എറണാകുളം,കലൂർ -കറുകപ്പിള്ളി യിൽ ഉള്ള ഞാനും എന്റെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും 4 തവണ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട് ഈ റൂട്ടിലൂടെ, പരിചയമുള്ള സുഹൃത്തുക്കളൊക്കെ ഇതിലേ നടന്നു വരെ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട് ഒരുകൊല്ലം മുൻപ് ഒരാൾ നടന്നു പോയിരുന്നു..അവസാനമായി ഞങ്ങൾ ബൈക്കിൽ 5-6 കൊല്ലം മുമ്പ് ആണ് പോയത് അതിന് മുൻപ് ഞങ്ങൾ സ്‌പ്ലെണ്ടർ ബൈക്ക് വരെ കൊണ്ട് പോയിട്ടുണ്ട്...അതൊക്കെ ഒരുകാലം 😍😍 ഹിമാലയൻ ടൂർ ഒക്കെ പിന്നീട് ഞങ്ങൾ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട് എങ്കിലും ഈ റൂട്ട് നല്ല റൂട്ട് ആണ് എപ്പോഴും പോകാൻ തോന്നാറുള്ള റൂട്ട് ആണ്. ഇതാണ് റൂട്ട്... മൂന്നാർ -ടോപ് സ്റ്റേഷൻ - വട്ടവട -മലകയറി -ക്ലാവറ -പൂണ്ടി -കൊടൈക്കനാൽ....
ഒന്നര വർഷം മുൻപ് 2 മണിക്കൂർ നിന്ന് പെയ്ത മഴയിലൂടെ 6 മണിക്കൂർ 15 മിനിറ്റ് എടുത്ത് ഞാൻ നടന്ന് തീർത്ത വഴികൾ , അത് ഒരു നിമിത്തം ആയിരുന്നു പൂപ്പാറയിലെ മണ്ണിടിച്ചിലിൽ കുടുങ്ങേണ്ടിയിരുന്ന ഞാൻ ഒരു വെളിപാട് പോലെ ഞാൻ കൊടൈക്കനാലിലേക്ക് എക്സ്കേപ് റൂട്ട് വഴി നടന്നത് 🤔🤔

Hai Yasin എന്റെ പേര് ഷഹ്നാസ് , എതാണ്ട് 2007 മുതൽ 2011 വരെ മുന്നാർ, കാന്തല്ലൂർ, വട്ടവട, കൊട്ട കമ്പൂർ എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ Survey work കൾ ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള ഒരു വ്യക്തിയാണ് ഞാൻ. ഞാനും എന്റെ സഹോദരീ ഭർത്താവും കൂടി നടത്തിയിരുന്ന Land Survey Company യുടെ 90% work കളും ഈ പറഞ്ഞ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ആയിരുന്നു . അന്ന് , യൂക്കാലിപ്റ്റസ് മരങ്ങൾ മുറിച്ച് കൊണ്ടുവരാനായി. Body ഇല്ലാത്ത 4 wheel drive Jeep കൾ ഉപയോഗിക്കുമായിരുന്നു. അത്തരം ഒരു Jeep ൽ ഞങ്ങൾ പോയിട്ടുണ്ട് ആ വഴിക്ക് . നടന്നും പോകാം. മലഞ്ചരുവിൽ കൂടി ഊർന്ന് ഇറങ്ങി ഒരു Adventurous trucking. ധാരാളം ആളുകൾ പോകുന്നുണ്ട്. ഞങ്ങളുടെ കൂടെ Lockal ആൾക്കാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ധാരാളം ചെറുപ്പക്കാരുടെ സ്വപ്നമാണ് (യാത്ര ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്ന ) അതുവഴി കൊടൈക്കനാൽ പോകുന്നത്. Yasar ന്റെ വീഡിയോ Delete ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് മുൻപ് ഞാൻ കണ്ടിരുന്നു. എന്തായാലു സമ്മതിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇനി വേറൊരു Root ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു തരാം. മൂന്നാറിൽ നിന്നും മാട്ടുപെട്ടി കുന്തള ഡാമിൽ കൂടി വനത്തിനുള്ളിലേക്ക് പോകുക. നേരെ മെത്താപ്പ് വഴി കാന്തല്ലൂർ ചെയ്യാം. Very Adventurous ride ആയിരിക്കും. Forest cheek post ഉണ്ട് വണ്ടി നമ്പരും പേരും എഴുതിയ ശേഷം നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കടന്നു പോകാം. കൊടൈക്കനാൽ പോകുന്ന വഴി പോലെ അല്ല , അതു ക്കും മേലെ. Four wheel drive Jeep മാത്രമെ അതു വഴി പോകുകയുള്ളൂ. ഇപ്പോൾ അതുവഴി കടത്തി വിട്ടുമോ എന്നറിയില്ല. കാന്തല്ലൂർ കൊടൈക്കനാൽ proposed road ഇതു വഴിയാണ്. നല്ല ഒരു Experience ആയിരിക്കും

