LYRICS
I make now a stand for belief that I'm steadfast
In hating all of the bullshit you give me
About my future, present and past
Who are you to infringe your values upon me?
(I've learned the hard way)
Stepping on my toes, you've put my back to the wall
(My back to the wall)
I've been told a thousand times to give respect when due
Why do you find it so hard to believe, I've got none for you
It's my heart and my mind that I'll always follow
(I will not break)
Nor will my balls although that I've seen that you've tried before
(Why are people fake?)
Maybe you're older, wiser in your own right, it's your mistake
I'm gonna do my own thing regardless, my choice to make
I am real, in touch with my feelings and I know my place
You have shown, on the other hand, both sides of your face
I see the world in a different light
Things are always black and white
Through all these years still to this day
My hardened eyes see only shades of grey
I would never try and tell you what was right from wrong
Maybe that's why you feel that I don't belong
Always put me down for things I've said and done
Can't you see it's a war that can't be won
A war that can't be won
Living in your world seems so clear on concise
Shutting out reality makes everything so nice
Paint a pretty picture, black and white everyday
See my tattered canvass bleeding shades of grey
Maybe you're older, wiser in your own right, it's your mistake
I'm gonna do my own thing regardless my choice to make
Shades of fucking grey
Holy moly, the 90's really were a crazy decade for heavy music - I was 14, when suddenly Pantera, Sepultura, Machine Head, Fear Factory or Biohazard brought out masterpieces of albums. Trading audio casettes instead of fucking spotify. Good times, when an album mattered, not only a few singles.
hell yeah🤘🏻
I'm with you on that man, fucking whole album's were bad as hell. I think Biohazard was the best rapmetal band ever...way fucking better than Rage against the machine....Urban Discipline was there best album I believe. I've been to 50 to 75 hardcore shows and the best show I've ever seen was in 1985 at the Orange Show in San Bernardino California, The opening band was the motherfucking CRO MAGS from Brooklyn, NY and they were the baddest fucking band I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot man . On tour with Motorhead, they were on tour with their first album The Age of Quarrel, straight hard core, sooooooo fucking badass, seen Slayer 6 times, Cro Mags were better that night
90s were a great time to have hearing and listen to metal. THE BEST. The 20 years since then is mostly just imitations.
hell yeah 2
@@richardallen3823 Cro Mags Fuck HARD
One of the best videos in hardcore/metal history.
Have seen them live recently several times, old dudes still got it.
I saw them in 95 with slayer and machine head
I was the Cinematograher for this,, Thanks, Still Holds up
@@mrestone respect!!
Biohazard was just the best in those days coming out of NY. Best riffs, best lyrics, best delivery. Absolute beasts.
Saw biohazard with sick of it all in Atlanta back in the day. Still to this day one of the most brutal pits I have been in. Great show!
ruclips.net/video/FSl6J5Rq4x4/видео.html
I'm 31 and just started seriously listening to this band this past year. Heavy.
Saw them open shows a couple times. Not a big fan, but it was fun.
Better late than never
A little too late but yea better late then never
The music lives forever... Urban Discipline still a heavy album
Im 54 now in 2022 i remember IN THE 90S watchin Bio live in NYC. Stage divin mosh pit and all...LOVE THIS BAND.
ruclips.net/video/FSl6J5Rq4x4/видео.html
I'm 46 now. I saw them with NOFX at City Gardens in Trenton, N.J. when I was around s 16. Still one of the greatest spectacles that I've had the opportunity to witness.
Couldn't get enough of this stuff back in the day and there was plenty of it, machine head, suicidal tendencies, helmet as well as the thrash bands and sub genres. Good Times
Yeah man, helmet, and sepultura, paved the ways to my ears for sepultura, slayer, machine head, NIN etc. Sure glad I was born in 83 and not 93. Poor kids
@@NickFortier I was born in ' 69 so I was lucky enough to get that and the great earlier stuff
@@gregthomas1346 shit man, I thought 40 was old ;)
My old man ( stepdad) has a fantastic music collection. I remember when the drummer from his band brought over a nirvana tape, and after that music was a thing for me. I love zeppelin Beatles, cramps, pere ubu, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, music...." rock n roll is just,....rock n roll" AC/DC
The only shades of grey I can stand. Thank you
Well said, lol!
Busta Nuts Interesting presumption
Vanilla assss
80's and 90's music just hit different in all genre's. Rock, metal, rap, punk, country, hip-hop, you name it. Most everything told a story and was relatable. I miss this shit.
Today's snowflake generation couldn't handle 90's music.......they are to busy protesting against cars, turning vegan and not identifying as a human......
Fuck 2023😢
I forgot how much groove this band had. Hell yea
One of the first metal bands I really got into, my step dad had this album and from the first time I heard it I was hooked.
Remembering 1995, me and my walkman, constantly buying new batteries and all around Biohazard..Good old times.
Nice time to be a kid in the biohazard era. Bodycount, biohazard, suicidal tendencies all playing in mtv, radios etc. now we have bieber. Poor kids.
Urban discipline still stands out powerful record! Classic! In my top 5 of all time!!!
The soundtrack for my teenage years. Still brutal!
My geography teacher recommended me this and IT'S REALLY GOOD!!!

