The perspective on speed of light can be seen so good here. Its feels so unreal that the beam exactly follows your hand like you're holding a long stick in ur hand and moving around.
So crazy to feel the speed of light.

Basically a mile long light saber let's be real.
Fun fact: Light sabers in real life would actually look like this. There is no way to control a pure beam of light to just stop. A true lightsaber - as in a pure beam of light would be endlessly long
@@AWSimDrifter Imagine luke just casually swinging light saber and an entire deathstar cut into pieces 200 light years away
@@AWSimDrifter hacksmiths channel was able to create something similar to what we see in the star wars franchise using plasma. I forgot how they controlled the length of the "blade" but I think it was determined by the gas they used to produce the shape - the end kinda just fades

I remember when I was a child, asking my dad about the speed of light, he put it like this, " if you had a flashlight that was powerful enough to go around the world, and there were no obstructions in the way of the beam, when you turned the flashlight on, the beam would go around the world and hit you in the back before you could step outta the way.. blew my mind as a child, and still does to this day.
No, the earth doesn't curve the beam of light enough. It would just shine into space.
@@thajobe4623 I'm sure you get my point tho, right?
@@denverscott37 Yes, in terms of the speed of light. And if using some sort of optical cable to direct the light it could actually work. (Althouh, the speed of light in other materials can be different.)

Buddy! So mint! When I was young, my Uncle was a Firefighter and had some rad flashlights. I don't know if his best one was one of theirs, but it looked like the light was shining on the Moon lol. I have an Acebeam W30, looks almost identical in specs, LEP flashlights are so damn cool. I got the 95CRI version so it's a lot warmer than the standard cool whites, it looks exactly like a beam of sunlight at night. the fog really enhances the perceived quality of the flashlight
Like
That "fog" is just atmosphere. Not actually fog.
@@mrarivv0007 Fog can be thick or thin. It appears when water vapor, or water in its gaseous form, condenses. During condensation, molecules of water vapor combine to make tiny liquid water droplets that hang in the air. Please explain how 'atmosphere' better explains what's happening in the video. Are you claiming this phenomenon is caused by atmospheric nuclei?
Honestly even without the fog you can easily see the beam at night.
