    Is sounds like idle air control valve or have you changed the plugs in it Sounds like a bad feel pump or bad feel injectors Or a dirty throttle body

    seems to be the primary fuel pump, it uses both fuel pumps when it´s starting and then switches to using just the primary, and if the primary is broken it will shut down.

    Sounds like lack of fuel. Listen for the fuel pump to prime when you turn the key? Just went on some 2001 forums and apparently a bad primary fuel pump and/or clogged fuel filter is a common problem with LT5s. Spark is ok? Fuel pressure specs should be between 40-47 when running. Old gas in there?

    Sounds like a fuel delivery issue based on the extended crank

    My 93 is in the shop now. It starts and then stops. They called me today and said it's the distributor/ throttle body needs to be replace. Cost is over $1100.00

      hope they checked fuel pressure first. Could be ignition related I guess.@@derrickadams3908

      Swap an ignition module in. Very likely. Check fuel pressure if you can.

      Went to good ole harbor freight. Fuel pressure tester shows 5 psi! Jumped fuel pumps and still 5 psi. Fuel filter next then I’ll do the pump. Kinda doubt it’s the filter.

      fuel pump. You only have 1 to replace on the L98

    I have the same priblem

    • @gregs_garage
      @gregs_garage  2 года назад

      get a fuel pressure kit at harbor freight. If it doesn't show 35-40 PSI with the key on you likely have dead pumps.
      See my other videos about the FIX.