The Biohazard "Urban Chaos" tour in 1993 featured Dog Eat Dog, Onyx, and Clutch as opening acts at The Academy in New York City on April 24, 1993
Parris Mayhew directed both "Shades of Grey" and "Slam (Bionyx Remix)", and Drew Stone produced both videos.
Redman, MadBall, Danny Diablo, and 25 Ta Life all made cameos in "Slam (Bionyx Remix)"
CLUTCH!!!
new york finest is back muthafuckhaaaaa!! biohazard foreverrr!!🤘🏽
AWESOME. Classic Biohazard. Doesn't get any better.
one of the biohazards best, one of hardcores best. hope their new album will be at least half that good
Whole bunch of NYHC legends in there man... Freddy Madball, Minus, SOB, Ezec, Rick Ta Life... A great era in Hardcore for sure.
AWESOME TRACK AND ALBUM!! One of the best hardcore albums ever!
Biohazard everytime I listen, I'm amazed how funky, groovy and in-the-pocket the are. Underestimated drummer too.
2024 Immortal ! 🎶❤️🎤👊🏻🙏👏
Boom
Bein a drummer, i can say safely that Danny is one of the best underrated drummers ever 😎🤟
I agree
One of tightest drum sounds ever...
Hell yeah. Danny is one of the most underrated drummers around. The dude has always killed it.

@@simonsabbath1064 Me too.
I really have to agree, that bass line and play style from robert is insane. Great bassist
the best band of hardcore / rap metal
Their first record is true NYHC. Straight up hardcore. Urban discipline is one of the best hardcore records ever. Rapcore, numetal my ASS. Sure they listened to a lot of hip hop, but c'mon are you really comparing them to limp bizkit and Korn? That's nu metal. This is as real as it gets! And all of you complaining about the real hardcore/punk... They've got a bad religion song on urban discipline! DFL!
David Bostijn yeah i hate poser fgt shit but biohazard is real af bro ! 90's CLASSICS !
2 58 right side of Billy SOB merauder
David Bostijn Urban discipline is their second album not there first.
David Bostijn this is not their first record ...
David Bostijn it is hard to find the first 1
Ha, I'm old. Saw Biohazard twice, once after the first album and then when they were puttin out Urban Discipline. Was in the pit live to Shades of Grey and Punishment when I was 15. They used to bring the "DMS crew" with them, who were a bunch of violent assholes, but still had a blast both times I saw them and got away with nothing more than a few knots on my skull, nothing visible. That shit was brutal back then but loved it.
2:35 ...the guy in the background... that's how I enter the office... everyday!!
That guy cracks me up every time I watch this video, dude is wilding out every opportunity he can.
Hahaha

classic N.Y. it's Agnostic Front, Madball, S.O.I.A......
Cro-mags
Brooklyn was the shit when I was growing up. Lamor was sick
Saw them with Pantera and white zombie 2 in Omaha..awesome show..
Biohazard was wsyvahead of their time. Years ahead of the nu-metal garbage. Their previous self-titled album was just as good. Awesome group of guys too. So down to Earth and fun to hang with.
2023 and I'm here again !
Школьные годы. 90'е Biohazard ☣️ ❤
To think these guys made capcom change the name of Biohazard to Resident Evil in North America.
HOLY MOLY! I never knew that - WOW - you learn something every day...GOOD LOOKIN'!
and to think too that evan makes porn movies with his wife tera after that....
well tera surely wasn't the problem
Good data...
Fuck capcom.

