A rapper that loves slayer is a real man that don't give a shit what you think. Mad RESPECT for T.
Yep!!!!!!!!🍻
Cypress Hill said Slayer is who influenced them. They had jamspots right next to each other or close by.
I wish they would cover a Metallica song. I think Ice could pull it off great
When did Ice give a shit about what anyone thinks? He's just one big attitude mother, and rocks!
The 1st minute of raining blood is my favourite thrash anything ever
As a metalhead, I’m proud to know that the legendary Ice-T is one of us….
me too
@@EvelynSucksAtLife
Same here
ONE OF US 💀💀💀
Oh man, didn't you know his work with pro pain in 90s on foul taste of freedom?
Me too!
HOLY Crap, this is by far the best and cleanest Slayer covers I've heard done by anyone. Hail Bodycount!!!!!!!
so you like a racist band hmmm?
@@anamegoeshere Oh, go fart in an elevator.
@@anamegoeshere How is this racist?
@@brianselph1200 many of the music videos of this tard band is WHITE PEOPLE GETTING SHOT OR KILLED, now flip it the other way around and it be "black people" it be racist in a HEARTBEAT.
amen brother
Just proof that Metal doesn't care about colour, race or creed, if Metal is in your blood, you are us, you are Family 🤘
Yup even my lead guitarist in my band is black
YOU ARE US!!!!!!!!!!! IN THE MIDST OF THE METAL/PUNK GODS
So true, not metal but The Bad Brains, Living Colour, it's all a melting pot of influences. Makes us all better.
That's truly beautiful. Despite what some people who aren't into this world might say, that metal is about satanism and evil, metal is all about brotherhood.
well metal is in everyone's blood
Ice-T a real one. He founds a metal band because he knows his homie likes to play the guitar
that is fucking cool.
That’s what’s up
U stupid asf he’s a Fukin Metal Head he fucking lives slayer he said it in interviews slayer is his biggest influence
Literally the definition of bad ass ice this is my favorite version of this song slayer shall be proud to have body count covering this song
Alteady told that himself
This whole cover is fantastic but man, that drummer is so precise.
Just dialed!!
Is it possible to play that song and not wail the f*** out of the drums? I think not.
Actually, insane. what a drummer, the whole band actually.
He fucking killed it!
the drummer is awesome!
Ernie C is one of the unsung, underrated, unappreciated heroes of the guitar... I can't feel nothing but mad respect for Ice-T in the fact that he built Body Count just because of Ernie.
He produced s Black Sabbath album too
Totally have huge respect for Ice T after listening to him mentioning the 3 bands that inspired him and cranking SLAYER,FN awesome
Man that drummer nailed it. Heck..from guitars to vocals, the whole band did an awesome job.
Hi-hat work is sloppy.
Joe Gionti They all nailed it
The two negative comments bullshit
not sure, but the drums actually sound programmed to my ears. the footage from the video certainly isn't what we're hearing in the audio track in any case.
@@milkmanswife93696 Of course how could black musicians be any good right? (Hendrix, Miles Davis). open your mind idiot.
We need to talk about how Ice-T NAILS the vocal performance here. He just KNOWS. And wow these guys just SHRED.
Owen Grover yep he wasn’t lying when he said Slayer was one of his all time faves . Great cover
Honestly, and don’t tell anyone I said this... I almost prefer this version.
@@davidmcguinty576 I do prefer this version. Is really weird to say, but is so fucking awesome
@@felipecarmo5122 LOL...nah. It's good and I respect it but it sound's like a cover, exactly what it's supposed to be. Can't beat an original. It's like playing a Van Halen or Dimebag riff...anyone can learn how to play those riffs but they will never sound exactly like the original.
He killed it
HUGE Slayer fan here. All I can say is HOLY SHIT! Smokin' guitars, brutal drums, great vocals. Wicked cover.
And great production. really thick sounds and great guitar tone
@@HeavyMetalGamingHD well said
Right? They fucking nailed it 🤘
I'm 55 years old and listened to this growing up , that was perfect !
When I went to see Slayer, Tom said this one goes out to Ice-T! I didnt get it until now
I think their respect for each other is a result of an exploited-cover they did together way back in the 90´s....look up slayer/ice-t disorder
Hell Yeah! It's all about the respect! Ice T and Slayer rule
@Franz2099 Ice T did a song with Slayer, too. Disorder
Wow thats awesome!
Kerry King did leads for the Beastie Boys back in the good ol days.
