. I had never heard of Suicidal Tendencies before then but I listened to the CD and it made one hell of an impact. I’m 45 now and I still freakin’ love these guys and especially this song which for me was the most memorable from my first time listening to the CD.

this shit set my world on fire, back in the days of video-forward heavy music. not too long before this, a guy that had a year or two on me and my friends gave us their s/t cassette cause he decided he was more into new wave. it took a couple minutes but this galvanized it. we were ST for life.
Fucking awesome band. I grew up hardcore, and hated when the hardcore Heroes went metal. But these cats kept knocking it outta tha park. Their musicality went unnoticed with a lot of the critics. And got dismissed by most punks. It's their loss though cause these dudes evolved and kept crushing
