😂 When you said "lift free", I heard "lint free" and I thought "what the heck? How!?" 😂

Those 10 min cleaning sprints while the girls are sleeping are what my friends call a "tiny tidy". 😂😊

I use "lazy" too as a joke, but I think it's more accurate to say "efficient." I was just watching Dana K. White on a decluttering video and she said, "What in here is EASY?" I think that translates to a lot of areas of life, not just our physical space. As you point out, one of the goals is to conserve energy. Doing what's easy, helps that.
I think the trigger jar / Migraine Threshold concept is really important to understand. It explains why you can tolerate some things on one day and not on another: because your jar is full.
It's so true about lights and sounds! I have a YT playlist of pleasant "background" music: soft piano, acoustic guitar, etc. Nothing with lyrics.
My go-to gear for being out or going into a store is ear plugs, (WeatherX, but I also have those loop ones) Theraspec migraine glasses for inside, (& large, very dark sun glasses, the kind that fit over prescription glasses for outside) and a baseball cap. I always use a shopping cart to put my purse/bag in, so I don't have to carry it, even if I'm not getting many things. The shopping cart also helps me stay steady when walking. I think the hardest thing is that even wearing a mask doesn't stop fragrances, and that will trigger me like nothing else--"natural" or not.

Love this video! Even though my kids aren’t toddlers anymore, this is still very relatable. Screen-free brain activities that I’ve always loved are jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, crosswords, and sketching. When my kids were little, we’d just tape huge sheets of mural paper to the hardwood floor and sketch with crayons or markers. It was very risk-free for the kids and a great way to engage (I would name and draw shapes, etc, and they would colour them in). I could kind of lie down for it too, so it didn’t feel so tedious.

Lol. Me, here, watching this on my phone with headphones while my preschooler is sitting near me going "beep bop beeep bbeeep boop" as he has been doing for the last hour. I wish loops had headphones, not just ear plugs.

Wow, I did not know about migraine threshold theory. Thanks for that one Jen. I work in IT, and I do wear my migraine glasses daily to work. Sometimes I'm a bit embarrassed, and turn off my camera for video chats, but they have increased my migraine incidence drastically. I used to play video games, and one of the modifications I've had to make for my migraines is replacing video games with board games.

You're welcome! Good thing you have the glasses. I'm also way more into board games now but hadn't connected it. Great tip!

“Accommodations” for your needs is a better word than lazy. Good luck and have fun with those cuties. How is your hubby doing with this new journey with the patches?

Very interesting idea about the trigger jar. Missed meals, late caffiene intake, stress, or food triggers can certainly lead to a migraine. I can almost feel them comming before they do based off the days events or various triggers. Great video thanks

I really appreciate how excited you are to share things that help you with your migraines. I can feel the love and support you send us viewers in every video, and I hope you feel the love and support we send you. ❤❤
I don't have migraines or kids, but I do get both cluster headaches and ice pick headaches. It is interesting that noise helps you with your migraine triggers. I have found that noise is by far the best way to deal with my headaches as well. I will watch something or listen to something as soon as my headache cycle starts, but after taking my Sumatriptan. If I lay in a dark and quiet place the headaches just feel more painful. I don't know of a way to prevent or lessen the frequency of ice pick or cluster headaches, so I have to have ways to deal with them as soon as they start. If anyone has found a way to prevent or lessen them, please let me know. I have had a constant cluster headache for a week now. I would love to have a way to stop this from happening again.

Hi Jen, just was interested to see if your having any spinal leak problems. We were getting our patches at the same time last year, but I had another one yesterday. I was given only the blood patch because I have so many allergies. Hoping I will eventually get the glue. Love watching you. I am 79 with this pain in the butt problem! Thanks for all the information. Louise

Yup! I have a few of them that feel a little wobbly if that makes sense

@@MommingwithMigraine it does. Ever since I started watching your channel, I’ve realized my docs have missed a lot. Balance and coordination changes have been brutal since last year. Laying flat is so helpful.