See kids, that's why Ice-T is highly respected rapper by metalheads.
Edit: lmao gatekeepers are so mad
Toornap Tarraa he was also in n one bullet left with six feet under and it meshed very well together it's on the true carnage album
Toornap Tarraa exactly I don’t like rap but ice T is great
plus he's a damn fine detective
lol i was thinking that
Indeed !!!
Why are metal covers just always oozing with love and respect
As a huge slayer fan, bravo. Great cover.
Body Count is No Joke! Saw them when they played Lollapalooza back in 91. After Ice played his set, he just walked around and chilled with the rest of us. Much respect to the O.G.! Metal and Hardcore Rap Rules!
I was at the first Lollapalooza outside of Seattle. Ice came out with Evil E, did a rap set, then B.C. came out and fucked shit up!
As a huge Slayer fan, I have to say "bravo" on this. Excellent cover!
lol, bravo
Fucking Bravo Ice T and Bodycount!!😈😈🤘🤘🤘⚡⚡
Ja,nicht einfach die Könige des Speed- Metal nachzuspielen. 😈
Sehen nach einem Lied schon gut fertig aus! 😂☝️
Aber dennoch Resspekt Body Count!
Omg I have chills
Much love for Body Count for showing Slayer who are the kings of thrash respect
Just goes to show ya, the love of music can make anything happen. Metal is something anyone can embrace if it resonates deep in their soul the way it has with me. I like stuff from other music genres too, but that's always been the one thing I come back to at the end of the day. I've heard alot of it over the years and I have to admit, BC knocks it out of the park everytime. Undying respect to Ice-T, Ernie C and the gang for breaking new ground.
that ..as a metalhead..is literally the best remake ever.. ice t has absolutley the right voice for this. bodycount nailed this
Didn't think Ice-T could pull this off, but I'm blown away. Unreal cover
was totally gonna post that about his voice
EXTREME TALENT!
I was thinking the same thing, ALMOST out Slayering Slayer lol
yea.. love you as Metalhead in Finland..
Ernic C and Ice-T is showing some respect to the metal community, this dudes are an example of a true musicians no matter what your genre is. Godspeed Body Count!
Metal does not involve god dipshit
+Matt
Figure of speech... but some metal music does involve such. If you're open minded enough to acknowledge that.
Ramon Anthony Dela Cruz pfft shut the fuck up these guys actually suck
They're PART of the metal community.
This!
I had the pleasure of seeing Ice T w/ Body Count at the Commodore Ballroom waaaaay back in 91/92. It was killer, and they did Cop Killer
Never fails to give me goosebumps watching this
This is why metalheads love Ice-T. Dude doesn't care about color...just music and people. The whole band nails it, but extra kudos to the drummer for just killing it. Wow \m/
About color? That's why all his band members are black?
They are from south central. What do you expect them to be white Tom Petty looking dudes?
@@angryktulhu am I seeing wrong? Cause they literally got a white dude in there shredding with them
\m/
Doesn't care about color? MY white ASS!! He's all about color if you listen. BUT, I think he's one fking talented dude with alot of ideas, alot of talents from making music of all kinds to acting, and i respect him. I just jammed to this song, and it was as good as any metal i've ever heard. Gonna leave it there. if I saw Ice T on the street, we could have a beer together and bullshit.
This is one of the best covers of Slayer I've heard. Goddamn, the drummer slams. Absolutely fantastic.
@tony gather Slayer doesn't care if you use their name in vain, bro
It's the best I think, these ones get closer Hypocrisy and Delirium X Tremens covering Black magic
Wicked good!
Yeah for sure man, he slays!!!
What? Was the joke that bad?
defenitly not the best , but its just OK , its just cool coz its a rapper who loves and respect Slayer and metal but amature bands did far better covers for Raining blood never the less big metal bands , but i would say , its a really nice gesture from a rapper but i agree about the drummer he is not Lombardo but he nailed it
I’m just NOW hearing this. 💯🔥AF!
This isn't just a cover of Raining Blood. These guys GET IT 🔥
The production on this is fantastic. The engineer should be very proud.
Definetly!
It's Ernie C (the lefty guitar player)
SantomPh it‘s Will Putney. Probably the greatest modern metal producer there is atm
Couldn't agree more m8 !
Aaron Broadmore , rite!?! better than the original!
What a sharp and precise version. Ice-T's voice fits the song with perfection. And there's some insane drumming there too.
You sure about the voice?

