    Hi! At 2:57 it looks like you are adding the stitch marker and casting on the new stitches on the wrong side of the piece---or do I just forget about right side/wrong side when making this sweater? Thanks!

    • @subtleknits
      @subtleknits  8 месяцев назад +1

      Yes you are actually going to cast on stitches for one sleeve on the wrong side and another sleeve on the right side of the work.. It doesn't really matter since it is garter stitch..

  • @stephaniemcdaniel1830
    @stephaniemcdaniel1830 7 месяцев назад +2

    After completing first 2 rows, you say to continue in garter stitch. Do you continue to slip the first stitch of the additional rows going forward or was it for just rows 1 and 2?

      Hi there, it is absolutely ok to make mistakes in knitting. It happens with me all the time. What you can do is you can go back and frog your work all the way back to the the part from where we started knitting for the front panel.
      OR
      If you will you can just leave it and repeat the same mistake on the other panel and call it a day 😊.But make sure your sleeves are equal on both the front and back side.
      I hope you understood and please let me know which solution you took.
      Have a great day😊

      @@aarzibhagya Best of luck to you. When you are a beginner, there are many challenges while knitting. When I was just learning to knit I couldn't differentiate between a Knit st and Purl st. And when others did it so easily, I felt like wow how can they know that? 😊 When I look back at it I fell so amateur, but as you continue to do it, you will start getting sense of everything.
      And you will one day reach that status. I trust you. And you can definitely knit this Kimono. Because it's so easy. And if you have any problem just comment to find the solution. I am here for you 😇.
      If you are feeling overwhelmed, just take a break from it and restart.

      I think she was saying that an option is to put the stitches you are ignoring on another needle. She did short rows instead, in other words knit the 15, turn the work so that you are ignoring the others and just knit and turn for the appropriate amount of length.

    • @caliopesdarnkness6711

      This part begins at 7:33

    • @caliopesdarnkness6711
      @caliopesdarnkness6711 9 месяцев назад

      So knit 15 stitches after the marker that separates the body from the sleeve. The panels are done as short rows ( knit 15, turn, knit the sleeve and the 15, for 5 rows) and you ignore for now the rest of the body stitches.

    • @caliopesdarnkness6711
      @caliopesdarnkness6711 9 месяцев назад +2

      It's understandable to think you missed her placing the rest of the body stitches on a holder, because she mentioned it as a method but didn't actually slip them onto a holder.
