Thank you so much for your lesson machine quilting I was glued to your lesson also on how to lower your feed dogs can't thank you love your work also love the kitties I have a tabby (Milo)❤😊
Yes!!! That's what I'm going to use for my next 700 quilts until I can do it in my sleep. There-after, I'll move on to the next design. Thank you Miriam, I really enjoy your tutorials.
@@KristanHiggins hmmm 🤔 it could be a couple things. Your thread tension might be a little off. So when the stitches on the back are messed up, that means the top thread tension is messed up and vice versa. I would check that. It could also be simply you need a fresh needle. For some reason, when a needle becomes dull, the stitches can suffer. Hopefully that helps!
I know this is probably the wrong place to ask, but what needles do you use in your sewing machines? My mom gave me her sewing machine years ago and I never changed the needle. I just didn't understand why you needed to do that. Do you have some advice? Maybe you could add it to a video or something. I inherited my moms and grandmothers (plural) sewing things and I have a lot of sewing needles. Just don't know what they are for other than if you needle breaks.
Hi Ann! Sure! So, needles get dull over time and can cause issues with the thread breaking or skipping, so it's good to change them out every once in awhile. I certainly don't change them out as often as some recommend. Maybe once every couple of projects? I can usually tell cuz I start having issues with stitches. haha! As far as the type of needles to use, I use a 90/14 universal needle for everything. I don't use multiple different types of needles of piecing, quilting, binding etc. There are many opinions out there, but I say, just figure out what works for you and specific machine. Don't overthink it! You'll figure out what you like 💖
@@StitchObsessedThank you! I just never thought about needles before. I used the same needle for denim and satin which I didn't know mattered. Thank you again! Happy Thoughts! :)
It would be helpful if you would draw the loops much bigger. When demonstrating how to do this. I barely could even see it, so an exaggerated drawing would have been very helpful. Thank you

Adorable Miriam!
Thank you! Can you tell I love pumpkins? 🎃 😂💖
So helpful for this beginner! Thank you, Miriam.
So glad!💖
@@StitchObsessed That being said, when I tried this in real life, the bottom stitches were really loose in places. Any suggestions?

@@StitchObsessed Thanks! I've messed around with the tension, so it doesn't seem to be that, but I'll try a new needle.

That’s so pretty! I’m going to try this because you’ve given me the confidence to do it. 🤗
You can do it!💖
Thank you so much for showing how to do this. You make it look so easy.
You can do it! It just takes some practice and patience with yourself as you learn 💖

I'm beginning to think of might be able yto do this free motionthing.
You can! It’s so fun too! 💖💖
Did you glue baste this quilt? If so why do you need the pins or do you do both?
I only pin basted this project. A lot of my smaller projects I only pin baste so then I don’t need to wash it when it’s done lol
I noticed you pin basted rather than glue basting this project. Do you find it’s not necessary to glue baste small projects?
Yeah! So smaller projects like that, I find don’t really need the glue. Pins work great! Plus, I didn’t want to wait for the glue to dry 😂😂😂

Could not see the drawing. Perhaps a thin black market would have been easier to see😢
Oh no! So sorry you’re not able to see the markings. Hopefully you can still see the movement and try it out yourself! It’s a fun and easy FMQ design💖
Can not see your art work
What do you mean?