Art will never Die
they did well on this for sure
The fact that Ice-T did all this for a friend goes to show how much a top notch guy he is. The history between the two and his respect makes this so much more.
Well, he did it for his friend AND that he loves metal.
His friend has been playing metal with him for more than 30 years though. Body Count was formed 30+ years ago. This song wasn't a 1 off my dude.
My whole point was he did this for a friend. Not to go any other route. This is why I gave my respect to Ice-T and his crew.
Slayer is MY FAVORITE BAND AND ALWAYS WILL BE! They absolutely nailed this one. It's one of the best covers I have ever listened to. ICE T ROCKS!!!!!!

chewynickerson Ice t always been about his paper.
I seen Body Count in Toronto, Canada on December 21, 1992 at the Concert Hall Theater.

COPKILLER!!!
That hit me real deep inside. As a Graybeard Metal Head, I approve of this message.
Fuck Yeah!!!
I wonder if Ice-T ever walked on the set of Law & Order: SVU and said to his cast mates, "Hey, check out this song I just recorded."
Rite 😂😂🤣🤣
Given that he's probably friends with most of his cast mates, that's probably happened.
BODY COUNT has a video with the blonde actress from SVU from their latest release!!!!!
@@scottmcgibeny 🤤
"Hey guys i just recorded a song called cop killer!"
thanks brothers from greece
Fuck Yeah, shit gets colder and colder every time i watch it, one of the greatest covers/videos of all time!
I love how tight they are playing this song! I can actually hear each note without an overload of distortion and the bass is clear, too.
I like Slayer, but i think Body Count's version of Reign in blood is better sonically. Especially the guitar solo and how heavy and clean the bass and drumming is.
Yeah the technology finally caught up to the brutality
The whole idea of thrash metal was to sound as dirty as they could with the time technology. If you ever listen the separate tracks from the original raining blood record, you'll see one, specifically for noise, that contains something similar to a white noise mixed with what sounds like vinyl scratch or static, and, there's another track that is just the rain sound and thunders. They were put there intentionally ;) Also, the distortion and equalization, and the recording setup, were made to sound "thrashier", and the kick and snare in Lombardo's drum, sounded dirtier and more distorted than in Hell Awaits, a previous record made with less resources.
I just wanted to listen to Body Count. I went on RUclips. Now I see this. Fuck yeah!
The only thing that sucks about this is that I can only like it once. Absolutely killer
I’m actually impressed. His voice fits.
Respect BC and Ice T
this is why we metalheads genuinely love ice-T .. hell yeah
Your time slips awayyyyyyyyyyyyy. Raining bloooodd. This is priceless.

Fucking ice t doing slayer wow thats fucking great

Geof Tate thats right it kills the whole racial bullshit dont matter if there black or white good music is good music I dig Ice T rapping and him with body count playing metal im not into the rap they play on the radio or the mainstream shit that goes for metal to not into the top 40 metal I like the forbidden shit lol!!....... still trying to find out who the drummer is cuz he bangs hard the whole band is tight af!!!
erik wallin. Exactly, i dont like the whole rap scene, i do like rap metal here and there.( but nothing mainstream, id rather listen to stuff off the grid......i agree with you).I encourage people to play metal ( old school especially) around their kids so they can hear what its like to play an actual musical instrument ( not a song that samples all the old bands THEN calls it their own, who the fuck cant do that LMAO)
Ice T done vocals with Tom on Disorder from Undisputed Attitude. They toured together back then aswell and apparently got along well, this somewhat backs that up I guess.
Geof Tate right all my kids 4 in total 16-2 all listen to the good stuff I meen they can listen to what they want and like what they like but it don't hurt to kinds point them in my direction lol

Ben Shandrow I think this guy...meant that the drummer was very good ??
Gerald, you win. Is that what you want to hear? That only you have the best musical ear and taste? The guys was simply stating that he thought this guy was good. There tight as fuck who is this drummer man he hits hard there all on point
Exactly. Pretty amazing since these songs are from Dave Lombardo's era, and he nailed them. :)
Probably Ill Will if this cover is recent : facebook.com/WillDorseyjr/
Breathtaking job on some the fastest drum beats ever composed.
I also noticed that the drums were perfect. :)
Spot on drumming, esp the double bass! Awesome to see Body Count still at it, been a fan since their first album in 92...It was released spring of my senior year in highschool...good memories from way back in the day
The drummer is 'Ill Will' (Will Dorsey Jr)
I generally have to agree. He's a good drummer! But in the original version Dave Lombardo plays double time on the ride after the first break. You can hear and see, that BCs drummer doesn't do it. Besides this, his drums seem to be heavily triggered. Think about it. To compare, watch some life scenes from Lombardo playing this. Older or newer, it doesn't matter much.
I'm a big Lombardo fan, you might have noticed ;). Give a try to his others bands. In first Grip Inc. Hands up for both: Slayer and Body Count!
Metal head here, massive respect to Ice-T for this. Like massive respect.
Nailed it!!!!!
I always give Ice T props but no anger or hatred in his voice.
Ice T is a legend man. Body Count was amazing, I remember being so shocked to discover he was the frontman😱
Body Count is far from "was" man. They are releasing new albums every year or two. Each one better than the last.
Damn this gave me fn chills. Major props to that drummer for recording real drums w/no samples or programmed drums. That's why they stand out and you can feel it when he's playing real drums. i Ice-T has always been under-rated. Probably because he can't be put in one category orgenre.
Who the fuck underrates Ice T!? Body Count maybe, but Ice-motherfucking-T? That guy had already legendary status when he founded Body Count back in the 90s.
@Veavictis Asmadi I meant he is under-rated and doesn't get as much credit as he deserves for what he's done in the rock/metal world.
@@MdhLV Oh okay, that might be true. Sadly, many metalheads would not even consider checking him out because they know him as a rapper. Never understood why anyone would treat his gerne of music like a religion or why one would limit himself to a single gerne in the first place.
