Sorry, my first reply was a bit harsh, I retract what I said earlier on. Don't keep asking. Just make your animation, make it a short, don't overdo it, and then when finished (if you finish), post it, credit and show it to this guy. Maybe he likes it, maybe he doesn't, but at least let your OWN CREATIVE MIND run it's course. Don't let others get in the way of your own creativity. Just don't bluntly copy anyone else 100% and call it 'creativity because you chose blue instead of white', or 'I made an entirely original character called Sonicchu because I merged Sonic and Pikachu together and that's entirely original' (it's not). If you want to use this audio (or even just snippets of it), I'd say, go for it. Be sure to credit this vid in your description and you'll be all set. Good luck! ^^
Would it be possible to one day see deconstructions of the Sonic Drift series soundtracks? 2 especially has some wonderful tracks that I'd love to try arranging, but I struggle to pick out the harmony channels a lot of the time, so something isolating them would be great! Love the content regardless, the inclusion of piano rolls especially
Good call on not showing the "echo tracks"; that would have just made things messy. But I am a little sad we didn't get to see that "descending" part you can hear at 3:30 (and elsewhere). Or was that part of the percussion track?
You know what I was thinking? I was thinking of a specific theme for a specific music. Like Sonic 3 Drowning with Hydrocity Zone Act 2 theme, with all instruments corresponding with Hydrocity Zone Act 2 with the main melody and stuff, but still have the same layout as the original Sonic 3 Drowning theme. Does this make any sense to you?