They're my bloodline...two days ago live in Prague CZ... great mothafuckin' BIOHAZARD like during 90's.
Still got my CD’s from them. Bad ass music and band.
Thats the song that got me into hardcore around 93/94. I was done with pearl jam and alice in chains. That was the real thing for me!!!!
Same here. This band exposed me to metal/hardcore I'd never listened to before like madball, propain, etc. but also rappers like onyx and cypress hill.
Same guyz. Keep it real till the end. Peace
except it's not hardcore
Piotr B except it is though, they came out of the hardcore scene and got really big and started playing those big metal shows and shit
Piotr B its what....??!
Sickie!!! Miss this time period in my early years! \m/
I'm gonna do my own thing regardless, my choice to make!
И до сих пор мне нравится, что их треки это постоянная смена ритма, ритмики, иногда даже стиля музыки. Это разнообразие не даёт заскучать 🎉🎉🎉
Ends with one of the greatest breakdowns
As much energy as this video puts out there....live this band destroyed back in the day. Saw them at L'Amour in Brooklyn and shit got REAL and quick!
Went there once, and missed the last train back to Philly. Had to stay at Penn Station all night, and it was the weirdest night of my life. So many crazy people doing crazy things, and the cops were so fucked up.
@@DirtyFrankDahmerdamn so dope
@@rico1k It was whack! One cop told my friend that he was gonna murder him because he was smoking a cig in the subway. And then another cop fist fought a dude, right in front of everyone. And I don’t mean that he tried to arrest him, and the guy resisted. I mean, the cop challenged him to a fight, and put down all his gear, and they fist fought like crazy. Also, the same night, I was getting a slice of pizza when suddenly, 2 dudes came flying right through the fucking wall of the pizza place! There was a bar or something on the other side of the wall, and a bouncer was fighting with a drunk, and they completely went through the wall, right into the pizza place! It was nuts. And that wasn’t even everything that happened.
@@DirtyFrankDahmer oh my god that’s so insane. Sorry you had such a crazy experience and got treated terribly that’s so whack!! Was it worth it to see Biohazard in the end?
@@rico1k I actually saw other bands that night, but I’ve seen Biohazard before as well. It was worth the trip. The show was good, and I got to meet the bands and get a signed poster. Unfortunately, some jerk stole my first one, so I had to get another one and ask the band members to sign it again. The 2nd time around, I couldn’t find the one guy, so I only got 4/5 of them. I wish I knew which douche stole it. I put it down to take a piss, and it was gone when I came back. Being stuck there totally sucked, but it was certainly very interesting, and it gave me several weird stories to tell. I wouldn’t wanna get stuck there again, though. Lol. I thought the cop was really going to kill my friend. Not only did he say he always going to, but he grabbed him, and pulled him down stairs, where nobody could see or hear what was going on. When my friend came back up the stairs, he was like “Run, dude, run. We gotta get out of here!” I thought the cops in my city were bad, which they are, but these New York cops were absolute psychos. One time, in my own city of Philly, I was with the same friend (Jim), and the freakin Philly cops started doing “Heil Hitler” to me and him. He’s black.
So glad that they're back.
fucking classic...a true HARDCORE CLASSIC to the good times
I saw this video in prison in '93. Along with cypress hill, da yungsters, onyx and so on. I'd seen them play with the exploited a few years before. At 17 starved of good music I was stoked. What a ride. Still listen to the cd at times. Cheers.
Do you remember the song that they did with Onyx? It was on the Judgement Night soundtrack.
la mejor banda del mundo por siempre
I saw biohazard on this tour, sick of it all played also, that was one of the best shows I've ever seen. during the last song, evan from biohazard told everyone to come up on stage, stage almost collapsed. club owner nearly had a heart attack

I LOVE 90'S GROOVE METAL ATTITUDE
MAHS777 nu metal? This NYHC !
@@angelpereira130 GROOVE METAL.... AS PANTERA (90-2000 ERA), BODY COUNT, MACHINE HEAD, PRONG, SEPULTURA (MAX ERA), CORROSION OF SONFORMITY (KEENAN ERA), EXHORDER, FEAR FACTORY, FIGHT, GRIP INC & BANDS LIKE THAT.
NU METAL IS BANDS AS KORN, DOWNSET, STUCK MOJO, SNOT, COAL CHAMBER, SEVENDUST, P.O.D., KID ROCK (98-2003 ERA), LIMP BIZKIT, LINKIN PARK (FIRST THREE ALBUMS), DROWNING POOL (FIRST TWO ALBUMS), TRAPT, EVANESCENCE, ILL NIÑO & BANDS LIKE THAT.
PERSONALLY, BIOHAZARD IS VERY HARDCORE FOR ANY AVERAGE HARDCORE BAND, THEIR SONGS ARE 3-5 MIN. & HARDCORE BANDS 0-2 MIN., THE BAND HAD APPEARENCES IN BLACK SABBATH TRIBUTE ALBUMS & TOURS WITH EXTREME METAL BANDS AS KREATOR, SLAYER, TYPE O NEGATIVE, MADBALL, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, TERROR, CHIMAIRA, HATEBREED AND OF COURSE, GROOVE METAL BANDS (INVALID FOR HARDCORE BANDS), FINAL POINT.

Nothing wrong with Biohazard. Great band. Seen them playing a lot. Always a party when they come to town. And very very very social toward their fans. A lot of bands can learn from that!!! Seen famous bands playing like shit before. And people still praise them.
