    Not only does Rodgers have a cannon for an arm, but he's deadly accurate, able to run, able to avoid multiple sacks in the backfield due to his agility and awareness, and is unmatched when it comes to throwing off balance. He's also one of the best (If not the best) at drawing opponents offsides for free plays, and is always catching too many players on the field. Brady has more rings, but it doesn't make him the better individual player. Brady has a couple of these traits, but no one in the history of the NFL has combined them all like Rodgers has.

      That's true. I grew up in late 80s early 90s and can still remember the days of Don "The Magic man" Majkowski, Tony Mandarich, and Chris Jackie. Where an 8/8 season was considered good for us. I wonder about what will happen once Rodgers retires. Will we fall back into obscurity ? I'm too spoiled now to go back to being mediocre.

    • @basketballaddict2885
      @basketballaddict2885 5 лет назад +12

      How does talent determine greatness? If that’s the case then Micheal Vick is a top 3 QB all time. Rodgers is a toxic teammate and a poor leader, that’s why he’s only won one super bowl and has had limited success. He’s a waste of a talent. He doesn’t use his brain. Instead of throwing the ball away while under pressure, he rolls out and tries to make some amazing play, then he gets sacked and everyone looks at the offensive line. He doesn’t elevate his teammates either. Great quarterbacks make their receivers look better than they actually are. Rodgers doesn’t do that. Rodgers isn’t even clutch too. He has a few clutch moments but Jay Cutler has more fourth quarter comebacks than he does. He’s a wasted talent in my opinion.

    • @MrDavidGlu
      @MrDavidGlu 5 лет назад +21

      @@basketballaddict2885 And this right here boys is the delusion that the sheep fans of the NFL believe because that is what is preached over and over on sports networks to have more people follow their agenda. It's not like Rodgers trying to keep the play going instead of throwing it away, like you suggested, is making the team any worse. Why not try to make something happen? That decision making isn't resulting in turnovers, clearly. Still the highest TD/INT ratio in history by a long shot. One of the lowest, if not the lowest, average interception per season. And clutch? You clearly don't watch Packers games if you actually think he isn't clutch. And don't be using 4th quarter comebacks as a stat either. Jay Cutler had more 4th quarter comebacks because he was always losing to begin with. The sample size of games where a 4th quarter comeback was possible is significantly higher for Cutler than Rodgers.

    • @basketballaddict2885
      @basketballaddict2885 5 лет назад +2

      David Gluhaich Why risk losing yards just for one highlight play? I understand that your supposed to try to extend a play. A spectacular rarely happens, especially if the defense is good. So if the play isn’t going to work, don’t risk losing more yards and just get rid of the ball. Rodgers throws the ball away at the wrong time. Last year he broke the record for the most throw aways with 59. His offensive line regressed, but the reason he threw it away was because he was afraid to throw it deep or throw it into contested coverage because he didn’t want to be intercepted. If you watch his film you will see. Sometimes he will pass on deep throws and just throw it away. I don’t see how a touchdown to interception ratio defines greatness. Rodgers has the best ratio over his career. Behind him are Russell Wilson, Tom Brady, and Colin Kaepernick and Derick Carr.... How could Kap and Carr be up there? For the highest ratio in a season we have Tom Brady in first, with Nick Foles, Josh McCown, and Damon Huard... Besides Brady, Wilson, and Rodgers, are any of those quarterbacks great? No. Now for fourth quarter comebacks the top 20 only have 2 players that are not hall of fame quarterbacks. The top 3 are Peyton, Brady and Brees. Can you give me one great moment in his career where he’s lead his team to a victory in an important game? Not a regular season game, a playoff game. Like last year in the Super Bowl and in Kansas City Tom Brady led his team to victory. There are tons of other examples with other great quarterbacks. Despite the fact that Rodgers is a bad teammate, he doesn’t get along with coaches, and he can’t elevate his teammates, you still think he is the goat? I find that crazy.

    Didn't watch as I'm sure it's filled with highlights against my Bears. There was a game 3 or 4 years ago, against Dallas or Detroit - may have been the Dez catch playoff game. Nelson was in the slot and just ran straight down field on a timing throw meant to hit between the 2nd and third level. AR threw a pass that was TOO perfect. Just as Nelson cleared the LB and started to turn around, the ball bounced off his shoulder pad, incomplete. shu s clearly referencing the NFC championship game where he played fine and the defense let mostert rush for 220 yards. That’s the thing is that Rodgers has always carried them, when he got injured 2 years ago we missed the playoffs Brady has always had a top ten defense and good players it’s all about the culture in New England. Last year was basically the first time he didn’t have a top 15 reciever core and he was pretty meh unlike Rodgers where the packers haven’t drafted a reciever in the first round since like 2008 or something and they weren’t even good

      because Green Bay relies on his playmaking ability within a Battleship Offense which was there before he became the starter.For Rodgers in his mind he feels he has to everything if he doesn't have to... Any QB mind would be running in many places if they were running this Offense every week due the fact it's bland overall when does have to drop back and throw with inconsistent play calling though I guess Rodgers gets some blame missing some reads and overthrowing or underthrowing The ball to his Receivers.

    388 Touchdowns, only 86 interceptions. He has had only TWO seasons where he threw 10 or more interceptions, one being his first year starting.
    Touchdown : Interception ratio of 4.5:1 . Only two seasons with fewer than 28 touchdowns. Only two seasons under 4,000 passing yards. 16 fourth-quarter comebacks, 24 game-winning drives.

    While all the physical gift/decision-making is absolutely there and everyone talks about it, I think the mental fortitude Rodgers has is not talked about enough. Many of his best plays are right after he takes a sack/a play breaks down/a pass is almost picked. To come back after a mistake or a loss and STILL be unshaken, if not fired up even more, is huge. Not only for himself, but for his team. The game is never out of reach, even with only 37 seconds left
