My grandparents married on Halloween. 🎃
My grandpa grows a long fence of gourds every year. They’re about ready for the Farmers Market now. It’s his hobby to get out of the house and socialize.
He also dries some to cut holes in for bird houses, so we have a lot of wrens flying around the garden during summer eating bugs off the kitchen garden plants.
We also grow Spider Mums in the garden, which repel some pests. They’re a lot more interesting than the plain big box store Mums.