We have travelled this route from top station to BERIJAM 1997 . We were in three bikes , I think we started around 1.00 pm one localite told us it will take only one hour to reach Kodai.We saw lots of wild buffalo and few deers. Anyway we couldn’t reach check post even at 6.00 pm in mean time one of our bikes chain got broken then we push the bike around 15 min for gods sake we saw the check post. The guys over there really good, helped us and gave food. So from there they told us it’s only 24 km to kodai so from there we six guys in two bikes to kodai…..

Escape route and farmers route are different. Escape route starts from Pampadumshola to Berigam lake which is no more motor-able but trekkeble under Kerala and TN forest dept combined unlike the farmers route which is still used by the local farmers.

3 years ago while staying in dream valley resort I went this route and covered 5kms.The view was excellent with small fruit farms,I got bananas,passion fruit and grapes from a local man for free.Land slide stones and mud were not removed from that route which made the drive tougher.local people and jeeps were there and they warned me to go back as I drove an etios cross.The drive is still a memorable one
the one you went through is the Farm road and not the escape road. The farm road runs somewhat parallel to the escape road and is used by farmers mainly.

Dear friend I cant understand malayalam but i think you are talking about the route from Kadaikkanal to Munar by the shortest route starting from madhikettan cholai via berry jam lake. Back in 1997 after getting permission from the chief forest officer od tamil nadu forest department i tried to go via that route. The problem was the road aftet berrijam lake was in a terrible shape and so i had to abandon the trip. I had i the year 1978 have travelled in the route from kadaikanal to Munar during the south indua rally by Jawa. Very thick forest and haunting and beautiful route a distance of 96 km.with 36 hairpin bends. I still wonder why they closed the route.

We have travelled this route from top station to BERIJAM 1997 . We were in three bikes , I think we started around 1.00 pm one localite told us it will take only one hour to reach Kodai.We saw lots of wild buffalo and few deers. Anyway we couldn’t reach check post even at 6.00 pm in mean time one of our bikes chain got broken then we push the bike around 15 min for gods sake we saw the check post. The guys over there really good, helped us and gave food. So from there they told us it’s only 24 km to kodai so from there we six guys in two bikes to kodai…..

Escape route and farmers route are different. Escape route starts from Pampadumshola to Berigam lake which is no more motor-able but trekkeble under Kerala and TN forest dept combined unlike the farmers route which is still used by the local farmers.

We done this route 5 years back. Very thrilling n scaring..
3 years ago while staying in dream valley resort I went this route and covered 5kms.The view was excellent with small fruit farms,I got bananas,passion fruit and grapes from a local man for free.Land slide stones and mud were not removed from that route which made the drive tougher.local people and jeeps were there and they warned me to go back as I drove an etios cross.The drive is still a memorable one
the one you went through is the Farm road and not the escape road. The farm road runs somewhat parallel to the escape road and is used by farmers mainly.

I cant understand malayalam but i think you are talking about the route from Kadaikkanal to Munar by the shortest route starting from madhikettan cholai via berry jam lake. Back in 1997 after getting permission from the chief forest officer od tamil nadu forest department i tried to go via that route. The problem was the road aftet berrijam lake was in a terrible shape and so i had to abandon the trip. I had i the year 1978 have travelled in the route from kadaikanal to Munar during the south indua rally by Jawa. Very thick forest and haunting and beautiful route a distance of 96 km.with 36 hairpin bends. I still wonder why they closed the route.
so which is the 14 km long route that connects Kodai & Munnar? they said it is the original British era escape route.
