So many great bands came through back in the day and would play at these hole-in-the-wall places in Greensboro, Raleigh, Chapel Hill and Durham and I lived right here in the sticks in the middle of all of it. Shit was great,30-60 minutes drive to see all kinda great bands. Great time to be a teenager, goddamn it was a GREAT time to be a teenager.
Urban Discipline!!!!! One of the best works of that era for sure. Still holds its own in modern times... Don't forget about the mash up they did with Onyx "Slam"
CrsPro Urban Discipline and State of the World Address are my two favorite albums by them. One of my HC buddies knew that Biohazard has been my nickname since ‘83 and played Justified Violence for me back in ‘88. That fucker refused to tell me the name of the band for 2 weeks. They’ve been one of my favorite bands ever since. If you ever get a chance, go see Billy in one of his other bands, they always play some Bio tunes.
CrsPro you’re making me feel old. My intro to HC was Suicidal Tendencies when they were just a local band playing parties and crappy clubs in ‘81 & ‘82. I was just a little skater kid hanging out with my older cousins and surfing up in the LA area when they lived in Venice, Ca by the beach.
