      It’s definitely a Favre thing to say, but to be fair, 3 out of 4 receivers were WIDE open. Only whoever was on the far sideline and the running back were covered.
      Although…lol a good case could be made that he threw to the least open of the three that were open.

      Favre thinks everybody is open and just bombs away. Whatever happens happens.
      Rodgers didn't feel like taking the safe first down and just made a fool of good coverage.

      It's because he's The Gunslinger, known for forcing the ball down field and trying to score on every play with his cannon whether the receiver is open or not and Aaron just slung that thing into triple coverage in the tightest window for a touchdown while every other receiver was wide open. It was a true Gunslinger throw, leaving The Gunslinger speechless.

      He actually has thrown quite a few of those. One was against Philly, went right between the defenders arms and into the receivers. 2nd was against Dallas, same thing. Dude knows when to throw it and where.

      He really wasn't ignoring it. I think its more of an issue with the format. Its like half commentary and half interview with nobody in the same room. So you'll have a Manning ask a question to the guest then when they are answering then the other Manning cut them off to comment on the game and its just kind of awkward for the guest. Then you have guys like Russell Wilson try to jump in and do some color commentary but Peyton would jump in and talk over him each time. Its a little awkward, but I think that's part of the charm.

    It's kind of adorable how much Payton loves football. You can tell he just enjoys watching it and talking about it and studying it, it's great to see honestly.
    A lot of players finish their careers being kinda bored of the but he's still there llke a 12 year old with his ball in his hand going "woah did you see that!"

      What's sad, as a Packers fan, is that it feels normal.
      Between the Bart Starr & Brett Favre years we looked for any hope. Then 30 years of HOF QB'ing makes it all seem like any other week.

      I've replayed this many times. How in the world does someone even see that as an option? When Rodgers threw the ball Tonyan was well covered. He basically is predicting exactly where everyone will be seconds before they are there and putting the ball exactly where it needs to go considering where the defender body space will take up and Tonyan catchable range. Unbelievable.

    That was a timed route all the way. The ball left Aaron's hand when the receiver was about at the 12 yard line and was still in the middle of his cut, wearing his defender on his left shoulder pad. He caught the ball at about the 3. They practiced that one a few times. Beautiful plays like this are what make football spectacular to watch.

    The route by the tight end is underrated too. He beats the linebacker’s inside leverage with an outside release, then allows the seam route to bleed back inside to get in between the high safeties.

      nah. He was heavily covered. That's what makes the throw so amazing, Rodgers chose the hardest read and threw the ball PRECISELY in the only place and time where it could ever be for it to be caught.

    There are still some issues they need to work out with this broadcast. Nothing too bad. But it could be a little smoother...
