Her reaction didn't fail 🤣This was from Prince's concert movie "Sign o the times" which was an anti nuclear war album. The albums single was the song "sign o the times' Which Prince sings about the issues of war & governments. That's why when you see the word "love and sex" behind Prince there's a peace sign in the letter "O" Prince's meanings truly had triple entendrues & his words were never surface level. Prince was very sexually expressive but the way Prince looked at sex was "It has to be beautiful if God made it. It's spiritual union i sing about" Sometimes a lot of Prince casuals will think he's on the same level as Rick James or Usher with his sexuality but Prince literally doesn't have ONE song demeaning women. Not ONE and that says a lot from a man who has literally thousands of songs. However sometimes it could be Prince's fault when people misunderstood what he sung about. Just because he was so bold & a true Gemini lol The lyrics to this song for example is so forward thinking. However if you want something overtly spiritual i high recommend these live reactions.

One of the greatest songs ever written. If that got you flustered, you should check out earlier Prince performances/songs like his performance of I Wanna Be Your Lover/Head from the Parade tour in Detroit (or, maybe you shouldn’t. Haha!). This performance is from the Sign O the Times concert film. I highly recommend that you check out the whole concert film. Another one of my favorites from this film is “Forever in My Life/It.” It’s another great song and the back up vocals actually come before his lead at some points. @Hannah for many of us Prince has no equal.... he could play every instrument, as well as the best who ever did it, sang like few others, and write everything not just for himself but for numerous artists most known and unknown. If you want to see him at the peak of his powers watch his films Purple Rain and Sign of the Times, and look for his clips of "america: he did in the EU, also his piano medley he did in concert again in the EU, as well as "It;s going to be a beautiful night" all which will make your mouth gape not just as HIM but how tight he had the entire group on stage. hope you go down the rabbit hole it will help you love music 10x more. The way he was singing he was being one of his many characters he sang as. This one was Camille. A lot of his earlier stuff from 70s-90s was a little raunchy and sexual. One of my favorite performances was his Superbowl halftime show in 2007.
The interesting thing about this song is the take. He is saying if i wasnt yout man but was your bestie, would u tell me the things you only tell your nestie, would we do the same things, share the things you only share with your friend. He wants to get closer to his girl then just being a boyriend
diving in Prince will take a lifetime. Prince was very spiritual, always believed in God and after the year 2000 became a JW. from this very concert (and album) there is a great song called 'The Cross' which i think you will love. The album sign of the times is a masterpiece
Also the B-Side of "We Are The World" was his song "4 The Tears In Your Eyes" which is about Jesus.

Prince was a complicated guy. many years ago a critic described him as a man witt his d*** in one hand and the bible in the other.. it's a crude description but an interesting one
Be sure to catch Cream, Get Off and Kiss. I remember dancing to P*ssy Control at clubs back in the 90s. I miss that man. 💜💜💜

You should listen to Prince doing The Cross from the same Sign O The Times movie. Its a beautiful and heart-felt song that morphs into a full on stadium rock song.

Lol told you Sir Nelson (I'm guna steal that sir nelson btw) is for adults. This is actually kinda tame for Prince when he wants to seduce 😊. Ahead of its time, the song delves into the idea of wanting to be so close to someone, being so in love with that person, that the things best friends share are part of the relationship. Picking out clothes, being a confidant, washing each others hair, etc.etc.
What's funny is that this is a shortened cleaner version. The album version is a little more provocative on the outro.

Prince is amazing 💜 Nobody has more talent 💜 😍 This song has been sampled a bunch most notably Jay-Z and Beyonce Bonnie and Clyde 2003. This is one of my top 5 fav Prince songs. For a change of pace you should check out Let's Go Crazy for sone rock/funk.

Prince was a Jesus freak who had one foot in the sexual and one foot in the sensual and became more conservative when he got older. I think he was always conservative at heart but knew that freakiness and sex would sell to get his star across.

Michael Jackson is great , however , his small amount of solo albums (10 ) make it easier to name a top 10 , 20 , etc. Prince STARTS with his 39 studio releases.
